Indeed, if we Filipinos were to gain some ground in the race to achieve a higher standard of living and thinking - what we Filipinos need and need desperately is more intelligent science and sensible technology. We need no more silly prayer and stupid theology for the glory of a mindless divinity. Poch Suzara
POch, perhaps we needed both without the stupidity.
ReplyDeleteIt is not either/or thinking but and thinking.
The enemy of the best is the good.
Greatness and glory is within reach. Humanity were created perfect 10. What we never realized yet is this potential because many settle for what is only good despite the longing to have the best.
Sir, you say the enemy of the best is the good? According to whom? Poch
ReplyDeleteStephen R. Covey mentioned that in their book First Things First. It does not mean that good is not preferable, it does only mean that humanity settles with mediocrity even if the best is achievable. In Rizal's language this is an indolent attitude - a reluctance to exert extra effort to get the desired results.
ReplyDeletePoch,
ReplyDeleteThe communist already tried your prescription and it failed miserably. Without God we will be worst.
