21 reasons Why I Abandoned Christianity

21 Reasons why I abandoned Christianity... Christianity is based on fear... Christianity preys on the innocent... Christianity is based on dishonesty... Christianity is extremely egocentric... Christianity breeds arrogance, a chosen-people mentality... Christianity breeds authoritarianism... Christianity is cruel... Christianity is anti-intellectual, anti-scientific... Christianity has a morbid, unhealthy preoccupation with sex... Christianity produces sexual misery... Christianity has an exceedingly narrow, legalistic view of morality... Christianity encourages acceptance of real evils while focusing on imaginary evils... Christianity depreciates the natural world... Christianity models hierarchical, authoritarian organization... Christianity sanctions slavery... Christianity is misogynistic... Christianity is homophobic... Christianity and its Bible is not a reliable guide to Christ's teachings... Christianity and its Bible is riddled with contradictions and absurdities... Christianity borrowed its central myths and ceremonies from other ancient religions... Christianity arrested, incarcerated, and public executed one of my Intellectual fathers - Jose Rizal... If any of you wish to know the details of any one of the above reasons, let me know... I'd be happy to supply you the horror for your attention... Poch Suzara, Twitter# Facebook# Google#

My Dear Senator Rene Saguisag,

My Dear Senator Rene Saguisag,“ It is the duty and responsibility of every thinking man to always be on the side of the living, not of the dying. Indeed, to always courageously be on the side of humanity, and not frightened of a silly divinity. We atheists have no problem with death. We simply die sober, and not drunk with lies or deceptions or with consuelitos para los bobos! Cheers! Poch Suzara

If There is a God

Those who feel nobly, even if in their day they live obscurely, need not fear that they will have lived in vain... Something radiates from their lives, some light that shows the way to their friends, their neighbors, perhaps to long future ages... I find many men nowadays oppressed with a feeling that in the vastness of modern societies there is nothing of importance that the individual can do... This is a mistake. The individual, if he is filled with love of mankind, with breadth of vision, with courage and with endurance, can do a great deal... Bertrand Russell.. For my part, I said it before, I say it again: if there is a God, his name should be spelled BERTRAND RUSSELL... Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

A Library is not just a Library

“Congratulations on the new library, because it isn’t just a library... It is a space ship that will take you to the farthest reaches of the Universe, a time machine that will take you to the far past and the far future, a teacher that knows more than any human being, a friend that will amuse you and console you—and most of all, a gateway, to a better and happier and more useful life.” ... Isaac Asimov. . . Oh, my dear Isaac Asimov, had you been one of my teachers in La Salle grade school, never would I have ever planned to eventually get myself expelled out of that sick rotten mess more referred to as a school- a place of learning. . . . A thorough Knowledge of the Bible

A thorough knowledge of the Bible is worth more than a college education... Theodore Roosevelt. . . Oh my dear Theodore Roosevelt, you are, 100 per cent, right on target... As an expelled high school student of some 65 years ago, I began to read books, especially those banned books we were not allowed to read such as the holy bible... As an avid reader, however, gradually, creatively and joyfully, I ended up to be an atheist as Isaac Asimov truthfully said it: “Properly read, the Bible is the most potent force for atheism ever conceived.” . . . Oh Yes, I am an Atheist

When I told the people of Northern Ireland that I was an atheist, a woman in the audience stood up and said, 'Yes, but is it the God of the Catholics or the God of the Protestants in whom you don't believe? ... Quentin Crisp ... My dear Quentin Crisp, when I tell the religiously frightened saps and college-educated jerks here in our sick society that I am atheist, they say that I am not... That I am only pretending to be a an atheist... As a matter of fact, I refuse to believe that there is a God existing behind any of the great religions of the world... Especially the God existing behind Catholicism in the Philippines. No way! Over my dead body will I believe in such superstitious nonsense... I said it before, I say it again and again: I have no need to believe in your lesser God because I already believe in something greater - my family, my country, and the whole of humanity. Poverty of the Worst Kind in the Philippines

Dear Mar Patalinjug, You are 100 per cent right on target... Out of the 100 million population of the Philippines, 30 million Filipinos are caught in the sticky quagmire of poverty, living lives of extreme degradation and dehumanization... Mar, may I, however, point out that the rest of the population in our country suffer from poverty of even the worst kind - the poverty of the mind and heart... Such horrors have always kept us Filipinos poor spiritually as a people and mentally retarded historically as a nation!!! I have asked it before, I ask it again: Have we ever heard of a Filipino who got to be FILTHY RICH for believing that God is BAD??? So how come millions upon millions of Filipinos are FILTHY POOR and yet they all believe that God is GOOD! I can only repeat - the worst kind of poverty is the poverty of the mind and heart... Such horrors have been what our sick system of education has been and still is mostly about! With all best wishes, Poch Suzara Twitter# Google# Facebook#

The Chinese in China Compared to the Filipinos in the Philippines

98 per cent of all Chinese daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities in China have only to do with nothing but work, work, and more work for the benefit of the human race down here... In the Philippines, 98 per cent of all Filipino daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly activities have only to do with pray, pray, and more praying for the benefit from divine grace up there... Chinese have been irreligious as a people since the 11th century. We Filipinos have been nothing but religious as a people since the 16th century... For my part, as a Filipino atheist, I hate religion as I hate anything based on fear... Fear never promotes mental growth. Fear is a reflection of intellectual immaturity. I hate religion because it enhances deadly believing, not lively thinking. Nothing evolved in religion... The religious lies and deceptions told to our ancestors during the first century are still same old lies and deceptions told to our children in school in this 21st century... If only religion had been more about the courage to live, and not about the fear of death; indeed, if only religion were about the search of the truth, and not that this or that is the truth – I would have learned to love passionately, and not hate religion justifiably... Moreover, never, would I have ever self-expelled myself out of De la Salle University high school. Religion has been more about being a part of the security system organized by the church... It is a great business to gain wealth, power, glory, and authority... Sadly, however, there is no such thing as a security system anywhere in this world... Not as long as there is birth, growth, death, and decay... In the ultimate analysis, however, if only religion had never taught us that to be human means to be evil, fallen, and in need of rescue - religion need not have proceeded to be the greatest evils that keep the human race still pretty much bogged down in endless disgrace... As a Filipino atheist, I have every respect and admiration for the Chinese people in China... In their schools, colleges, and universities - they are taught to believe that this world can be made better in the here and now. They do not believe in the silly promises of the priesthood industry that there is a better world to come but only after we are all DEAD, GONE, and BURIED! Poch Suzara Facebook# Google# Twitter#

When we were boys and girls in school and at home some 60 years ago, we were told by our parents and teachers to PRAY FOR THE CONVERSION OF RUSSIA... Never, however, were we also told to PRAY FOR THE CONVERSION OF ISRAEL - the land where Jesus was born that never got to be converted into a Catholic country... Israel is still a Jewish State... The Jews there are still Jewish. Not Catholics!!! It shows the stupidity behind the insanity of our silly prayers... Russia never got to be converted... She is still atheistic as a country as ever... The Russians never got to be converted to be Catholics. Israel is still a Jewish State... She never got to be a Catholic country like the Philippines... In the meantime, we have college-educated saps in our forum always blessed with a school-boy mentality still insisting that we must always continue to pray and to have FAITH IN THE SON OF GOD JESUS - the SAVIOR OF THE WORLD, ESPECIALLY THE PHILIPPINES!!! I asked it before, I ask it again: Is our faith in divinity due to our stupidity because of our traditional insanity; or, due to our insanity because of our traditional stupidity??? Or who knows? Maybe such horrors are just due to, if not because of, the insanity and stupidity in what's really going inside our Catholic schools, colleges, and universities??? Dr. Jose Rizal's greatest ENEMY in the Philippines

Millions of us frightened Filipinos as educated products of Catholic schools, colleges, and universities are taught to believe that Jose Rizal RETRACTED before he was publicly executed by the power and authority of the Catholic church in the Philippines. . . At the same time, however, we also continue to reject to acknowledge JOSE RIZAL's greatest of enemy then and still is the enemy of the millions of Filipinos in the Philippines today - the TEACHINGS OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. . . Indeed, I said it before, I say it again: as soon as the Catholic church and its power and authority are thrown out of our country, we Filipinos, millions of us, the Sick Man of Asia, can begin to learn how to be the HEALTHIEST MAN OF ASIA! ... Dear Poch

NEW YORK, 25 January 2014 Dear Poch: Seriously, I think it would be worth your while to consider compiling all that you have written on Religion, Christianity, the Vatican, etc., etc. in Cyberspace systematically into a BOOK, divided into, say, at least 30 chapters. Knowing that you are still vigorous now that you are at 70, you can do it, and do a good job of it. Then get a reputable publisher to publish it. With an initial printing of, say, 20,000 copies, to be distributed to all public libraries all over the country, to all of the country's Barangays, to other institutions or parties that may profit from a revelation of the TRUTH. Once you sense a demand for the book exists, then order a second printing of X copies, enough to meet the increased demand for it. I know that you have the financial means to consider this proposed Project seriously. This will be the legacy of POCHOLO SUZARA. And many people will remember you for such a Book. Enlightened people all over the world remember BERTRAND RUSSEL for his enlightened views on Religion, Christianity, and Life. My sense is that you, too, will be remembered for generations of Filipinos for showing them the way to the TRUTH. MarPatalinjug Dear Mar, many thanks for writing and for your suggestion. In fact, in my thoughtstoprovokeyourthoughts Blogspot, I already published more than 4,000 aphorisms on religion, education, corruption, Christianity, stupidity, and social and political insanity, not to mention the lies and deceptions considered as our sacred beliefs as a people and holy values as a nation. I also have ready for publication two manuscripts - THE FAILURE OF EDUCATION UNDER THE SUCCESS OF CHRISTIANITY IN THE PHILIPPINES, and my favorite which I ardently hope will be published before I leave this world - THE BIRTH AND DEATH OF AN ATHEIST IN THE PHILIPPINES. Anyway Mar, I have every hope that others in the future will carry on what I can no longer do - trying to bring enlightenment to the Filipino minds and hearts in our country in great need of salvation via civilization, and not via traditional silly biblical revelation. With all best wishes always, Poch Suzara

False Knowledge

Beware of false knowledge; it is more dangerous than ignorance. . . . George Bernard Shaw. . . Oh my dear George Bernard Shaw, there is something far more dangerous than ignorance in our Catholic schools, colleges, and universities - that is - they continue to teach us WHAT TO BELIEVE instead of HOW TO THINK. Thus, we must only always have faith in false knowledge; especially by referring to it as having faith in God or having faith in the Son of God Jesus. . . Poch Suzara

Most Men Believe and Have faith in God

Most men believe and have faith in God because they need a good excuse to continue living like frightened educated saps - always selfish, greedy, stupid, childish, fearful, worthless, mindless, and utterly senseless, specially for the greater glory of our country in the here and in the now! Education Has Little to do with school or college

“Education is a private matter between the person and the world of knowledge and experience, and has little to do with school or college.”--- Lillian Smith --- Oh my dear Lillian Smith, after I got expelled out of La Salle high school, most of my classmates and schoolmates who got to acquire college education, have not ceased telling me that I should go back to school in order to get myself an education. It is the only in this way, they say, for me to feel blessed by God and feel saved by the Son of God Jesus... Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook#

School Days

“School days, I believe, are the unhappiest in the whole span of human existence.” --- H.L. Mencken --- Oh my dear H.L. Mencken, under the Philippine system of education, you are 100 per cent right on target, specially if you were an intelligent student. However, if you were a stupid and can easily be frightened as a student, it is the happiest days in the whole span of human existence. . . Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook#

Living and Learning are one and the same thing

"There is NO difference between living and learning... it is impossible and misleading and harmful to think of them as being separate.” ~-- John Holt --- My Dear John Holt, not, however in the Philippines. Millions of Filipinos as the Sick Man of Asia educated products of schools, colleges, and universities own and operated by the Catholic church have been told to believe and to have faith that learning, more and deeper learning, is s SIN against God. . . Mindless, Worthless Faith

“If someone invites you to his religion, do not look down on him, on the contrary, you should thank him; he shares with you the most valuable what he has - his faith.” ― Ilkin Santak - Oh my dear Santak, you poor miserable mindless sap, a man of faith is like a stupid drunkard who clings to a lamppost for support, not illumination. . . Whay we can do for Others and for our Country

“Time and money spent in helping men to do more for themselves is far better than mere giving.”. . . Henry Ford . . . Oh my dear Henry Ford, a thought to provoke the thought of others for the purpose of exposing lies and deceptions is the best thing we can do for others and for our country; especially to protect our country from the corrupt government politicians always in cahoots with the corrupt church theologians... Anak Ng Dios Kadugo Ni Cristo

I am a member of the Church known as "Anak ng Diyos Kadugo Ni Kristo" or the Children of God Blood Kin of the Christ. It is a Filipino-originated Church. . . Atty. Batas Mauricio "But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them for me." Luke 19:27. . . Jesus Christ My dear Atty Mauricio, don't you people ever wonder why Jesus was NOT a Filipino born in the Philippines? He was a Jew born of Jewish parents in Israel some 2000 years ago that today is NOT even a Christian country, but a Jewish State? Do you know that the anti-Christ Movement in Israel has always been a great success! And to think that the Jews believe of themselves as the CHOSEN PEOPLE OF GOD. It is all, indeed all - so sickening! . . . Poch Suzara

Healthy Intelligent Knowing Versus Sick Believing

“People would rather believe than know.”. . . Edward O. Wilson . . . "Most people would sooner die than think; in fact, they do so." . . .Bertrand Russell. . . Can we blame people, specially as people are the products of a sick system of education that teaches them not HOW TO THINK, but only WHAT TO BELIEVE? . . . And to think that "BELIEF" is the best way to retard the growth of consciousness; indeed, the best way to destroy the curious mind of children in school. . . As for me, I believe in nothing. I question everything. In my search of the truth, I reject the religion of deadly paralysis; I accept the science of lively analysis! . . . Socrates, the Greek thinker, three thousand years ago, said it: "The unexamined life is not worth living for man." . . . Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#
