Adolf Hitler

Hitler was an insane victim of his own heroes – such heroes like the German philosopher Nietzsche who wrote about the super race of men to rule the world.
In the world of philosophy, Nietzsche was a disgrace, not a grace. He believed not in world peace through love, but in world war through hate. Too bad war has never, as yet, solved anything except the motivation for the declaration of a next war.
If you want peace, prepare for war? On the contrary, if you want peace, prepare for peace! Poch Suzara

As an Atheist

As an atheist I have no interest in the system of reward or punishment. I am happy enough living my life without any sense of heaven as a place of reward or hell as a place of punishment. My sense of morality has nothing to do with pleasing divine grace. I am more interested with the growth and maturity via common decency of the human race. Poch Suzara

Happiness

If happiness depends upon the power of thought, then I dare say that most people suffer from unhappiness. Especially as they are consistently thoughtless, if not perpetually mindless, not to mention perennially heartless. Poch Suzara

Jesus in Our Hearts

In grade school, high school, and in college at De la Salle University nothing was put into our hearts except the love for Jesus who preached: - “love not this world, neither the things that are in the world.” It explains why we do not love our country, and why, indeed, we are a nation of failures and losers still believing and waiting for the Second Coming of the Lord. Poor Filipino People

How could we Filipinos ever mature as a people and develop as a nation when we have been taught to believe that there is a better country to go to after birth, and that there is a better world to come after death? Indeed, what can be expected of a people enjoying only the freedom of Christianity, by Christianity, and for Christianity? Poch Suzara

Holy Books

One may know all the messages written in the bible, or the Quran, or in the Talmud, but continue to remain shamelessly ignorant of science and the scientific way of thinking. After all, what exactly do sacred writings have anything to do with the growth and maturity of the human mind and heart that’s so much needed to straighten the mess out of this God-forsaken world due to stupid religion? Poch Suzara

I love Bertrand Russell

I love Bertrand Russell not for turning mathematics upside-down and logic inside-out, but for never threatening me with punishment in hell-fire if I did not agree with any of his writings. In fact, Russell encouraged me to disagree with him and to think for myself; especially in the task of seeking the truth as no one, as Russell himself admitted, has as yet found the truth.

Russell wrote: All human knowledge is uncertain, inexact, and partial. I disagree and ask: what’s so uncertain, inexact, and partial about the truth that we are all born troubled, sick, and dying? Indeed, except for Melchisedec in the bible, there is no such thing as health. There has never been any one who lived anywhere on this planet who enjoyed everlasting  lasting health! Poch Suzara

Our Troubled Selves

There is the good side and the bad side in everything; except in religion - there is only the bad side. Religion damages the minds and hearts of children to grow up with so much fear and deep in ignorance to be unable to help remedy the world so full of hatred that grows out of fear.
Consider this painful fact: whether rich or poor, each and every one of us are born troubled. Indeed, as soon as we are born, we begin to die. There is no such thing as health. Health is a myth. In the meantime, if religion were to have its good side, it must be in the business of alleviating these horrors not with faith in human stupidity, but simply by facing and changing reality. After all, reality is malleable; not inscrutable. The science of medicine in this respect has achieved wonders! Poch Suzara

Believe It or Not

If you wish to set up a Foundation and have it registered with the government office in the Philippines known as THE SECURITY AND EXCHANGE COMMISSION, you must first submit a letter of appointment from any of Catholic Bishops of the Philippines. The Foundation must start with a basic worth of ONE MILLION PESOS. For my part, I do not believe it. What I do believe, however, is that there is no such creature called the Separation between Church and State in the Philippines. In fact, both the Church and State have been having an illicit affair together and they have begotten millions of poor and bastard children. They are known as the Filipino people – the Sick Man of Asia. Poch Suzara

Jesus, the Pinoy

Jesus was crucified dead on the cross to destroy the devil. The devil, however, is still alive and doing actively well. Jesus must have been a Pinoy. Puro drama.
In the meantime, it is incredible to believe how millions of Pinoys never find it strange that in order to be a friend of God we must first declare ourselves as an enemy of fellow-Filipinos and that we must hate to work for the welfare of our own country. Poch Suzara

Animals

We are all born unbelievers, not believers. We are turned into frightened believers by indoctrination. To think that animals are born animals and no one in the animal kingdom would hate or kill other animals for the glory of God in heaven. Only the frightened human believers do hate and kill each other; specially if what nobody believes what everybody else have been threatened to believe. Poch Suzara

The Biological Fact

The biological fact is the day we are born is the day we begin to die. Birth, growth, death, and decay amount to the same realty. Indeed, each unfolding reality contains the seeds of its own destruction and the embryo of a new reality that will replace it. In the ultimate analysis, however, there is no such thing as health because even in health we are already dying, aren’t we? It is all a question of time. Today, it is me. Tomorrow, it is you. In the meantime, what is, say, 70 or 80 years of human life on this earth compared to a powerful God already existing for some, say, 80,000,000,000 years of life out there in the universe? In fact, how could we offend such a God whose existence, we are told, has no beginning and no end? Poch Suzara

Why Something

Why is there something rather than nothing? But then again, why is God a nothing? Hardly a something? What is God? Where is God? How come God is always omni-absent, never omni-present? How come God is always invisible? What is so great and supernatural about a God always hiding mysteriously far away from everybody’s sense of sight or sense of touch? Hello! Poch Suzara

Religion Against Religions

Have you ever heard of atheist who hated and killed another atheist for not believing in God?
What about you religious morons? When will you wake up to stop hating and killing each other in God’s name and for his glory in heaven, or in Allah’s name for his glory in paradise?
Look at the Dark Ages of our world. It is mostly about Catholics against Protestants. Protestants against Protestants. Christians against Muslims. Muslims against the Jews and Christians against each other.
Is God really that cold-blooded in perfection, lost in self-admiration, always hungry for scenes that have mostly to do with death and destruction? Whatever happened to the beauty of renovation, or the art of reconstruction? Poch Suzara

The United States Government

The United States government would rather be wasting TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS on stupid wars against other countries than be spending monies on medical science research to find the cure of terminal diseases such as malignant brain cancer. Another even far more dreadful disease terrorizing America itself and other nations of the world is called – RELIGION. Poch Suzara

Chronic Boredom

Boredom is a chronic disease of the rich, not the poor. Chronic boredom stays with the rich round the clock. It smothers enthusiasm, impoverishes the imagination, saps personal energy, and inspires fear of new and fresh ideas. Most rich people would admit that they are bored; but never would they ever admit that they are boring. Indeed, rich people are always bored to death though they are always looking for excitement to help them prevent the necessity of thought.
In the meantime, economics is a scam to confuse and to take advantage of the poor for cheap labor. If the economists knew exactly what they are talking about, they would have been wiped poverty out of this world centuries ago. Poch Suzara

Free Choice

In the free choice to choose between thoughtless belief or thoughtful unbelief, without hesitation, I choose thoughtful unbelief. Sooner or later, for the sake of higher learning, we must abandon faith, especially in not wanting to know what is true. Poch Suzara

Christ Experienced

I am told that Christ is best experienced, not explained. Well, that's fine and dandy. But we should experience Christ as a member of which church? Baptist, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Adventist, Methodist, Unitarian, Presbyterian, Anglican, Episcopalian, Mormon, Catholic, Iglesia ni Cristo, El Shaddai, Jesus is Lord Fellowship?
To think even Christ himself never experienced anything inside a Christian “church.” He did, however, explained himself why he was more at home inside a Jewish “synagogue.”
Christianity is the venereal disease of the Pinoys. Christianity is what makes the Filipino the Sick Man of Asia. Look how in this 21st century, we continue to love Jesus up there by hating fellow-Filipinos down here. Poch Suzara

Blind Faith versus Bright Reason

Faith continues to be popular because, like “humility,” it makes a virtue out of lazy mentality which is really a euphemism for ecclesiastical stupidity. Blind faith makes us see only 2 sides of every coin. I’d rather enjoy clear-eyed reason. It is more creative and expansive: it makes me see the 7 sides of every coin: left and right, top and bottom, back and front, and the middle side. In the meantime, to advocate that a belief be accepted without the scrutiny of reason is to advocate that a belief be accepted without thought and without verification. Poch Suzara

Born in the Flesh

“That which is born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born of spirit is spirit.” Gospel of John 3:6.
In the meantime, it is, indeed, anybody’s guess how many children in our sick society owe their existence to the spirit of vanity, sadism, and masochism, rather than to the flesh of love or genuine physical attraction. Most men, however, prefer to think that they are libidinous or oversexed in the flesh rather than believe that they are vicious, lascivious, or, in the spirit, - idiotically salacious. Poch Suzara
