Fuck Dying, Fuck Death

“Freedom of religion includes freedom from religion . . . Why don't we celebrate living, instead of worrying about damnation and sin?” Ed Schempp, acceptance speech as Humanist of the Year, awarded by The American Humanist Association, 1996 If I may add, indeed, why even worry about dying since the day we are born in this world is the day we begin to live in a dying body! Short, brief, and fleeting as human life is on this piece of dust called "earth" floating aimlessly in space and going no where in time? In the meantime, if we must leave this world one day, let try to leave this world as a better place than how we originally found it. Not necessarily in the material, but in the humanitarian sense. Who or what Creator

Which creation story do you believe written in the holy bible: the one starting at Genesis 1:1 and ending at Genesis 1:31 or do you believe the other creation story at Genesis 2:4 through 25? Since they are different from each other, why bother to believe either story? Since there is a third story!

In his BRIEF HISTORY OF TIME, Scientists Stephen Hawking wrote: "So long as the universe had a beginning, we could suppose it had a creator. But if the universe is really completely self-contained, having no boundary or edge, it would have neither
a beginning nor end: It would simply be. What place, then, for a creator?" Poch Suzara

A Joke Among the Pinoys

A joke among the Pinoys is a face-saving device to avoid the more painful thought of having to laugh at just how broke we are as people culturally, socially, politically,

Our Good for Nothing Politicians

If experience teaches us anything at all, it teaches us this: that a good politician,
under democracy, is quite unthinkable as an honest thief. H. L. Mencken

If I may add, in the Philippines, under our democracy, and due to the horrors of our formative years in grade school, then high school, then college - our politicians are all good; unfortunately, for growth as a people and for maturity as a nation - good for nothing; especially for the glory of God in heaven. What I Resent Even more Bitterly

"Imagine the people who believe such things and who are not ashamed to ignore, totally, all the patient findings of thinking minds through all the centuries since the Bible was written. And it is these ignorant people, the most uneducated, the most unimaginative, the most unthinking among us, who would make themselves the guides and leaders of us all; who would force their feeble and childish beliefs on us; who would invade our schools and libraries and homes. I personally resent it bitterly." Isaac Asimov. Oh my dear Asimov, this is what I personally resent even more bitterly: the atheists always afraid to take a stand against harm. They are afraid because their wives or mothers, sons or daughters, friends and relatives and other business associates will discover that they are in fact more well-read, more well-informed, and, indeed, more well- educated. And so, like a bunch of polite cowards, they hide their intelligence inside the closet. They would rather allow human stupidity to go marching on and on giving religion more power to endlessly support historical insanity. I said it before, I say it again: we atheists have nothing to fear. After all, we have something precious in common with scientists together. We think it most noble in this life to shatter false beliefs, false values, and false teachings. Indeed, atheists are not destroyers of the world. Scientists are not the conquerors of the world. We are the thinkers and the liberators of humankind in this world. Poch Suzara

Lonely People, Alvin Toffler, and Bertrand Russell

"The hurt of being alone, is , of course, hardly new. But loneliness is now so widespread it has become, paradoxically, a shared experience. . . They hunger for institutions worthy of their respect, affection, and loyalty. . .For lonely people, cults offer, in the beginning, indiscriminate friendship . . . A cult, however, sells community, structure, and meaning at any extremely high price: the mindless surrender of the self. For some, no doubt this is the only alternative to personal disintegration. But for most of us the cult's way out is too costly." Alvin Toffler, author, The Third Wave My mentor - Bertrand Russell, as a lonely man during his younger years, had a creative way out. He searched for the truth via mathematics, philosophy, logic, science, physics, sociology, anthropology, history, war, peace, and in the human family. But unlike many great and lonely people, however, Bertrand Russell cultivated a rather self-conscious sensitivity to the troubles of others. Bertrand Russell wrote: "The good life is one inspired by love and guided by knowledge. What the world needs now is not only love but the greater knowledge about the nature of love, in all its complexity." For my part, as a happily and creatively lonely man myself, more than Jesus and his apostles in hell, more than all the saints blessed together by God in heaven - I'd rather have more love, more respect, more loyalty, and more admiration for Bertrand Russell. He encouraged me to QUESTION EVERYTHING including his logic, mathematics, indeed - his philosophy. As he wrote it himself: "Truth is a shinning goddess, always veiled, always distant, never wholly approachable, but worthy of all the devotion of which the human spirit is capable." Poch Suzara

God Forsaking Himself on the Cross

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

If this were true, how come God's only begotten Son, crucified on a cross by
a bunch of lunatics, Jesus cried out loud: "MY GOD, MY GOD WHY HAS THOU FORSAKEN ME?" Mark 15:34

Is this an example of a Revealed Truth: God so loved the world but that he
couldn't care less about his only begotten son Jesus being bullied on the cross
by a gang of lunatics?

In the meantime, Jesus declares in John 10:30 -“I and the Father are one.” I asked it before, I ask it again: was it the greatest miracle ever - God crucified on the cross able to forsake himself? Poch Suzara

Bribery and Vote Market

Far more destructive than the bribe-giver is not only the bribe-taker, but also the bribe-fixer. It is one of the courses offered in Catholic universities. Of course it is not called "bribery." It has a more sophisticated term. It is more known as "college degrees." Then we also have such business ventures like vote buying and vote selling in the vote market arena. It is more known as "general elections" to prove that there exist freedom and democracy in our blessed by God country historically proud of Christianity. Poch Suzara

Successful Failure in Life

Success is what most people settle for when they cannot think of something great or noble enough to be failing at. As for me, since I am always in search of the truth, I do not mind at all that I am such a failure in life. Although I am, indeed, happy and proud to be a successful failure

Meanwhile, with most people, they would rather have faith in deadly revelation. As for me, however, I would rather be on the side of lively evolution. Especially the
evolution of the human mind and heart. Poch Suzara

Our Sick Population - A Growing Problem

According to a recent survey done by SWS (Social Weather Survey) 9.2 MILLION FILIPINOS LOST THEIR JOBS DURING THE LAST 3 MONTHS.

In another report published in the Philippine Star a week ago, seven (7) MILLION FILIPINOS AS RECENT COLLEGE GRADUATES ARE LOOKING FOR EMPLOYMENT HERE AND ABROAD.

In the meantime, we are often told by the religious morons of our sick and corrupt society - that we really have no growing population problem in the Philippines because, eventually, GOD WILL PROVIDE! Poch Suzara

Jose Rizal and Pope Leo X111

"The death sentence is a necessary and efficacious means for the church to attain its ends when obstinate heretics disturb the ecclesiastical order." Pope Leo X111 ( Vincenzo Pecci ) Italian Pope 1878-1903 If I may add, the arrest, incarceration, and public execution of our Jose Rizal in 1896 was precisely one necessary and efficacious means of the church in maintaining ecclesiastical order in the Philippines. The church even lied to its teeth. She continues to teach via its schools, colleges, and universities that hours before Rizal was shot to death, he "retracted." Thus, he died not as a heretic but as a penitent Catholic. Oh yes, already dead, Jose Rizal was never given a Catholic burial. His corpse was just put inside an old sack and then brought and thrown into a hole inside Paco Cemetery. Ineed, how come Rizal a DEAD CATHOLIC was not given proper CATHOLIC BURIAL? In the meantime, millions upon millions of us Filipinos would rather look up with love and respect and adoration a Jewish savior known as Jesus Christ. We hardly care to discover the first Filipino scientist, freedom fighter, and first humanist writer known as Dr. Jose Rizal - first and only Filipino hero who struggled against the evils of Christianity still in moral and spiritual authority over millions of Filipinos in the Philippines today! The Forgiveness of Corruption by God

There is corruption among the rich. There is corruption among the poor. Now it is difficult to say who among the rich and who among the poor is not as corrupt as the rest of us. One thing, however, we can all find easy to agree with. Corruption as a way of life in our corrupt society can only be the corrupt result of our corrupt system of education. After all, it is only in our schools, colleges, and universities where we are taught to believe and to have faith in the teachings of our church: that no matter what, there is always available at the any time from God - the forgiveness of our sins and crimes. Indeed, especially the forgiveness of corruption as the basis of our way of daily life in this only Catholic country in Asia. All we need to do is to repent. And we are assured that we can continue to commit more sins and more crimes in the days ahead. Indeed, notice the merry-go-round of sins and crimes in our poor and backward country that even God is fed up with the sick nonsense! Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

Christianity - the Real Mess in the Philippines

If Christianity has miserably failed to straighten out the mess in this world given more than 2,000 years of opportunities, how could Christianity not also fail miserably to straighten out the mess in the Philippines given more than 400 years of opportunities? Well, not surprisingly, the truth has finally emerged. It turns out that the mess in this world and the mess in the Philippines got messier because of the lies and deceptions more known as "Christianity" to begin with. In this already 21st century, it is time for Christianity to clean up its own mess... She should stop pretending that she has Jesus as the way, the life, and the truth on her side. Indeed, as a matter of historical fact, THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD IS A LIE: Jesus as the Savior of the world was failure and a loser! Indeed, crucified on a cross, Jesus should have acted as his own Savior to begin with and NOT cry out loud: MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME? Poch Suzara

War against Christianity

The trouble with the war against poverty is that there seems to be no end to it. Human misery is never defeated. In fact, thanks to the pretentious drama of the rich Filipinos waging a so-called war against poverty – poor people of our country are multiplying and replenishing at the rate of almost two million babies yearly. Thanks
to Catholic teachings via its schools, such as: “blessed are the poor in spirit, for they shall inherit the kingdom of God.”

I said it before, I say it again: it is time, for the sake of the economy, and especially for the sake of the environment and social sanity, that we should, instead, wage a silly war not against poverty, but a serious war against the teachings of the Catholic church that continues to maintain the wealth, power,
in the Philippines for the sake of Christianity. Poch Suzara

The Evils of Christianity and its Teachings

"Millions of innocent men, women, and children, since the introduction of Christianity, have been burned, tortured, fined and imprisoned; yet we have not advanced one inch toward uniformity. What has been the effect of coercion? To make one half of the world fools and the other half hypocrites. To support roguery and error all over the earth. THOMAS JEFFERSON If I may add, in the Philippines, only the esoteric few are fully aware that our Jose Rizal, aside from being our national hero, was also the greatest heretic our country has ever produced. Indeed, Jose Rizal was arrested, incarcerated, and publicly executed by the greatest enemy of the Philippines then and now - Christianity and its teachings. As I am myself a publicly-declared and openly-avowed Filipino heretic, I say to Jose Rizal, wherever you are - my dear sir: I dare admit that your destroyer - our enemy - Christianity is still pretty much with us. More powerful and harmful than ever. Still in authority teaching us Filipinos to be faithless to our growth as a people; and, indeed, to be faithless to our development as a nation. Man's Endless Search of the Truth

"The comforts that we enjoy are entirely the results of man’s wisdom. They did not come about from reading the Bible or praying to God." Farell Till (Former clergyman)

If I may add, the realities we enjoy are entirely due to man's endless search of the truth. For example, in astronomy, the planet earth is now viewed as a tiny speck in a great cosmos - less noteworthy than a single grain of sand in the Sahara Desert. Poch Suzara

The Truth Hurts

Oh yes, indeed, the truth hurts; but lies are far more damaging and can last for a thousand years. Sadly, due to our sick system of education, college-educated men and women of our country treat lies as something sane and delightful; while the truth as something insane and despicable. Take the GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD - that the Son of God Jesus came down to earth from heaven to save mankind has turned out to be the greatest LIE ever told. Look closer at how such a LIE has damaged historically the growth of the Filipino as a people; and has retarded the development of the Philippines as a nation. Bible Vulgar Messages

Whenever I see a holy bible displayed in a book shelf in a home or inside an office, I immediately know that book has not been thoroughly read nor seriously understood at all. A properly read bible belongs in a garbage dump. No other book has done more harm to the human mind and to the human heart, indeed, no other books has done more damage to a whole country like the Philippines and its culture than the silly lessons, vulgar messages, holy lies, sacred deceptions, contradictions, inconsistencies, obscenities, cruelties, atrocities, and absurdities found in the holy Bible as written by superstitious primitives otherwise more known as the inspired authors of God. There is not one page found in the holy bible that encourages the reader to THINK and to QUESTION EVERYTHING - the very foundation that develops the human capacity via the growth of human intelligence. No lies are Allowed in Science

Dirty politics is exactly like dirty religion: both are generated by dirty lies. In this connection, it is more precious to embrace science, especially the scientific way of thinking. Its values are based on the search of the truth while it debunks religious lies on the one side, and debunks political lies on the other side. No doubt, science is the greatest of man's inventions. Surely, it has its faults; but science is a self-correcting enterprise. The only truth that science recognizes is that there are no sacred truths. Poch Suzara

Vulgar Language versus Vulgar Vaues and beliefs

My Dear Helen, "If a man would follow, today, the teachings of the Old Testament, he would be a criminal. If he would follow strictly the teachings of the New, he would be insane." - - - Robert Ingersoll Helen, another word for "insane" is THE SICK MAN OF ASIA - the frightened men and women as products of schools, colleges, and universities own and operated by the Catholic church in the Philippines. Such frightened men and women are more horrified by harmless "vulgar language" than they should be more terrified by harmful "vulgar beliefs and vulgar values" keeping us Filipinos spiritually sick as a people and morally sick as a nation. Consider in this already 21st century. We Filipinos are still educated to believe that among the countries of Asia, the Philippines has been and still is the one and only country in Asia that's always been BLESSED WITH CHRISTIAN VALUES AND BELIEFS by God and his angels in heaven. Stupid Beliefs as Products of Stupid Religion

The whole idea behind science is to develop the human mind to THINK. The whole idea behind religion is to control the human mind to BELIEVE. If we Filipinos were sick as a people and even more sick as a nation it is simply because most of our BELIEFS are products of STUPID RELIGION as faithfully indoctrinated into us via a stupid system of education generated in schools, colleges, and universities owned and operated by the Catholic church in the Philippines. Silly Biblical Miracles

"The most serious doubt that has been thrown on the authenticity of the biblical miracles is the fact that most of the witnesses in regard to them were fishermen. Arthur "Pitcher" Binstead - 1846-1915 - British Journalist "In the Philippines, however, biblical miracles are all known to be historically factual by college-educated Filipinos - the products of Catholic education in La Salle, Ateneo, San Beda, Letran, UST, Assumption college, St. Scholastica, Aim, Miriam college, etc, etc; in fact, by more than 2,200 of such schools, colleges, and universities own and operated by the Catholic church in this only Catholic country in Asia. We are Born Innocent, not educated

We are a nation with more than a thousand schools, colleges, and universities - mostly own and operated by the Catholic church. Hardly therefore a dozen educated Filipinos. Consider the average Filipino with a college education in our country. He has a better chance to arrive at a high government office if he achieves first a reputation in mediocrity. His main function in government moreover, is to serve the rulers and deceived the ruled. It is, in this way, as citizens of our own Repulic, indeed, as products of our schools, colleges, and universities - we have little sense of civility. We hardly have love for our country instilled into us; instead, during our formative years in school, what is entrusted into our minds and hearts is more love and respect, indeed, more faith in divinity otherwise more known as CHRISTIANITY. Thus, in our own country, it is more nationalistic to declare that we are, first and foremost - Catholics, or Aglipays, or member of the El Shadai, or member of the Jesus is our Lord movement, or member of the Mormon church, etc; hardly, however, are we ever proudly to identify ourselves as Filipinos - citizens of the Republic of the Philippines. Stupid Victims of Religion

Letter to the Editors:

Published today, Feb. 6, 2012, in the Philippine Star, Ripley's BELIEVE IT OR NOT series: "Thousands of people live among the dead as squatters in the North Cemetery of the Philippines Capital - Manila."

In the meantime, in this already 21st century, it is still taught in our schools, colleges, and universities that to have sex for the sake of pleasure is a sin against God; but to have sex for the sake of making babies is a virtue. Indeed, population growth is good business for the priesthood industry as blessed daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly by God keeping us Filipinos historically ahead but only as the Sick Man of Asia.

Only in the Philippines: poor Filipinos living among the dead in the cemetery is proof enough that a kind and loving God up there does not only provide for the dead, but also provides for the living in the Philippines down here.

I said it before, I say it again: we are NOT the intelligent masters; on the contrary, we are the stupid victims of religion keeping us Filipinos directionless as a people and rudderless as a nation! Poch Suzara

A Man without books is the poorest of Men

Philippine Daily Inquirer Letter to the Editors, Dear Sirs: As a high school expelled student of some 60 years ago, I read with much pride and gusto the sane letter written by Ryan Maboloc published today in the PDI, Feb. 2, 2012. Indeed, without books a man suffers poverty of the worst kind: the poverty of the mind and heart. I myself have written before - corruption as the foundation of the Filipino way of life comes mostly from our corrupt system of education. Philosopher Bertrand Russell summarized it: "We are all born ignorant, not corrupt. We are made corrupt by education." Cheers, Poch Suzara

Corruption - the Result of our Corrupt System of Education

Corruption in the Philippines in this 21st century? Take a good look at corruption in the Philippines during the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th century. Jose Rizal wrote in 1886: “In the catalogue of human ills there is to be found a cancer so malignant that the least touch inflames it and cause agonizing pains; afflicted with such a cancer, a social cancer, and seeking the best care for your ills, I shall do with you what was done in ages past with the sick. I shall endeavor to show your condition, faithfully and ruthlessly. I shall lift a corner of the veil which shrouds the disease, sacrificing to the truth everything, even self-love – for, as your son, your defects and weaknesses are also mine.” Today in our sick society, millions upon millions of college-educated Pinoys and Pinays hardly know the real Jose Rizal as one of the greatest thinkers the world has ever produced. Under pains of going to hell forever, millions of Filipinos have been frightened to believe that before he was executed by firing squad, as authorized by the power of the Catholic church, - Rizal cried like a little boy, begged to go to confession, heard mass, received communion, and retracted. After which dead, he was not even given a Catholic burial. His remains just put inside an old sack and then thrown in Paco cemetery. I asked it before, I ask it again: do you people see now why as products of schools, colleges, and universities owned and operated by the Catholic church we Filipinos continue to be the victims as well as the masters of CORRUPTION of the worst kind: The CORRUPTION OF THE FILIPINO MIND AS A PEOPLE and the CORRUPTION OF THE FILIPINO HEART AS A NATION. Faith-Healers are LIARS

Dear Rev. Ben Rivera,

The FAITH-HEALER IS A LIAR. THE BIGGER LIAR IS THAT ONE WHO CLAIMS HE GOT CURED! The cemetery is full of such dead and buried LIARS.

So, at the age of 30, when you became a Christian, how come you did not grow or changed? How come you remained as a dumbstruck Pinoy mentally crippled as ever? Do you honestly believe Jesus is your SAVIOR - the SAVIOR OF THE SICK MAN OF ASIA?
