My Atheism - for Peewee

Peewee, Thanks for your great and indeed, sensible response to my piece - "Why we Atheists do not believe in the Christian God." Here, however, are great gods if taught to me to believe when I was a little boy at home and in school - I never would have entertained the beauty and the harmony of ATHEISM. Indeed, after I am dead, and it turns out that I will meet with these gods in the next life, I will surely shake each of their hands with gratitude and pride. Such gods, I will always believe and have faith in. Moreover, I will also always love faithfully, worship respectfully, and adore intellectually these great and wonderful gods: A legend is told of the creation of the universe. The gods held a conference and one of them said, "Let us give to man the same creative power that we ourselves possess. Where shall we hide this priceless gift?" Another answered, "Let us hide it where man will never think to look for it: within his own mind." Poch Suzara

Faith

Faith is not wanting to know what is true.
In fact, faith is not wanting to know the truth
why we Filipinos continue to remain spiritually
poor as a people and continue to remain backward
morally as a nation.

Faith is also protecting and defending ecclesiasticism.
Inspired in all of us during our childhood years getting
ourselves soaked in catechism. The catechism that meant
for us to believe that God will take care of our daily
bread. That God will aways provide! That God will never
lead us into temptation. That we must only always obey
God, not men!

Never mind our country of people,
nature, and the flesh, low and depraved as
they are, and therefore should be of little
concern or consequences for those millions
of us seeking to live the real life
in the real next world after death. After all,
this world is merely a stopover on our journey
to the next world. Therefore the less attention
placed on it, and more attention placed on
God’s kingdom in heaven, the rewards will
be greater, more everlasting.

Indeed, we Filipinos have never been
the rich masters of faith. On the contrary,
we have always been the poor victims of faith.

Dear reader, I have just described above
for you the basic causes in what keeps us
Filipinos, in this already 21st century, still
so faithful in getting ourselves more famous as
the Sick Man of Asia. Poch Suzara

Peace with Jesus

Jesus said... Have peace one with another ...On earth peace, good will toward men... Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you... Blessed are the peacemakers...These things have I spoken unto you that in me ye might have peace... Resist not evil; but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” These are all great and wonderful messages from dear Jesus; except, could any of you bible believers, theologically inspired faithful bible readers, please explain what is so noble about turning the other cheek, if one knows that each time he does so, he is piling up greater Heavenly rewards, while the one who strikes him is earning his rewards in Hell? Poch Suzara

Excuse me Guys and Gals

Excuse me guys and gals, but I don't blame anyone for what is wrong with us Filipinos. I blame the creator. God created the Jews, Chinese, Koreans, Spaniards, Americans, Japanese, etc, in his own image and likeness. Except the filipinos. God did not create the Filipinos in His own image and likeness. God created the Filipinos only to be good; especially to be good for nothing Christians. Consider we are the only Christian country in all of Asia since the 16th century. Indeed, I said it before, I say it again: If we were created in the image and likeness of God, we should be among the rich and powerful masters, and not the poor and faithful servants in countries of this world! Pope’ s Public Apology

After apologizing for sexual abuse of children in church, in behalf
of the catholic church, the Pope should also publicly apologize for
the intellectual abuse of children in school – teaching them to
believe worthless values about life after birth and to have faith
in even more worthless values about life after death.

After which, I want the Pope to apologize for the wrongful public
execution of Jose Rizal in 1896. He was not a criminal nor was he
a sinner. He was just a bright thinker. Rizal delivered enlightenment
for the minds and hearts of Filipino children to enjoy via the
development of ideas for the here; the growth of knowledge for the
now; and the establishment of common human decency everywhere
in our country - the Philippines.

Our Jose Rizal was publicly executed because he showed more human
love and human respect for earthly humanity down here. He could
not give a hoot for a celestial divinity out there. Poch Suzara

The Religiously Moronic

I am told that in my writings I should try avoid using the words like “religious morons.” That I should, instead, politely refer to same as the “religious adherents.” I say fuck that shit. Those who had our own hero - Jose Rizal - arrested, jailed, and executed more than a hundred years ago were not the religious adherents. They were the religious morons – the Catholic Spanish friars. They were out to establish and to enhance not common Filipino decency in our land, but to protect and defend highly profitable big business otherwise more known as the Catholic Church in the Philippines. Ever since then, since there were no more heroes in the likes of a Jose Rizal, in this already 21st century, the Catholic church has become the richest and most powerful corporation existing in the Philippines. The majority of impoverished Filipinos are its clients, especially in buying daily love and indulgences from God through the power of prayer. Indeed, Filipinos have been taught to believe and to have faith in God who will always provide. If not here on this earth, later after death with God in the kingdom of heaven. What could be more religiously moronic than that? Poch Suzara

We, the Corrupt People

We, the corrupt people, get the corrupt government
we deserve; especially, as we are the corrupt product
of a corrupt system of education.

Indeed, to begin with, our schools, colleges, and
universities exist as commercial enterprises. They
are more functional as a corporation. They hardly
have anything to do with the growth of knowledge
or the development of wisdom under the power of
education.

We Filipinos are all born ignorant, not corrupt.
We are made corrupt in our schools, colleges, and
universities. Poch Suzara

I say it Again

I said it before, I say it again: Unless we all learn to become
atheists – to stop believing in a God or Allah or Yahweh or a
Burning Bush or what-not – we shall never be able to proceed on
the road towards global beauty and harmony for a better and a
healthier humanity.

Peace on earth and goodwill to all men is only possible as soon
as we all dump into the garbage bin all of our mindless religious
beliefs and thoughtless religious values. Indeed, nothing is
more constrictive, and in the long run more destructive than a
belief that is based on childish lies, if not infantile, -
deceptions.

Religion should be a private and a personal affair. Organized
religion, however, should never be taught in our schools, colleges,
and universities. If we ever hope for education to be truthful,
useful, and lively, it must be kept away from organized religion
which is dreadful, useless, and deadly. Organized religion is
simply nothing but organized insanity.

In the meantime, let us, indeed, teach our children that there
are bigger things in this world than we are - our family, our
country, this planet earth, and the whole of mankind - these
realities are bigger things than we are. And not some supernatural
silly monster somewhere out there in space eternally existing
only because of our infantile, nevertheless fearful - blind faith.

Faithful Believers

Faithful believers believe that God is a good and a loving
God and wants believers to do good things. In fact, most
believers, naturally enough, want to do good things and to
behave morally.

Sadly, however, millions of believers do not read the Bible,
or just read certain passages of it in church. It is
understandable. The Bible is hard to read due to its archaic
language and obscure references. Also many priests and
preachers don’t want you to read certain passages written
in the Bible because they convey a message of loss, not
profit. Indeed, a message for bankruptcy; not financial
security. For example, “thou shall not follow the multitude
to do evil.” Exodus 23:2.

Imagine the tremendous loss of revenues for the priesthood
industry if everyone follows not the multitude to do evil?
What will happen to the billions that the church makes as
monthly income by protecting and defending evil in this
world? The more evil there are existing in this world the
better justification it is for the church to pretend to be
against such evils. But as a matter of historical fact, the
church has always had a vested interest in human misery,
poverty, and indeed, the concocted existence of deviltry.

Could anything thoughtful be build on a thoughtless rock?
And why should the gates of hell prevail against a mindless
piece of rock? In the meantime, during these past centuries,
in the Philippines, for example, when was the Son of God
Jesus ever around? The Savior of Filipinos? The Redeemer
of all mankind? Or, the whereabouts of his apostles who were
given the power and authority to destroy the devil? Time has
elapse. But the devil is still pretty much around lively, if
not as ever - deadly.

For the most part, evil build the church as the church
established herself with more evils she produced for the
multitude to fear. In fact, both the church and evil have
always been in cahoots existing as faithful partners happy
together!

Now, my dear reader, if you wish to understand the nature
of evil in this world, just take a hard look at your church
existing for over 2,000 years. She's getting richer, more
powerful, and enjoying more authority and glory not due
to the elimination of evil in this world; but precisely
due to the multiplication of more and greater evils created
into this world. Our World.

I said it before, I say it again: if we truly hope to live
the good life - one inspired by love and guided by knowledge
- especially for the sake of establishing a good and a happy
world for all mankind - it is time to dump the evil church
permanently out of this only precious world of ours!

We do not need a God out there for us to love one another down
here. We need only to love one another down here and that is
all that matters. Let us cultivate of our precious minds and
precious hearts through precious education. In this way, human
civilization becomes far more precious as compared to the
avoidance of a silly eternal damnation for the sake of gaining
a worthless non-existing equally silly eternal salvation. Poch

Atheism in the Philippines

If there were one true existing god, there should only be one true existing religion — and it's obvious that there many religions in conflict against each other. The theistic world is divided into several different main existing religions, - Judaism, Christianity, Islam, etc each of which is divided into groups hating other groups. And, many of those are divided into even smaller groups. The Christian faith, for instance, is divided into over 33,000 denominations. They have published some 88 different versions of the holy bible sold in the market today. Atheists, on the other hand, stand always united. We do not hate or kill other atheists for not believing in the existence of God. In fact, hating and killing comes from belief; never from unbelief. We Filipino atheists are so proud of the fact that no Filipino has ever become filthy rich for believing that God is bad. We are, however, so ashamed of the fact that millions upon millions of Filipinos are filthy poor and yet they all believe that God is good. Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

Matthew - Silly Inspired Author of God

“Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” Matt. 10:30. Matthew could have made more sense had he been a circus clown and not a bible writer. It is, indeed, laughable also to believe that God inspired Matthew to write this kind of spiritual hogwash. Golly, we live on a speck of dust called earth lost in the immensity of space and time. Human life is but a split second long, a wink of an eye, a flash in the pan compared to the life of the universe. But, according to Matthew, the Lord seems to welcome divine anxiety for as long human stupidity will last as long as eternity? Isn't this nothing but religious insanity to sustain the existence of a silly divinity and to support silly deviltry? Poch Suzara

For manny amador

For Manny Amador,

If your God exists, tell him to come down and introduce himself
to me. And when that happens, do you really believe that I will
begin to believe, love, worship, and adore such a supernatural
monster?

The trouble with you is that you do not read and therefore you
have no idea of what's written in your own so-called holy bible.

Well, to begin with, why should you read anything since
you are already enjoying with much fear your faith in BLIND
FAITH?

And to think that amongst you - the faithfools - are the
teachers and the professors of our schools, colleges, and
universities. Mostly owned and controlled by the corrupt
politico-economic-clerico elite keeping the Filipino proud
and famous as the Sick Man of Asia. Poch Suzara

The power of Ignorance

Everything in the Philippines is a failure; except ignorance. It is quite a success. Indeed, knowledge is power. In the Philippines, however, ignorance is even more powerful. Look how ignorance prevails In our sick country. However, as products of Catholic schools, colleges, and universities – look how in this already 21st century we still believe that after death there will be better world for all of us to go to. It is more popularly known as the kingdom of God in heaven. In other words, we Filipinos have no life after birth; we should only look forward to a real life after death. Religion of the Failures and the Losers

Jesus declared that the first will be the last, the weak will be the strong, and the fools will be the wise. Jesus was not a friend of the victor, of the strong, and of the wise. On the contrary, Jesus was the prophet of the losers, failures, and the faithfools. Look at Jesus himself. He got crucified on the cross by men created in the image and likeness of His own Father - God? Is it any wonder, crucified on the cross, Jesus cried out loud: "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAST FORSAKEN ME?" Matt. 27:46. And to think that this is the same Jesus who bragged: "I AM THE WAY, THE LIFE, AND THE TRUTH." John 14:6. The same Jesus who declared: "I AND MY FATHER ARE ONE." John 10:30. Our Failure as Parents

In this already 21st century, look at our Nation’s children – well-nourished, healthy, and loved in the minority; but in the majority malnourished, sick and unwanted and unloved. Nevertheless we still believe that children are all created in the image and likeness of a supernatural foreigner. Otherwise more known as God. Who, with a Virgin Mary, had begotten a Son name Jesus. Who died on the cross to save us not from the stupid devil, but to save us from our stupid sins. Poch Suzara

Just 4 Elements

According to science, oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, and nitrogen
make up 96 per cent of the human body. The rest of the 4 per cent,
according to religion, comprises the soul, a thing created by God.
As to which God, or what is the nature of a soul – nobody knows!

It seems that in terms of space, the existence of the human body
is purposeless. In terms of time, human life is meaningless. The
sooner we accept these brutal facts, the sooner we can learn to be
happy, however, briefly, however temporary, happiness may be.
After all, in the end, nature will kill us all. Which only proves
that nature itself knows not what she is doing, or where she is
going. Poch Suzara

In This Life

In this short, brief, life, I have discovered down through the years,
that I always found what I was looking for. And I have always been
looking for happiness. I certainly found happiness; but as it turned
out, much to my surprised, I found something far more precious than
happiness: I found myself. Indeed, Socrates, the Greek philosopher,
said it some 2,300 years ago: “The un-examined life is not worth living
for man.”

How have I found happiness, and how have I found myself? For one thing
down through years of serious reading, I was able, first and foremost,
to successfully recapture the most priceless treasure stolen away from
me during childhood days in school – my most precious mind. Poch Suzara

We, freethinkers

We freethinkers enjoy the power and the beauty of free thought.
We can discuss on the premise that God exists. We can as well
discuss on the premise that God does not exist. In either case,
we freethinkers are free.

We defend nothing except the only thing that is worth defending
at any time – the only thing sacred in this world - the power
and the beauty of a free mind.

No one has ever proved or disproved the existence of God. As
freethinkers, however, even if all sorts of evidences are presented
to us that there really is a God, we would still be freethinkers,
and happily so.

So God exists. So what? Will our world now be less fucked than it
has been during the past many centuries when the whole world did
in fact believe in the existence of God? Poch Suzara

The Weird Designer

If God designed man in his own image and likeness, what a weird designer God must be. Look at the human body – inside and out. It is Truly Sad

It is truly sad, Pinoys and Pinays born of poor families existing in the
slums of our major cities. A few of them, somehow, by hook or by crook,
able to go to grade school, high school, and college. Then happily get
a menial job in the Philippines, and then even more happily get a better
job, with better wages, working in a foreign country. And yet, by and large,
they choose to remain poor, especially poor in spirit. They continue to
negate the reality that the greatest of wealth can only come from mental
health. Indeed, the worst kind of poverty is the poverty of the mind and
heart. A great many of these well-employed Filipino workers overseas have
neither the interest nor the courage to explore and admit the horrors of
poverty still uncontrollably spreading in our poor and backward country.
Surely, they remit monies for their families back home. But I have yet to
hear from these college-educated Pinoys and Pinays lessons they learned
or their own ideas, explanations or the reasons why exactly foreign countries
are able to hire them. Why, for example, these foreign countries enjoy a
higher standard of education thus enjoy the pleasures of a higher standard
of living and thinking.

I too was born of a poor family. I also managed, somehow, to export myself
to live and work, for some seventeen years, in a foreign country. But never
was there ever a day in America where I was utterly thoughtless or mindless
of the plight of poor fellow-Filipinos I had left behind in the only
Christian country in Asia – my beloved country – the Philippines. Oh yes,
I love my country. Not necessarily for what she is, but for the potentials
she has to become too, one the healthiest, wealthiest, and the greatest
country in all of Asia. Poch Suzara

Hitler - an Atheist - Excuse me!

Hitler - an atheist - excuse me. On the contrary, Hitler was born into a Catholic family and went to Catholic school as a child. The redeeming feature about Hitler’s life was that he never publicly renounced his faith as a Catholic. Listen to Hitler’s best friend, Rudolf Hess, later to be deputy Fuhrer. In a letter Hess wrote to the Prime Minister of Bavaria, he said: “I know Herr Hitler very personally and am quite close to him. He has an unusually honorable character, full of profound kindness, is religious, a good Catholic.” Hitler, in his MEIN KAMPF, wrote: “Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jews, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.” Hitler’s Nazi army belt buckles were inscribed with “GOTT MIT UNS.” Meaning “GOD WITH US.” Hitler, an atheist? Excuse me! Hate and wars are declared and waged by stupid men with sacred beliefs, and not because intelligent men are intelligent enough to have no sacred beliefs. Thus, no one has, as yet, ever heard of atheists killing other atheists because they do not believe in God. As for me, in my simplicity, always on the side of human decency, and with all due respect, love and affection to my Catholic parents, Catholic grandparents, Catholic great grandparents and ancestors all the way from China, America, Ireland, Spain, Italy, and Greece - I thank God that I have learned to become a happy and a proud and soon to be resting in peace - atheist. What have I to offer You as I am an Atheist

When the foreigners arrived in the 16th century, we had the land, and they had the bible. Today in the 21st century, we Filipinos still have the bible and the foreigners own not only most of our land, but are also the owners of schools, colleges, and universities in the Philippines. Not to mention the media. Such commercial enterprises continue to teach us Filipinos to be proud of our Christian faith. Especially for as long as we do not bother to read what’s precisely written n the bible. A book written not by Filipinos but written by foreigners – the Jews – the “elect,” God’s “chosen people.” My dear reader, I ask: have you ever wondered why we Filipinos feel so proud and lucky to be employed by foreigners right here in our own country? If not feel even more proud and luckier to be employed in foreign countries? In the meantime, a great number of poverty-stricken jobless Filipinos nevertheless feel so blessed by God as the bible declares: “Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the land." Also, "For in much wisdom is much grief; and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow." Or even more socially disastrous, the bible warns - "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge." On the contrary, when a Christian allows one kind of fear to dominate him, he soon comes to be dominated by other kinds of fear also. Listen to our own Jose Rizal - arrested, jailed, and publicly executed for writing two books that shook the foundation of Christianity in the Philippines. He stressed the worth of the Filipino. He emphasized the fact that human dignity is a person’s worth, that which makes him stand above all other creatures. In his exchange of ideas on human rights and freedom with Fr. Pablo Pastells, Rizal said: “ Man’s dignity is precious to him. He carries within him a feeling of importance, a regard for his value and worth. When man ceases to value his dignity as a human being, he ceases to be a man. He forgets that nothing, indeed, is more excellent than humanity. . . Deprive a man of his dignity, and you not only deprive him of his moral stamina, but you also render him useless even to those who want to make use of him. . . Man in his self-respect; take it away from him and he becomes a corpse.” There is, indeed, something feeble, if not despicable, about a Filipino who cannot live his life unless sustained by the belief in deadly superstitions. Such as - one need not bother with poverty, disease, and population growth because God will provide. Or, that "blessed are those who are poor in spirit. They shall inherit the kingdom of God in heaven." It is time for us Filipinos to be receptive to the values of science and scientific way of thinking, and technology. Such values should help us extricate ourselves out of poverty by generating our intellectual growth as a people, and development as a civilized and matured nation. It is also time to realize that we have been educated to be amenable to more of the same blind faith in the Christian way of life. It has, indeed, turned out to be our worst enemy: faith kills the mind before other diseases kill the body. Faith is just another sacred word we have been taught to employ to justify a lazy mentality, rationalize our lack of creativity, if not to maintain and to support the ways of our sick society. So deeply rooted in the teachings of Christianity. The test of a true religion, however, has nothing to do with a holy book, or how Old or New are its Testaments. It has nothing to do with prayer rally part 1, 2, and 3. It has nothing to do with bombastic preachings delivered by real estate brokers devouring financial offerings from blind and ignorant Jesus followers. It has nothing to do with a pie in the sky or an ally in the sky. On the contrary, a true religion should generate human love and compassion in the here and now that binds the human family together in this precious life. Indeed, a true religion does not inspire stupidity or insecurity; neither does it encourage running away from the problems of human society. Indeed, a true religion knows full well that the truth hurts, but knows even more that lies and deceptions are far more damaging and can last for a thousand years. As for me, an atheist, what have I to offer fellow-Filipinos in this religiously sick country of ours. Only one thing creative as it is constructive: I offer you the courage to take back what was stolen away from you during formative years in school - the most priceless treasure in the world – your precious mind and precious hearts as Filipinos! In this way, you need no longer waste more time and energy loving a foreign imagery being up out there, and wasting even more time by hating one another down here! Indeed, we need to remedy the ills of our sick society with intellectual revolution, via the evolution of our precious minds and hearts to learn to become proud Filipinos. To be proud of our women. To be proud of our children. to be proud of our government. Indeed, to be proud of the one and only country we were all born into - the Philippines! The aim of Christian education in the Philippines has always been about the pursuit of learning for the "Greater Glory of God." Here, however, is how the bible describes God and the glory of his temper and his tantrum: "I will sweep away everything in all your land," says the LORD. "I will sweep away both people and animals alike. Even the birds of the air and the fish in the sea will die. I will reduce the wicked to heaps of rubble, along with the rest of humanity," says the LORD. "I will crush Judah and Jerusalem with my fist and destroy every last trace of their Baal worship. I will put an end to all the idolatrous priests, so that even the memory of them will disappear. For they go up to their roofs and bow to the sun, moon, and stars. They claim to follow the LORD, but then they worship Molech, too. So now I will destroy them! And I will destroy those who used to worship me but now no longer do. They no longer ask for the LORD's guidance or seek my blessings." (Zephaniah 1:2-6) Today, throughout the Christian world, except in the Philippines - Christianity is tearing itself apart externally as it is collapsing internally. Today, throughout the Christian world, except in the Philippines, priestly authority and priestly respect exist no more or have been sensibly diminished. Today, throughout the Christian world, except in the Philippines, the superstructure of ecclesiastical privilege is tottering. Its fall is inevitable as its foundation has largely been based upon sacred lies and holy deceptions. It is time to educate ourselves to establish right here in our own country a sane and a healthy society. It is time we promote in our country nothing but the beauty of common Filipino decency. It is also time to read properly and thoroughly the bible. In this way, as we begin to learn and understand just exactly how destructive bible messages have been and still are - we can begin to rock the Christian boat; preferably to sink it. THE POWER OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION

Who can deny the power of Christian education via our schools, colleges, and universities? Take a good look at this sad fact: 98 per cent of all college-educated Pinoys and Pinays are far more comfortable with the life and times not of our own Jose Rizal, but of a Jewish fellow otherwise more known as Jesus Christ born in a Jewish land some 2,000 years ago. Our Jose Rizal was arrested, jailed, and executed to death in order to protect and defend the power of Christian education in the Philippines. It is, in this way, that only few Filipinos are conversant with the real Jose Rizal, born in the Philippines some 151 years ago. His killer – the power of Christian education – conveniently removed him off the world stage as one of the greatest of thinkers/freedom fighters the Philippines has ever produced. Indeed, Rizal was not a silly believer. He was an intelligent thinker! That is why, his killers - those behind the power of Christian education in the Philippines, - all ended up as saints still preaching that Jose Rizal was nothing but a repentant sinner! This is sanctimonious bullshit, if I may say to. Greece had a Socrates. France a Voltaire. Germany a Nietzche. Austria a Freud. China a Sun Yet- Sen. England a Darwin, Newton, and a Bertrand Russell. Italy a Galileo and a Bruno. America a Tom Paine and Ingersoll and Durant. Cuba a Jose Marti, Che and Fidel Castro. Singapore a Lee Kuan Yew. Vietnam a Ho Chi Minh. These were some of the great men who, with courage and intellect, put more sense into the minds of men and the hearts of women where education has put only traditional, if not sacred horrors. We Filipinos could have had a Jose Rizal. The greatest and rarest Filipino this country has ever produced. A martyr to the cause of Human Rights and freedom. Unfortunately, the Catholic Church put him down to size. Millions of Filipinos still have no inkling why Rizal was one of mankind’s greatest heroes. Indeed, college professors, historians, biographers, including his own descendants have been frightened by the Catholic Church authority to believe that Rizal was executed while repentant of his sins against God and regretful of his crimes against his own people. What brazen lies to tell about the greatest Filipino who ever lived. The greatest Filipino who died standing up sober and not drunk kneeling down with religious lies. In the meantime, pontifical fear and ecclesiastical ignorance are the recycled garbage generated in our schools, colleges, and universities. Especially those owned and managed by the Catholic Church and other religious organizations in the Philippines. Consider the average Filipino in this 21st century: he is more comfortable with infantile prayer under a theology than he is at home with intelligent science producing technology to enhance our freedom and democracy and to eliminate poverty out of our sick society. The power of Christian education in the Philippines? In our schools, colleges, and universities - they still teach that our Jose Rizal was nobody precious, nobody meritorious as compared to Jesus, the Son of a Jewish God. Poch Suzara

Education in the Philippines

Education in the Philippines, for the most part, is a state manipulation
in partner with the church organization, out to spread, for the glory of
God in heaven, the gospel of profitable confusion.

It is, in this way, as the Sick Man of Asia, we Filipinos have so much
faith in our daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly delusion.

We are even taught to believe that these horrors are the best way to gain
God's reward later after death more known as "eternal salvation." Poch Suzara

God this and God that in the Philippines

In the Philippines, we are told again and again that: "Daily work takes
on eternal value when it is done for God.” (See Phil Star today March 26,
2010)

I ask: Is God such a helpless or a worthless supernatural being in that
we Filipinos have to work for him? For what? To make sure that the millions
of us jobless in this only Christian country in Asia - we keep God eternally
alive and not dead or dying?

Again, Philippine Star assures us that: “God’s strength is best seen in our
weakness.” No kidding?

In the meantime, our daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly offerings to God do
not go to God. They are devoured by the priesthood industry - getting richer
and richer otherwise more known as the Vatican Bank - the richest bank in the world today. Poch Suzara

Christian Responsibility

For Manny Amador and his religious Gang

When you are confronted with your Christian responsibility, many of you begin to wonder where on earth you are going to get the courage and power to share your faith with others. And you are right. The strength you need comes from nowhere on earth. It comes directly from heaven. In the meantime, you read in the bible that: “Jesus summoned his twelve disciples and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to cure every disease and every sickness (Matthew 10:1).

Well, I ask: Does it really take 2,000 years with power and authority from God to cure every disease and every sickness on this earth? Especially in the Philippines, the only Christian country in Asia since the 16th century? We are still infected not only with every disease and every sickness, but also infested with poverty, misery, social and religious insanity! We are still being educated to believe that this life is a sick life; but that there is, comparatively, a healthy and wealthy life to come but only after death in the kingdom of God in heaven!

In the meantime, some 15,000,000 (million) college-educated Pinoys and Pinays have already left to live and work overseas. There are no employment opportunities in the Philippines. For Christ's sake, there is not even such a thing as God will provide with power and authority to remedy the endless ills of our sick society! Poch Suzara

To Be Moral

To be moral, according to Jesus, I must shackle my reason. I must force myself to believe and have faith in what I cannot understand. I must suppress, in the name of morality, any doubts that surface in my mind. I must regard as a mark of excellence an unwillingness to subject religious beliefs to critical analysis. Less doubts, less criticism leads to more faith – and faith, Jesus declares, is the hallmark of virtue. Indeed, “unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matt. 18:3. Children, after all, are always gullible enough believe even in the existence of Santa Claus. As an atheist, - I am a man of self-esteem. I therefore cannot quality to be a candidate for the master-slave relationship that Christianity offers me. A man lacking in self-esteem, a man ridden with guilt, will frequently prefer the apparent security of Christianity over independence and find comfort in the thought that, for the price of total submissiveness, God will love and protect and reward him especially after death in heaven eternally. I am an atheist because I have no need to pay a dear price for that deadly religious way of life: the mindless surrender of the self via the mutilation of the intellect. Poch Suzara

Seeds of Atheism

Dear Raymond, The seeds of Atheism planted in the Philippines will be a full grown Tree of Knowledge 200 to 300 years from now. That is why, in this God-forsaken country of ours - I am doing my best to plant those seeds of atheism not tomorrow, not next week, not next month, but planting those atheistic seeds TODAY! Thanks for writing. Poch Suzara

More Than a BILLION Filipinos

More than a BILLION FILIPINOS already lived and died ever since Christianity conquered the Philippines in the 16th century. Who knows for certain how many already dead Filipinos made it to heaven; and, how many already dead Filipinos damned in hell. Not even our all-knowing theologians know for certain.

As an atheist, however, I am certain. I would like to point out to you religious morons of this 21st century Philippines, specially to Manny Amador,to please open your bible and read Ecc. 9:5 - "The dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward for the memory of them is forgotten." The Dignity of Atheism

I recently read an essay: ‘The Indignity of Atheism.” Obviously the
author, (Rabbi Avi Shafron) never properly read the bible or read
any of the works written by Bertrand Russell - mathematician Logician,
philosopher, Noel Prize winner, and a world famous atheist.

Here’s Bertrand Russell’s introductory remarks to his autobiography:

What I Have Lived For

Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my
ife: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable
pity for the suffering of mankind. These passions, like great winds,
have blown me hither and thither, in a wayward course, over a great
ocean of anguish, reaching to the very verge of despair.

I have sought love, first, because it brings ecstasy - ecstasy so
great that I would often have sacrificed all the rest of life for
a few hours of this joy. I have sought it, next, because it relieves
loneliness - that terrible loneliness in which one shivering
consciousness looks over the rim of the world into the cold
unfathomable lifeless abyss. I have sought it finally, because in
the union of love I have seen, in a mystic miniature, the prefiguring
vision of the heaven that saints and poets have imagined. This is what
I sought, and though it might seem too good for human life, this is
what - at last - I have found.

With equal passion I have sought knowledge. I have wished to
understand the hearts of men. I have wished to know why the stars
shine. And I have tried to apprehend the Pythagorean power by which
number holds sway above the flux. A little of this, but not much, I
have achieved.

Love and knowledge, so far as they were possible, led upward toward
the heavens. But always pity brought me back to earth. Echoes of cries
of pain reverberate in my heart. Children in famine, victims tortured
by oppressors, helpless old people a burden to their sons, and the
whole world of loneliness, poverty, and pain make a mockery of what
human life should be. I long to alleviate this evil, but I cannot,
and I too suffer.

This has been my life. I have found it worth living, and would gladly
live it again if the chance were offered me. Poch Suzara

A Lot of Difference

There is a lot of difference between fucking and thinking. I wish more people would stop fucking around and show me instead some real, honest-to-goodness, fearless thinking.

By the way, you religious morons should stop that "God bless you" business. Have you really met any one now dead, already buried, and rotting in a cemetery who was ever blessed by God while he or she was still alive perpetually happy and eternally healthy? Poch Suzara

No Way Jose

I am told that in my writings I should try to avoid using words like
“religious morons.” That I should, instead, be polite, and refer to
same as the “religious adherents.” I say no way Jose!

Those who had our own hero - Jose Rizal - arrested, jailed, and executed
more than a hundred years ago were not the religious adherents. They were
the religious morons in their day – the Catholic Spanish friars. They were
out to establish and to promote not common Filipino decency in our land,
but to protect and to defend a highly profitable big business otherwise more
known as Catholicism in the Philippines.

Ever since then, since there were no more heroes in the likes of a
Jose Rizal, in this already 21st century, the Catholic church has become
the richest and most powerful corporation existing in the Philippines.
For one thing, the Catholic church has a monopoly on the population growth
so that recruits for church membership are ever increasing; never decreasing.
The majority of impoverished Filipinos are its client/members, especially
in buying forgiveness of sin from God through the power of prayer. Indeed,
Filipinos have been taught to believe and to have faith in God who will
always forgive and who will always provide. If not here in our country,
in other foreign countries, or better yet, later, in heaven, after death.
I say it again - fuck that shit! Poch Suzara

Let There Be Light

God said: “Let there be light” and there was light. Unfortunately, God never meant it to be light for the purpose of illuminating the minds of men and brightening the hearts of women.

Imagine God instead declaring “let there be love, beauty, knowledge, and the joy of life, so that the human race can bring forth more light into this world of darkness.”

If this were the case, no Filipino need be blind Christians today still stuck living in fear, misery, and in poverty for God’s glory in heaven. Indeed, in this already 21st century, we Filipinos are still stuck with religious lies and biblical deceptions rather than already enjoying at large decent results of a decent
education that promotes a decent nation.

We still totally reject what our own Jose Rizal said: "I would like the Filipino people to become worthy, noble, and honorable." Indeed, what we have been taught to accept in our schools, colleges, and universities is to be sinners, not saints.

As the Sick Man of Asia, indeed, as devout Christians, we Filipinos would rather continue to accept and obey faithfully what Jesus Christ, two thousand years ago, said: "If any man come to me and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple." History of free Thought

As a freethinker myself, I am, naturally, interested
in the history of free thought. I am, however, far more
interested to contribute rather than just distribute to
others the history of free thought. That is why, rightly
or wrongly, I’d rather think for myself rather than just
allow other great thinkers to think for me. Thus, my
Thoughts to Provoke Your Thoughts Blog.

Bertrand Russell, one of the greatest thinkers this
world has ever produced nevertheless inspired in me as
his student to think always for myself. Russell never
discouraged me to question everything including his own
stand on a great many issues. After some seventy years
of devotion in the search of the truth, Russell was honest
enough to admit his failure in finding the truth. He
concluded: “All human knowledge is uncertain, inexact,
and partial.”

As a free thinker, I love, worship, and adore Bertrand
Russell. He declared, and rightly so: “Nobody’s perfect,
and we should never be bothered by the fact that we are
not.” Poch Suzara

Atheism and Theism - the Difference

We atheists are more at home, happy and comfortable with hard thinking,
hard doubting, hard reading, hard questioning, hard discovering, and
hard writing.

You theists are more at home with easy praying, easy believing, easy
kneeling, easy parroting, easy typing, easy copying, and easy pasting.

In the meantime, it is a terrible thing to waste the power of the human
mind.

Shame on all of you timid believers in blind faith! Poch Suzara

Evolution

If humans evolved from apes, how come humans aren't evolving from apes anymore? What a stupid question.

The more intelligent question to ask: If there is really such a thing as the creator of the universe, and if apes were really such horrible looking creatures as compared to humans, why would God bother to create apes to begin with?

For my part, I have great respect and admiration for the apes. All apes are atheistic. None of them are Christians, or Jews, or Muslims.

Apes do not bother with stupid faith to hate and kill other apes down here for the love of a God up there! Poch Suzara

The Majority of Filipinos

The majority of Filipinos love and respect Jesus Christ, a non-thinking Jew. They do not love nor respect our national hero Jose Rizal, a great and a rare thinking Filipino. The reason for this national tragedy is only because we are all born ignorant, not stupid. We are made stupid right here at home in our schools, colleges, and universities mostly owned, managed, and controlled by the business of an organized religion more known as Catholic church. Thus, the majority of Filipinos are not the master, but the victims of education. For Christ’s sake, even the teachers in school and the professors in college are insured of their employment for as long as they continue to teach students WHAT to believe; never HOW to think. Thus, as a people, we are the frightened believers. we are not a nation of intelligent thinkers. Poch Suzara

women in need of Cathedrals

Cathedrals, like the Manila Cathedral, are monuments to human stupidity. Name me one cathedral anywhere built on this piece of dust called "earth" that has promoted family unity, social and political decency, not to mention women's rights for self-respect and dignity.

In the meantime, if it is true that God already exists here and there and everywhere - why in hell would God need cathedrals for his glory in heaven to enhance not human civilization on this earth, but to promote himself as a supernatural being so engrossed in self-admiration as he hopes to prove that he is, eternally, a cold-blooded perfection? Religion in the Philippines

The Catholic and Iglesia Ni Cristo are the dominant evils in the Philippines. There is also, however, El Shaddai, Jesus is Lord Movement, Dating Daan, Opus Dei, Presbyterian, Methodist, Anglican, Unitarian, Baptist, United Church of God, istian Churches of God, Christ’s Commission Fellowship, Born-Again, Metropolitan Community Church, Most Holy churches of God, New Apostolic, Aglipay religion – all Christians; not to mention the non-Christian religion in the minority – Muslim, Buddhists, Hinduists, Animists, Taoist, and the Nichiren Daishonin teachings, etc. It is truly tragic that religion has been based not upon human intelligence, but based on fear of a divine malevolence. Otherwise, if religion were always creative, constructive, and the spread of benevolence, the Philippines, once known as the "Pearl of the Orient" before Christianity arrived to conquer and to dominate her, need not be famous today as the "Payatas of the Orient." Thanks, however, to our system of education, religion, or better said – superstition - holds a central place in the hearts and minds of the majority of Filipinos. It is, in this way, that we can even take pride of the fact that our non-Christian Asian neighbors are able to hire our blessed by God college educated men and women to be employed as their blessed by God “servants.” Meanwhile, back home, have we ever heard of a Filipino who got to be filthy rich for believing that God is BAD. And yet, millions upon millions of Filipinos are poor despite the fact that they all have been educated to believe that God is GOOD. In this already 21st century, for the glory of divinity, we continue to believe that "freedom of religion" is good. On the contrary, as a matter of historical fact, what shows to be much more sane is the "freedom from religion." Matured and progressive other Asian nations are irreligious, not religious. Scientific, not ecclesiastic. Atheistic, not theistic. It is, indeed, incredible to realize that our Asian neighbors do not have faith in Jesus who preached that we must take no thought for tomorrow because there is a better world to come after death. What we Filipinos always see and feel around us is that God is deeply involved in our birth, education, marriage, population growth, politics, culture, history, and death; not to mention also involved with our government officials, military leaders, businessmen, traders, and farmers. Sadly, however, this God is not a Filipino God, but a Jewish God. It is truly amazing how we Filipinos continue to tolerate the poverty of ideas that compel us to submit, in this modern day and age, to the uselessness of prayer rally and to the recklessness of ancient, if not obsolete, - theology. Thus, what we continue to cherish in our poor and backward country is not human evolution under a growing civilization, but to wait only for the miracles from God as promised by divine revelation. Nothing is precious in the life of a Filipino except the very best that his talents and abilities can achieve for his family, his country, and for fellow-citizens. Especially in the here and now. After all, there is no such thing as the "hereafter" since, for any of us, there never was any such thing as the "herebefore." In the meantime, by and large, our schools, colleges, and universities continue to teach how to ignore nation-wide mutual destruction. We have yet, however, to learn how to attend to the more desirable scientific technique of nation-wide cooperation and general affection for the sake of national restoration via transformation. I ask: where is science, the beauty of the scientific way of thinking, and the efficiency of technology to generate our spiritual growth as a people so that as Filipinos, we can generate our material development as a nation? It is time for our system of education to change radically. Precisely to produce more brave leaders and courageous thinkers. No longer to produce believers and followers having more fun in the temptation for holy corruption. Otherwise, in the centuries to come, we Filipinos will just continue to be blessed by God as a poo people and a blessed by God as a backward nation. Poch Suzara

A Pinay Friend

A Pinay friend told me that she enjoyed her love life with her past

she admits that she enjoys her love life pretty much more. It is not
because foreigners are more seductive or attractive or attentive.
It is because the business arrangement is for her simply much more
lucrative.

Well, I said: What a poor sap of a boyfriend she has left behind in

It is Truly Ironical

It is truly ironical that the God still pretty much involved in our

also much involved with our corrupt government officials, military

a Jewish God. Poch Suzara

Filipino Children

The majority of Filipino children in grade school are taught to believe not only in the unknown, but specially to have faith in anything not worth knowing. By the time they are in high school and in college, with their intelligence already pretty much twisted and distorted, they are no longer capable of learning what is knowable especially common sense. Such as love of life, country, and love of fellow citizens. On the contrary, taught to love only God up there who will always provide for all of us down here. To believe further that there is a better world to come after death. Never mind this world after birth. This is a world of people, nature, and the flesh that's low and depraved and unworthy of reconstruction. Indeed, that this world is merely a stopover on our journey to the next better world. Therefore the less attention placed on it and more attention placed on God's kingdom, the better for the salvation of our souls. Consider the plight of most of our college educated men and women. They are prepared, ready, and willing to live and to work in foreign countries that enjoy a higher standard of living and blessed with the power of down-to-earth thinking. In the meantime, we Filipinos are also getting more famous as the "Servants of the World." Thus, in our own country, we are all born ignorant, not stupid. We are made stupid by education. If Only Our Women

If only our women as products of our schools, colleges, and universities were seriously taught to pursue higher status in life other than just to fuck, get pregnant, propagate, and to replenish the Philippines with more babies for the glory of God in heaven. There would be more economic prosperity and less poverty in our already sick society. To think that the worst kind of poverty is the poverty of the mind and heart. To think further that human life is nothing but a sexually transmitted disease with a mortality rate of 100 per cent. In the meantime, overpopulation simply means that the number of people in a given society has already surpassed the economic basis for providing them with adequate food, housing, health and sanitation materials, educational facilities, and indeed, creative or harmless leisure. It is incredible how we all are recklessly blind to notice overpopulation is causing a fantastic rise in malnutrition and illiteracy. It seems even more incredible how millions of Filipinos in this already 21st century are still blessed by God to be frightened to believe and indeed to just wait for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ to remedy the ills of our sick society. The Holy Baloney Bible

If you have never read the bible, it is surely holy. If, however, you have properly and seriously read bible contents, it is surely full of holy baloney.

Indeed, the bible as written by inspired authors of an All-knowing God, did not even know that the earth is round, not flat; and that it rotates on its own axis daily; and orbits around the sun yearly.

In the bible, Joshua commanded the sun to stop so that he could, under more light, easily kill more of God's enemies. Now isn't that a lot of holy baloney? Poch Suzara

According to www.reasons.org

According to The mission of Reasons: To Believe is to show that science
and faith are, and always will be, allies, not enemies.

The basic trouble with this claim is that before science and
Faith can be allies, and not enemies, is that faith must first be
friendly with other faiths before they can seek the friendship
of science.

Consider the Christian faith, the Muslim faith, and the
faith of the Jews. They are all unfriendly to each other. In fact, they
are ready and willing to cut each other’s throats because, to begin with,
they cannot agree as to what will happen to them after their throats
have been cut.

Faith and science are allies, not enemies? No kidding? How come in any
of the religious books – in the bible, or in the Quran, and in the
Talmud – there is nothing there mentioned about the beauty and the
wonders of science? Poch Suzara

This World, Our World

Albert Einstein wrote: “The most incomprehensible thing about the world is that it is comprehensible.”

What, however, is truly comprehensible about our world is that it is pointless, if not meaningless, not to mention utterly directionless.

The most we can do is to make the most, creatively, out of this short and brief life. After all, even the bible admits that “the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward for the memory of them is forgotten.” Ecc. 9:5

For my personal part, as a man well-established as a loner, I try consistently to make sense of my life by cultivating a rather self-conscious sensitivity to the troubles of others in love with life or devoid of it. Poch Suzara

Only in the Philippines

After years of service, Public Servants in the Philippine government usually end up rich, if not famous. If, however, public servants in the government have only turned out to be good, specially good for nothing - their friends and relatives and admirers will, nevertheless, start a movement to get them canonized to be saints of God.

The God in foreign countries is dead or dying. The God of the Filipinos, however, is still alive and kicking; especially as Filipinos are forever praying for evil against one another.

In the meantime, we Filipinos have yet to learn how raise our children to always stand up for humanity, and no longer kneeling down with silly social and political values to please nothing but a silly divinity. Poch Suzara

Who do we First Obey

Who do we first obey and follow - God, the Father, or, God the Son?
Here are the words from God, the Son: “Thou shalt love thy neighbor

Now here are the words from God, the Father:
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the

If Atheism were a Religion

If atheism were a religion, how come we have never heard of atheists hating and killing other atheists for not believing in the existence of God? In the meantime, the theists - the Christians, Jews, and the Muslims have not ceased hating and killing each other for the glory of their respective God in heaven or in paradise! Really, if Atheism were a religion, we might as well also admit that God is an Atheist. Well, considering that God does not believe in the existence of other Gods – that makes God an Atheist. Well, to me, as a die-hard atheist, I do not give two hoots even if God does not believe in the existence of other Gods! We atheists recognize things greater than ourselves – our family, our country, and the whole of humanity. Inside our minds and hearts there is no room for a silly divinity to exist. Poch Suzara

Time and the death of Love

Time is needed to earn money in order to support wife and children. By the time you become rich and famous, however, the question arises: you have become rich for what and famous to whom?

Consider your wife and your children – they hardly know you; neither have a healthy relationship with you as you were daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly too busy in the deadly competition to be a financial success in life., specially to be a successful idiot to get your family derailed.

Western Civilization

It is claimed by Christians that Christianity built Western civilization. If this were true, how come the rich white Americans lived comfortably on black slave labor in America for a great many years? How come the poorest, most backward, nevertheless only Christian country in Asia – the Philippines - never got to be a prominent part of Western civilization? More to the point: if the Christianity built Western civilization, how come the Filipinos in this already 21st century have not learned to grasp the values of forethought and the power of knowledge; still have not learned what it means to love one’s country, what it means to love fellow-citizens, and indeed, how to enjoy a refined heart to love and a developed mind to respect - one another? If we were such as civilized Western nation and, as the only Christian country in Asia – how come the Christian authority got one of the greatest – the most noblest of Filipinos – a thinker and a humanist – Jose Rizal – arrested, incarcerated, and the publicly executed? In fact, thanks to the teachings of Christianity the majority of Filipinos do not know what exactly Jose Rizal stood and died for in his own land under the rule and authority of Christian power and supremacy. In the meantime, Christian terrorism had been behind the Crusades, the Inquisitions, and the mass killings of “witches” and heretics. Many of these heretics were only guilty of expressing ideas then that are now commonly accepted as the science of social reform. With the threat of heresy, Christianity effectively set back humankind's scientific and social advancement by hundreds of years. Christianity is also at the root of most of today's international problems. Just imagine how much more peaceful the world would be without belief in one God or one Son of God causing so much strife, hate and war. In the ultimate analysis, however, if Christianity build Western civilization, how come the teachings of Jesus Christ played an important part in the division between Catholics and Protestants that historically torn apart the Western world, still divides Northern Ireland, and indeed, has kept the Philippines left behind in the race for growth and development as a civilized nation of Asia?

The Failure of Most Marriages

Most marriages fail miserably because to begin with most men only want to fuck and to fuck women. They do not care to raise children which is what marriage is all about. That is why, for the sake of not bringing unhappy children into our already insane world, the prevention of unwanted pregnancy education is a must while men and women enjoy fucking each other. To think that 3 babies are born every minute of the day and night in this poor and backward country. That is about 1.5 million babies each and every year added to the population growth of the Philippines. Most of these babies are the result of an unhappy or failed marriages, if not out of wedlock. Their fathers have been taught to believe and to have faith in God who will provide - if not this world, in the next world to come after death. Poch Suzara

The Tooth Matters

According to the Department of Health, 98 per cent of the Philippine population suffer from tooth decaying, molars rotting, and gums bleeding.

Simple Change

I want simple change in the Filipino to begin to enjoy health and wealth as a people. I also want simple change in the Philippines to begin to enjoy prosperity and maturity as a nation. In order to accomplish the change desperately needed for our historical sanity – we must only begin to love our country and love fellow citizens. We can accomplish the task by throwing out the evils making for our sick society under deadly Christianity. Indeed, Christian beliefs and so-called values are still playing destructive parts in keeping the Filipino still poor spiritually as a people and keeping the Philippines still backward morally as a nation. In the ultimate analysis, ours is the failure of education under the success of Christianity in the Philippines.

Let us now begin to seriously look at the wonders of science and the scientific way of thinking . Why other Asian nations are enjoying a much higher standard of living and more creative and productive at working. Thanks to the wonders of science and the scientific way of thinking.

EVOLUTION – fact or fiction

Here’s Bishop John Shelby Spong – a rare Christian leader much too difficult not to love and to respect. Indeed, I have the greatest admiration for this Anglican church Bishop. In his WHY CHRISTIANITY MUST CHANGE OR DIE, he wrote: In 1859 Darwin’s masterpiece, entitled THE ORIGIN OF THE SPECIES, was published. That book caused most of the remaining principles by which human life was understood in religious terms to go up in smoke. Darwin suggested, for example, that the world of God’s creation was not yet finished, directly contradicting the literal biblical text. The world, he said, was still evolving, still being created... In the books of Psalms, it had been suggested that human beings were just a little lower than the angels. But now we began to recognize that we were just a little higher than the animals. . . There was much talk in that era about something called the “missing link,” as if the various species of life were separated by a single link rather than by centuries of tiny adaptations. . .”Dust art thou and to dust thou shalt return” became not just a Lenten note of penitence, but a statement of this newly understood reality of human life. . . That strange thing called “creation science” is nothing more than the ignorant rantings reflecting a frightened and dying religious mentality.” For my part, if Christianity were comprised of men in the likes of Bishop John Shelby Spong – never would I have ever dreamed of excommunicating myself out of the religious mess. Charles Darwin

Psuedo-scientist Perry Marshall tells us that Charles Darwin was brilliantly half right and tragically half wrong. Indeed, that Darwin never knew of the existence of the living cell created by God as part of his grand design of nature. That no one can deny that our complex universe is an astounding, majestic marvel. But how did it get here? Where did it come from? Does it really matter? Can it be, as so many contend, that all just happened by some fortuitous cosmic accident? Or did it come about as the result of the careful design of an infinite God?

Listen, however, to the findings of one of the greatest men in the world of science – Carl Sagan. In his COSMOS, he wrote:

“We have five fingers because we have descended from a Devonian fish that had five phalanges or bones in its fins. Had we descended from a fish with four or six phalanges, we would have four or six fingers on each hand and would think them perfectly natural. We use base ten arithmetic only because we have ten fingers on our hands. Had the arrangement been otherwise, we would use based eight or base twelve arithmetic and relegate base ten to the New math.”

Sounds fantastic, doesn’t it? Well, in the meantime, listen to Bertrand Russell. On the values of the scientific way of thinking Russell wrote:: “Science is at no moment quite right but it is seldom quite wrong, and has, as a rule, a better chance of being right than the theories of the unscientific.” Indeed, “what science cannot know, mankind cannot know.” Poch Suzara

Believe It or NOT

“The Vatican held a meeting of scientists from around the world in November 2009 to discuss the possibility of extraterrestrial life.” Philippine Star 2/16/2010.

What an admission of universal stupidity. Obviously, even the theologians of the Vatican have no knowledge whatsoever whether there is extraterrestrial life existing in Heaven, in Hell, or in Purgatory. Poch Suzara

Stupid Academic Messages

Here are the stupid academic messages conveyed to the millions of our youth daily in grade school, high school, and in college in the Philippines: “There is a better world to come after this life’s termination; and, in the meantime, a better foreign country to migrate to, live and to enjoy full employment after college graduation.”

In the meantime, the Filipino is getting spiritually poorer as a people, and the Philippines getting left behind - backward as a nation bereft of any sense of direction. Poch Suzara

What's Wrong with Us Americans

What's wrong with us Americans? In this already 21st century, the majority of us still believe in a lot of superstitious lies and religious deceptions. The historical evils can best be summarized in few simple words: GOD BLESS AMERICA - the land of the free and the home of the brave! In the meantime, we are a nation of criminals. Life in general is America is the competition to be the criminal like Donald Trump or be like Tom, Dick, and Harry - the impoverished victims of the filthy-rich criminals. Poch Suzara

God as Designer

Perry Marshall claims that he can prove God exists and that he can demonstrate living things have a creator. May I remind Perry Marshall that aside from proving that living things have a creator, he must also prove that such a creator has been a benevolent deity. Well, if we admit the existence of desirable aspects in nature as products of design, we must also admit the undesirable aspects in nature as products of design. Which, in the ultimate analysis, puts Perry Marshal in a ticklish situation. How can he justify a creator who purposely inflicts natural disasters upon man? The master designer could very well be not a kind or a loving God but a supernatural Monster, a malevolent Fiend, or an Almighty Nerd. Poch Suzara

For Perry Marshall

The religious clowns have to gall to tell us atheists that we have yet to learn that God is a spirit and cannot be found through the telescope or microscope, no more than human thought or emotion can be found by analyzing the brain. That, as everyone knows, religion is based NOT on knowledge, but on faith.

At the same time, however, devoid of knowledge, these religious clowns can offer to us atheists a generous assortment of attributes about God from which to choose. According to these source, God is “almighty, eternal, holy, immortal, immense, immutable, ineffable, infinite, invisible, just, loving, merciful, most high, most wise, omnipotent, omniscient, patient, perfect, provident, supreme, true, and indeed, “incomprehensible.”

Well, if religion were based Not on knowledge, but on faith - how do the religious clowns know that an “incomprehensible” God out there designed and created us humans in his own image and likeness down here on this speck of dust called “earth” aimlessly floating in space heading for no where? Poch Suzara

A Little Learning

A little learning is a dangerous thing. Lots of ignorance, however, is not only dangerous. It is disastrous.

Look for example what a little learning has done to this poor religious minister (Perry Marshall) pretending to be a scientist. He claims that he has discovered a new theory of evolution. He says “I only desire to demonstrate that living things have a creator.”

Well, what has a creator anything to do with evolution? Unless, of course, what we want to discover is not more about evolution but a new theory of revelation!

In the meantime, as Carl Sagan asked: “What does seventy million years mean to beings who live only one-millionth as long? We are like butterflies who flutter for a day and think it is forever.”

We Humans have a demonstrated talent for self-deception when our emotions are stirred, and there are few notions more stirring than the belief that there must be a loving God out there somewhere in the universe who created us in his own image and likeness down here on this speck of dust. Poch Suzara

Messages from the Mind

“Messages, languages and coded information never, ever come from anything else besides a mind. No one has ever produced a single example of a message that did not come from a mind.” So says Perry Marshall. Granted.

But the real issue is: how come messages that come only from the mind are not only confusing or meaningless sometimes, but also utterly thoughtless at most times?

Consider what the mind knows is so puny and insignificant as compared to what the mind has yet to discover and to really know not this or know that, but in fact to know exactly what “knowing” means! Poch Suzara

Perry Marshall

Perry Marshal recently wrote to me and said: “If you can read this sentence, I can prove God exists.” “That’s right,” he continues, “I only desire to demonstrate that living things have a creator.”

Well, Perry Marshall has yet to prove not only that God exists but to prove something even more important: - that God as a supernatural being is also a supernatural reader who fully understands that those who refuse to read materials they cannot agree with are no better off than those who can’t read at all. The Power of Stupid Prayer

If God answers our prayers to cure cancer of our mother or father, how come cancer is still a disease that afflicts our sons and daughters and will continue to trouble even the life of our grandchildren? Indeed, if prayers were true and reliable all of us would stay young, healthy, attractive, learned, sane, kind, loving, intelligent, and rich in spirit. But we live in a sick, rotten, and corrupt world due to, if not because of - our faith in the power of sick prayer. Poch Suzara

Babies

If babies were designed by a creator, how come babies carry no information or have any kind of knowledge whatsoever about the existence of their creator?

So, each of the trillion cells that makes human body carry information about how to make a duplicate copy of ourselves. But then again – so what and why bother? When the original human body itself is so stricken with defects and shortcomings and it only last for a few seconds in time in terms of a million years on this earth that, according to science is already some 4.5 billion years old. Poch Suzara

Science Versus Theology

Here are the two most fundamental questions in science: If evolution happens, how does it happen? And where did the information in DNA come from? Whatever the case may be, we must only wait for science to find the right answer. Forget theology. The theologians do not even know why babies are born ignorant, not stupid. Babies are eventually frightened to become stupid with the teachings of having faith not only in the unknowable, but also to have faith in the not worth knowing. Poch Suzara

Atheism For Filipinos

Atheism is not a belief. It is the absence of belief. An atheist is not primarily a person who believes that a god does not exist; rather he does not believe in the existence of a god. “Theism” and “atheism” are descriptive terms. They specify the presence or absence of a belief in god. If a person is designated as a theist, this tells us that he believes in a god, not why he believes. If a person is designated as an atheist, this tells us that he does not believe in a god, not why he does not believe. In this context, theism and atheism exhaust all possible alternatives with regard to the belief in a god: one is either a theist or an atheist; there is no other choice. One either accepts the proposition “god exist” as true, or one does not. One either believes in a supernatural being, or does not. There is no third or middle ground. Forget agnosticism. The agnostics are spineless cowards who have lost the courage to make a decision about matters of great importance on this earth. In the meantime, to declare that Atheism is a religion is ridiculous. There are no messiahs in Atheism. There are only heroes and heroines who work steadily and often quietly over many years to make those changes in our culture which will enlighten future generations. In the world of atheism, we atheists are all leaders. We are not followers, We Filipino atheists fully understand that the reward of a good life comes to everyone who invests in the future collective well-being of all Filipinos. We Filipino atheists may be as negative as Columbus. We may be as rebellious as Jose Rizal who questioned Catholic authority in the Philippines. We are interested in the here and now, not in the fantasy of a later life to come after death. We see religion – theism – as simply irrelevant to human life. We Filipino atheists understand that we are all part of human life in our country and that we must look after its interests as well as our own, to enjoy together that pursuit of happiness as defined in human civilization. Oh yes, we are few in number. But we care. We are involved as we continue to evolve. We care desperately that our children and grandchildren shall enjoy not the freedom of religion, but precisely enjoy the freedom from religion. It does not matter that we Filipino atheists stand alone; what matters is that we stand. Atheism is a basic posit of life, reason is the only guide, understanding is the only requirement; where education and science are the primary instruments toward a fulfilled life for all Filipinos and where, finally, the Filipino mind becomes totally free. Poch Suzara

Religion and Superstition

Religion destroys the mind. Superstition also destroys the mind. But superstition and religion are one and the same fear under ignorance. So what is the use of having faith in one at the expense of the other? Poch Suzara

The Beauty of Atheism versusThe Evil Monster

Before the Filipino can seriously grow as a people and seriously develop as a nation – an evil monster must first be destroyed. The evil monster otherwise more known as Christianity in the Philippines If, over the next 400 years, Christianity continues to dominate the Filipino mind and control the Filipino heart – we shall only be enjoying nothing but more of the same love of God up there by hating one another down here. Indeed, under these conditions, we shall only look forward to a better future for ourselves as citizens of the Republic of the Philippines by migrating to, residing at, and getting employed in, - foreign countries. Indeed, foreign countries that are blessed not only with freedom OF religion, but freedom FROM religion. Thanks to the power of science and technology. I said it before, I say it again. In this already 21st century, it is time for us Filipinos to dump our faith in theism and instead begin to embrace atheism. Take a serious look at the sensibility and the beauty of Atheism: Atheism helps us to see reality as it actually is, without the mental filters of superstition preventing us from directly experiencing it. Atheism allows us to experience our selves, without the debasing idea that we are innately evil or sinful. Atheism allows us to experience true interpersonal love, without any imaginary supernatural intervention. Atheism gives us the freedom to think for ourselves, to construct our own meanings. We each can choose what we think has value. Atheism shows us that we can gain meaning by seeking to make our world a better place, for ourselves and our children's children. Atheism teaches us to take responsibility for our behaviors in the here and now, not for a reward in an imaginary afterlife. Atheism lets us see that we have to make choices about our future. No big daddy god is going to protect us from bad decisions. Atheism teaches us to treasure this moment, this life, and this world — because we realize that it’s all the world we have. Poch Suzara

Atheists Do Not Cut Throats

“There are no atheists in foxholes” speaks well of the atheists; not of foxholes. Foxholes are places where the religious believers position themselves in order to cut each others' throat. They do so because they cannot agree as what will happen to them after their throats have been cut.

In the meantime, my dear reader, have you ever heard of an army of atheists hating and killing another army of atheists because they do not believe in the existence God?

Meanwhile, have any of you ever heard of religious atheists like a bunch of religious morons singing: THIS LAND IS MINE, GOD GAVE THIS LAND TO ME! Poch Suzara

Religion Poisons

Religion does not enhance life. On the contrary, religion poisons life. Christianity has kept the Filipino as the Sick Children of Asia. Indeed, Filipinos praying to God is as similar as sick children praying to Santa Claus.

In the meantime, millions of Filipinos are willing and ready to go to heaven. Specially after they have been schooled to get out to live and work in foreign countries. Poch Suzara

Christianity Exists Everywhere in our Sick Society

Christianity, just like God, exists here, there, and everywhere in the Philippines. It is demonstrated in our custom and tradition, indeed in our culture, damaged as it is already. Christianity is in the home. In the schools, colleges, and universities. In the theaters, and radio and television, in newspapers, in books, magazines, and journals. Christianity intrudes into our judicial, executive, and legislative branch of government. In the social functions and other civic organizations. In the business meetings, political campaigns, commercial seminars. Christianity is there in prayer before mealtime. In sports contests. The music of the day is contaminated with Christian messages. From all sides it moves in on us, endlessly. Ceaselessly. It is not possible to go through a day of one’s life without being exposed to Christianity. In the office, banks, hospitals, police precincts, city hall, residential buildings, hotels, motels, streets, highways, and in billboards, and public transportation system. In any important event of one’s life Christianity is standing by ready to take over the event: birthday party, college graduation, marriage, anniversary, death. In fact Jesus Christ demands that Christianity be pushed here, there, and everywhere. Matthew 28:19 “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, son, and of the Holy Ghost: 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.” It is all about behavioral control of the Filipinos. To have more faith in the success of indoctrination that brings about not the Age of Reason or the Age of Enlightenment, but simply the Age of Christianity that gives the Filipinos the power to act as its own destroyer both as a people and as nation. We are not, by any measure, the intelligent masters; on the contrary, as a matter of history, we are the sick victims of organized insanity otherwise more known in our country as Christianity. Indeed, Christianity has developed insufficiency, incompetence, and diminished self-reliance of, with, and for the Filipino way of life as a people since 400 years ago. Otherwise, one would think that as the only Christian country in Asia since the 16th century, the Philippines should already be the most matured and developed country in Asia. After all, we Filipinos are the only people in Asia who believe in Jesus – the Son of God Almighty. But with more than 20,000,000 Filipinos today employed in some 200 foreign including non-Christian countries to financially assist the other 20,000,000 Filipinos left behind unemployed or underemployed, including those supporting our corrupt government officials – in the whole of Asia today, thanks to the wealth and power of Christianity, we are only getting more sick as the Sick Children of Asia. The essence of Christianity is its intolerance. The first commandment of the Christian god is: “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” Christians cannot live with other ideas. They are forced to convert all persons to their belief system because that person, who is outside, illustrates that God has failed to bring at least one person to his flock. Therefore he is not all-seeing, all-knowing, all-understanding, all-benevolent, all-powerful god. If he were that, he could induce all to “come unto him” and feel the “glad tidings of great joys.” It is impossible for those of you who are caught in that trap to understand that others have no need of faith in such beliefs systems and do not live in mental prisons or spiritual cages. Therefore you scream out to us atheists that our position is one of religion too, that we have a belief system as you do. What you are trying to do is, by definition, include us in your insanity. You define the positions and attitudes, opinions and ideas that we have as “a religion” because your thinking is so structured that it is impossible for you to understand the concept of a “free mind.” Indeed, you can only believe in the freedom of religion, when there is something better and greater to believe - the freedom away from religion. Atheism has none of the attributes of a religion. We have no god above or beyond nature, no breach of natural laws by such a god to demonstrate that he exists, no method of communication between such entity and ourselves, no elaborate reward and punishment system such as heaven or hell for being in accord with that god’s dictates. There is not one element needed for religion existing anywhere in Atheism. We have no atheistic morons known as atheist saints. Therefore, you charge that our religion is the worship of “nothing.” But, in fact, this is what the Christians do: worship nothing. An unseen, unknown, uncaring, indifferent entity which you call god is supplicated by you daily with no response. Nothing is there – but you worship it. Nothing hears you – but you address communication to it. Nothing responds – but you hear some messages in the void. Nothing ever happens – but you rationalize that “something” occurs somewhere, perhaps in one’s heart. It is an incredible game that you play like a bunch of lost children looking for a happy home. In the meantime, not the truth, but evil goes marching on! We atheists insist only that you do not include us in your credulity game. We have neither the taste nor the gumption to live with you in your world of make-believe. We atheists are real people who live in a real world which we trust will be a better world in the future than all the rotten religions have made of it during these past centuries. Poch Suzara

Poverty

Poverty in this 21st century Philippines is still due to collective insanity especially since the arrival of Christianity in the 16th century. There is, indeed, the existence of poverty of the worst kind: the poverty of the mind and heart. It deprives our nation’s historical, cultural, and scientific growth and development. In the meantime, here's how poor the average Filipino is: His only sense of wealth is not health; but to be seen driving around in an imported expensive automobile with a sexy Pinay seated beside him. He is living in an expensive mansion which he bought from filthy rich criminal. His organizing prayer rallies to save the lives of fellow-criminals scheduled to be executed for high crimes in foreign countries. The last, but not least his having acquired a college diploma ostensibly displayed in his living room wall or in his office. Poch Suzara

Children in School

It is not through pain and suffering or by illusions or delusions that children in school learn how to be good, creative, and productive citizens.. It is with a sense of self-respect, self- direction, and, indeed, with nutrition and sanitation. In the meantime, we cannot love others unless we love ourselves first. Sadly, in our school, colleges, and universities, we are taught to love Jesus, Mary, Joseph and other bible characters, but hardly to learn how to love our selves with a sense of pride and dignity as citizens of our country.

Freedom of the Press

There is no such thing as freedom of the press unless you own press. If you were the owner of the press, you can certainly enjoy the freedom of the press. In the meantime, our democracy encourages mediocrity, and fosters vulgarity. Indeed, under our so-called democracy, we Filipinos enjoy not only the power of ferocity, not only the glory of insanity, but also the blessings from the Catholic church and its authority as they are the real owners of the press in our poor and sick country. Jesus cast out demons

Jesus never sent any one to do the work of God without giving them the authority to cast out demons. Jesus called His twelve disciples to Him; He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease. (Matt 10:1) Jesus said, ‘And as you go, preach, saying, The Kingdom of heaven is at hand...cast out demons... (Matt 10:7,8) Jesus said, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth’ (Matt 28:18)

Well, what happened? How come the apostles never managed to destroy the unclean spirits? The devil is still pretty much alive and kicking. All kinds of sickness and diseases are still with us. Not to mention the sick clowns identifying themselves as God’s messengers and/or God’s delivery boys in the Philippines in this already 21st century. Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

Free Will

We are told that God’s greatest gift to man is his free will. Indeed, we have the free will to obey God’s will. We are not free, however, to practice the virtues of free thought. Under God’s free will syndrome – the best of freedom can only be the freedom OF religion. On the contrary, under free thought – the most precious of freedom is the freedom FROM religion. Poch Suzara

Abortion - A woman's Priority

Abortion is a woman’s business. She is the one carrying the fetus inside her body. Abortion is neither the man’s business or the government’s business or the priestly business. It is, simply, the woman’s business.

For my part, as an atheist and a humanist, when it comes to the necessity of an abortion, I say, let the pregnant woman decide for herself. It is her decision. No one should decide for her.

In the meantime, if a fetus were already a human being, how come when there is a miscarriage there is no such thing as a funeral service or a Christian burial of
the dead fetus? Poch Suzara

We are a Nothing

We are told that we are nothing compared to God, our creator. Well, if God created us in his own image and likeness, then God must be made of nothing too. Now it is said that we have intelligence, and therefore there must be intelligence greater than ours. Well, why not say, that God has intelligence, therefore there must be intelligence greater than His? So far as we know, there is no intelligence apart from matter. We cannot conceive of thought, except as produced by the human brain. Ah yes, the human brain – a three pound mass of gray matter you can hold in your hands that can imagine the existence of a God who created us out of nothing. Poch Suzara

Why Something

Why something rather than nothing? But has not something always been an absurdity? A nothing makes more sense than a something. A nothing does not suffer pain, poverty, misery, death and indeed, a nothing could never be the stupid victim of a silly nothing.

For my part, before I was born, for millions of years, I was better off. I was not a something, in fact, I was, happily, a total void - a nothing!

God as Protector

There is no evidence that God protects the believers any more than he rejects the unbelievers . When the TITANIC sunk, those who perished were not solely the wicked sinners. There was no distinction in the terrible disaster. Both the believers and unbelievers were damned to face death together with the damned vessel that only God could sink.

Well, this is in modern times. What about during the ancient times. Look how God protected his first creation – Adam and Eve from the lies and deceptions of the Talking Serpent – the devil – another of God’s creation.

Anti-Christ Movement in Israel

The term anti-Christ refers to those who deny the divinity of Jesus Christ, deny His Gospel as truth, or deny Jesus and his teachings. Well, if that were so, it follows that there are many more anti-Christ individuals existing in Israel than anywhere else in the world. Israel, the land where Jesus was born during the 1st century, never got to be converted into a Christian or into a Catholic country. It is still a Jewish State. What could be more anti-Christ than that in this already 21st century? Poch Suzara

Catholic Caritas Manila

“I agree that it is quite difficult to preach on empty stomach. This is the reason why there is Caritas Manila, one of the largest charitable institutions in the Philippines. Not to mention, Hospicio de San Jose. Parishes are involved in livelihood programs to uplift the quality of life of every Filipino.” The Catholic church earns more than ONE BILLION PESOS each and every month from its sale of religious junk alone in the Philippines. Tax free. At the same time, however, we do have millions of faithful believers in this poor and backward country who are so proud that the Catholic Church has also established Caritas Manila – one of the largest charitable institutions in the world. Well, charity comes from profit. How come the church has so much profit in that she can afford to be in the charity business? More than 15,000,000 ( million ) Filipino workers just these last decade alone have already migrated to some 168 foreign countries around the world in order to enjoy a better way of life. I ask: just exactly how has the quality of life of every Filipino been uplifted by the Catholic Church in the Philippines? As for the Hospicio de San Jose and parishes involved in livelihood programs to uplift the quality of life of every Pinoy and Pinay, how come we, as a people, are only getting poorer as the “Sick and Poor Children of Asia?" Poch Suzara

Happy and Perfect Earth

If a Creator could create a happy and a perfect place called “heaven,” why couldn’t the same Creator create as well a happy and perfect planet “earth.”

Of course, the creator could not do so. He had no wish to disappoint his best and only friend – the devil in hell – the same devil who still sees to it that we Filipinos remain poor and miserable as ever specially as we are the only faithful Christians in all of Asia. Poch Suzara

No Life after Death in the Bible

The Bible likens death to a deep sleep. David said: “Answer me, O LORD my God. Do
make my eyes shine, that I may not fall asleep in death.” (Psalm 13:3)

Moreover, just before he resurrected Lazarus, Jesus likened death to sleep.—John 11:11-14. Which brings up another question, if Jesus best friend Lazarus was going to a better place why bring him back to life on earth?

In the meantime, at death, the cerebral function ceases; there is no more thought process, no more reward, no more memory, no more knowledge, and no more access to this world. Death terminates the individual’s interaction with this physical dimension of existence.

So, I ask: if there were no more life after death how do we enjoy life as a reward after death in heaven or suffer in life after death punished in hell?

“After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, ‘Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power to the Lord our God’ “ (Revelation 19:1).

I ask: who are you among the already dead have the extra ability to hear a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven? Poch Suzara
