In the Philippines, the only Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century, - openly and publicly declare yourself as an "atheist" and you face not only what is dangerous, but also what is, at worst, - ridiculous; or, at best, what is - ludicrous. Nobody, but nobody believes in the existence of human intelligence as the best of health and as the greatest of wealth for Filipinos in the Philippines. . . Ken, only one - Jose Rizal - For being courageous and truthful, he was arrested, incarcerated, and then publicly executed by the same power and authority that is still pretty much in control of the Filipino minds and hearts - the Catholic church. Cheers! Poch Suzara
