According to St. Augustine: "Faith is the point of departure of knowledge." Now isn't that the same with human stupidity? Can faith and reason be mutually re-inforcing? Hardly. How can we have faith in the knowledge that man has one less rib in him because reason tells us that God created Eve by taking ONE rib off Adam's body?
