The Bible

“Study the bible to be wise; believe it to be safe; practice it to be holy.” Philippine Star Nov. 17, 2007.

If the bible was truly written by inspired authors of God and if God made any sense at all, no one would need to acquire a modicum of common sense to do what any sane man should do after studying, believing and practicing the bible: throw the silly book out the window. The bible is a good book; unfortunately, good for nothing. Look at the results of bible teachings in the Philippines – the only Christian country since the 16h century.

For my part, I wasted precious years of my youth studying, believing, and practicing such biblical childish nonsense. Poch Suzara

The Evil called Religion

Nobel Prize-wining American physicist Steven Weinberg said: “Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you’d have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, it takes religion.”

What is even more scandalous, however, are the people who invented good religion. They themselves have turned out to be good; unfortunately, good for nothing. Poch Suzara

From Adamson University

A college student in Adamson University proudly commented that it is ok for me not to believe in God since God believes in me. Well, I replied: I find it enigmatic that a God could also be in the childish business of believing or disbelieving anything! What happened to that more matured business of “knowing?”

“Believing” is the business of misguided children. “Knowing” is the business of intellectually courageous men and culturally secured grown-up women. Poch Suzara

Who is the greater Scholar

The one who studies the life and times of Jose Rizal; or, the one who studies the life and times of Rizal’s enemy – Christianity – the religion that put Rizal to death in the 19th century, and that continues to put to death the hearts and minds of hundreds of millions of innocent Filipinos to believe in a lot of religious hokum since the 16th century? Poch Suzara

Human Stupidity

Human stupidity is a lesser evil as it tries to outshine anything temporary. It is, however, the greatest of evil as it tries to outshine infinity. Poch Suzara

How to be a Decent Human Being

Take care of your body. Especially your brain. The best kind of wealth is health. There is more to life than just to be a stupid believer. One must never be afraid to be an intelligent thinker. To hell with your silly soul. It does not exist. There is no such thing as hell after death. There is no such thing as a better world to come after death. If there were, there never was any one who knew anything about it, or any one alive today who knows anything about it. Not even the charlatan at the Vatican who pretends to be the Vicar of the Christian Wotan. The whole idea about the meaning or the purpose of life is that we must only try to leave this world a better place than we found it. Otherwise, there is very little reason for any of us to have ever lived. Poch Suzara

Friends and Relatives

Friends and relatives keep wondering what in hell am I doing in this world needlessly creating enemies for myself as I am expounding, quite openly and consistently - the beauty and the power of free thought? Well, I said it before and I say it again: “If I do not take a stand to speak up, who will? And if not now, when? Poch Suzara

Christianity, Poverty, and Democracy

Poverty is to the poor what Insanity is to the rich. Combine the two evil forces together and they add up to the history of Christianity. In the Philippines it is called “The family that prays together stays together" - especially to foster our freedom as a people and to enhance our democracy as a nation.” Poch Suzara

Deadly Religion

“Every cause, “ wrote Paul Ehrlich, “is a lost cause unless there is population control.” With all due respect, I do not quite agree. The more people there are existing under subhuman conditions, indeed, the more misery and poverty that exist in the world, the more the cause of religion becomes a winning cause.

Christianity always had a vested interest in human suffering. Christianity had been quite a success by capitalizing on human suffering. She has been enormously successful in insuring her own existence through the perpetuation of human suffering via blind faith. Especially in the Philippines. The only Christian country in Asia since the 16th century. Poch Suzara

Jose Rizal

Rizal was arrested by the Christians, incarcerated by the Christians, executed by the Christians, and then his corpse put inside an old sack was thrown in Paco cemetery by the Christians. Indeed, Rizal was never given a Christian burial.
To believe that Rizal died as a Christian only makes Rizal what we Filipinos are today - the Sick Man of Asia - still devoted and faithful to Christian values and beliefs. Poch Suzara

Refuse to Think

When you refuse to think, someone else will determine thoughts for you. In the meantime, the church leaders have only to remind you that God gifted you with a free will so that you no longer have to think, especially for yourself. Poch Suzara

Madness

Madness comes as a way to avoid the memory of pain and suffering. Thanks to our mad system of education, we are all, each and every one of us, - victims not only of madness but also victims of education. Poch Suzara

Bible Inspiration

Bible inspiration usually depends upon the fear and the ignorance of those who do not bother to read properly the Word of God.

In the meantime, human happiness is hardly inspired in the bible. Man is destined to be free. Whether freedom will make him happy is an issue explained neither in the Old nor in the New Testament. What matters is God’s will. That God is a cold-blooded perfection quite lost in self-admiration. Poch Suzara

Theology

Theology has nothing to do with science or even with philosophy. Theology has nothing to do with what is true or false. In fact, theology is the study of nothing. Consider after all these past many centuries, the theologians still do not know what exactly they are talking about! In fact, they do not even know what “knowing” means. Poch Suzara

Religious Founders

The failure of organized religions is that all of them made a mockery of what their founders taught. And why not, since the founders of most religions have not been flexible thinkers, but only rigid, if not reckless, believers.

Consider the encouragement of false beliefs and to protect sacred lies by discouraging, if not prohibiting, honest discussion and free inquiry. The horror could only be the result of childish believing based upon fear and ignorance. Not due to intelligent matured thinking based upon the search of the truth. Poch Suzara

Organized Religions

Combine organized mediocrity, organized hypocrisy, and organized dishonesty, not to mention organized gimcrackery together and they all add up to what is more known as organized religions of this world. Poch Suzara

Jesus Christ

For my part, as an atheist, I have neither love nor respect for Jesus Christ. For one thing, Jesus never gave a hoot as to whether his father married his mother. For another, Jesus never did anything important for his mother and for women in general. But Jesus would wash the feet of his stupid apostles. And to think that this is the same Jesus who, crucified on the cross, cried out: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Indeed, the same Jesus who, during his lifetime, also declared that the end of the world is coming. Poch Suzara

No Atheist in the Corrupt Government

Everybody admits that almost all of our men and women employed, installed, or elected to be in Philippine government are corrupt. Nobody, however, has the guts to admit that there are no atheists, either elected or appointed in the Philippine government. Indeed, the corrupt officials and some other 1.7 million corrupt government employees believe, love, worship, and adore God. for my part, as an atheist, I say this is a most favorable argument for Atheism to grow, to expand, and to develop in the Philippines. Poch Suzara

The Problem with the Lord

The problem with the Lord is that he is not omnipresent anywhere out there, but only omni-absent everywhere down here. Well, we are told that whom the gods wish to destroy they first make mad. This is just the first part of the story. The second part of the story is that after the gods have done destruction, they eternally play the game of “hide and seek.” Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

Christianity

Christianity has always been a great success in the Philippines. Due to our Christian values and infantile beliefs – endless corruption, mediocrity, hypocrisy, and poverty have also been quite a success as a way of life in our sick and crippled society. Poch Suzara
