I do not know about you my dear reader. But my favorite sin is anger. I love to get angry. Especially at theological treadmill forever trying to keep up with the religious morons - the leaders of our sick society. Especially as they are inspired by divinity in cahoots with deviltry to frighten everyone else from infancy to senility. But then again, it is true, no one has the right to be angry; especially emotionally. But we all do have not only the duty, but also the responsibility to get angry intellectually; especially at the social, political, and environmental garbage around us perpetually in our sick society. A Message from George Carlin

Too bad a famous columnist in this God-forsaken country like my friend Tony Abaya seems to be frightened as well to acknowledge openly and publicly that George Carlin is also a famous American atheist: The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things. We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less. These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just remember; spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever. Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side. Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent. Remember, to say, "I love you" to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you. Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again. Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind. AND ALWAYS REMEMBER: Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. If you don't send this to at least 8 people....Who cares? The Worst Kind of Poverty

The worst kind of poverty is the poverty of the mind and heart. We must thank our schools, colleges, and universities for such miracles. Indeed, thanks to our poor system of education, we have been taught to have faith in our poor beliefs and poor values that obviously have nothing to do with our health as a people and wealth as a nation. Life After Death

If there is life and happiness with God after death, then the death of a religious loved one should be an occasion for celebration, not commiseration.

Let’s be honest and frank. If there were evidences that there is a better world to come after we are dead, then suicide should one of the greatest of virtues, if not the greatest of man’s pleasures.

Imagine the planet earth, due to daily suicide, there would be no such thing as overpopulation, poverty problem, violence and wars. All babies would be born loved, needed, and wanted – the very foundation for peace on earth and goodwill to all men. Poch Suzara

What’s not True

What's wrong with believing what’s not true? It is the same as believing that 2 plus 2 is not 4.

Now let’s ask: what’s wrong with believing what is false? Nothing wrong with it except that it is usually referred to as “blind faith” – the foundation and the promotion of superstition.

But then again: what’s wrong with believing in superstition? Nothing wrong with it except that superstition is precisely what makes the Philippines - the Sick Nation of Asia.

It is Fantastic

Most religious people apparently live in a world of fantasy. They know nothing of the existence of God and its mystery. They know nothing of the existence of love and its complexity. I am told that I should be a little bit more polite and not call any one a religious moron. Well, I often thought of calling them religious idiots but I really don’t want to insult the idiots. Cats and dogs in America live on a yearly budget of $50,000,000,000 ( Billion ) Pet Food industry in the USA. To think that cats and dogs in America have never been blessed with such miracles derived from the Old and the New Testament, or derived from El Shaddai improvement, or even derived from Jesus is Lord movement. Wealth Stolen in the Philippines

Overpopulation means that the number of people in a society surpasses the economic basis for providing them with adequate food, ample clothing, decent housing, quality school facilities¸ meaningful employment, and creative leisure. Of course a men of blind faith do not see the beauty of these earthly goods. They can only believe what other men of blind faith have frightened them to believe. Especially when they were little boys ang girls at home and in school, that: - God will always provide.

If it is true that the Philippines has no overpopulation problem and that our problem of vast poverty is really due to unequal distribution of wealth as provided by God, I ask: when will the Vatican bank begin to return and distribute to poor Filipinos the trillions of dollars stolen by religion big business in the Philippines – the only Catholic country in Asia since the 16 century? Our politicians are more at home with prayers than they are learning as readers.

The Bible

“Study the bible to be wise; believe it to be safe; practice it to be holy.” Philippine Star Nov. 17, 2007.

If the bible was truly written by inspired authors of God and if God made any sense at all, no one would need to acquire a modicum of common sense to do what any sane man should do after studying, believing and practicing the bible: throw the silly book out the window. The bible is a good book; unfortunately, good for nothing. Look at the results of bible teachings in the Philippines – the only Christian country since the 16^h century.

The Evil called Religion

Nobel Prize-wining American physicist Steven Weinberg said: “Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it, you’d have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, it takes religion.”

From Adamson University

A college student in Adamson University proudly commented that it is ok for me not to believe in God since God believes in me. Well, I replied: I find it enigmatic that a God could also be in the childish business of believing or disbelieving anything! What happened to that more matured business of “knowing?”

How to be a Decent Human Being

Take care of your body. Especially your brain. The best kind of wealth is health. There is more to life than just to be a stupid believer. One must never be afraid to be an intelligent thinker. Deadly Religion

“Every cause, “ wrote Paul Ehrlich, “is a lost cause unless there is population control.” With all due respect, I do not quite agree. The more people there are existing under subhuman conditions, indeed, the more misery and poverty that exist in the world, the more the cause of religion becomes a winning cause.

Christianity always had a vested interest in human suffering. Christianity had been quite a success by capitalizing on human suffering. She has been enormously successful in insuring her own existence through the perpetuation of human suffering via blind faith. Especially in the Philippines. Jose Rizal

Rizal was arrested by the Christians, incarcerated by the Christians, executed by the Christians, and then his corpse put inside an old sack was thrown in Paco cemetery by the Christians. Indeed, Rizal was never given a Christian burial.
To believe that Rizal died as a Christian only makes Rizal what we Filipinos are today - the Sick Man of Asia - still devoted and faithful to Christian values and beliefs. Poch Suzara

Refuse to Think

When you refuse to think, someone else will determine thoughts for you. In the meantime, the church leaders have only to remind you that God gifted you with a free will so that you no longer have to think, especially for yourself. Poch Suzara

Bible Inspiration

Bible inspiration usually depends upon the fear and the ignorance of those who do not bother to read properly the Word of God.

In the meantime, human happiness is hardly inspired in the bible. Man is destined to be free. Whether freedom will make him happy is an issue explained neither in the Old nor in the New Testament. Theology has nothing to do with science or even with philosophy. Theology has nothing to do with what is true or false. In fact, theology is the study of nothing. Consider after all these past many centuries, the theologians still do not know what exactly they are talking about! In fact, they do not even know what “knowing” means. Poch Suzara

Religious Founders

The failure of organized religions is that all of them made a mockery of what their founders taught. And why not, since the founders of most religions have not been flexible thinkers, but only rigid, if not reckless, believers.

Consider the encouragement of false beliefs and to protect sacred lies by discouraging, if not prohibiting, honest discussion and free inquiry. The horror could only be the result of childish believing based upon fear and ignorance. Not due to intelligent matured thinking based upon the search of the truth. Poch Suzara

Combine organized mediocrity, organized hypocrisy, and organized dishonesty, not to mention organized gimcrackery together and they all add up to what is more known as organized religions of this world. Poch Suzara

Jesus Christ

For my part, as an atheist, I have neither love nor respect for Jesus Christ. For one thing, Jesus never gave a hoot as to whether his father married his mother. For another, Jesus never did anything important for his mother and for women in general. But Jesus would wash the feet of his stupid apostles. And to think that this is the same Jesus who, crucified on the cross, cried out: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Indeed, the same Jesus who, during his lifetime, also declared that the end of the world is coming. No Atheist in the Corrupt Government

Everybody admits that almost all of our men and women employed, installed, or elected to be in Philippine government are corrupt. Nobody, however, has the guts to admit that there are no atheists, either elected or appointed in the Philippine government. It is truly Amazing

In recent decades homosexuals and the lesbians have come out of the closet. Openly and publicly, they have courageously exposed their real identity for everyone to tolerate.

The atheists, however, are still playing hide and seek inside the closet. They are still afraid to rock the religious boat. Atheist are still careful not to displease the homosexuals and the lesbians who are owners of schools, colleges, and universities, including the so-called “freaks” of nature as priest and nuns in the priesthood industry. Childish Religion

A religion that attaches blame to the faults of the created rather than point to the faults of the creator has got to be a religion for the religious morons.

Such is our Christian religion. The religion of the losers and the failures. Why should we pay for the original sin of Adam and Eve? They were not even Filipinos! Golly, Adam and Eve were not even Catholics. They never enjoyed the benefits of the sacrament of Baptism. Golly, nobody even told Adam and Eve about the power of prayer and the forgiveness of sin and crime, specially if one were the former Catholic president of the Republic of the Philippines. On Being Spiritual

Most people believe that being spiritual is only about listening to others preaching bombastic garbage from the holy bible. On the contrary, being spiritual is about questioning everything, especially questioning the bible as it contains plenty of nothing. After more than 4,000 years of messages from God in the Old Testament and from Jesus, the Son of God, in the New Testament – look at our world still sapped with so many destructive religious messages such as God loves the world. Corruption

Corruption may have been invented in China. But thanks to the pardon of crime and the forgiveness of sin - corruption was perfected as a way of life; especially in Congress and in the Senate of the Philippine government. They seek not solutions to national problems, but seek instead only money and power. When they do get money, plenty of it, money made either by lies or by deception, or made by hook or by crook, they just continue to be selfish, greedy, stupid, insecure, corrupt, and insane. Wow, they are even so proud when you address them as “your honor.” After all, they are the elected members of the House of Representathieves. Poch Suzara

God Revealed in Nature

Nature is terrible and cruel. It cares nothing for human values. Nature is also wasteful. Moreover, nature has only to do with birth, death, and decay. Nothing is permanent in nature. As an atheist I admit that I am a part of nature as nature is part of me. Now where or when or how has God ever revealed himself in nature? Poch Suzara

Why Something

Why the existence of something rather than nothing? The implication is that there is a creator responsible for that something. Well, this is all fine and dandy. But why only a male God responsible for that something? Why not instead a female goddess responsible for everything?

Quality Education

If quality education starts with the teachers, the government can do a great deal to transform by improving the conditions for teachers. Unfortunately, this is not enough. What is mostly needed is the scientific outlook or, simply, the love of the truth in classrooms. Bertrand Russell explained it in plain language: “I wish to propose for the reader’s favorable consideration a doctrine which may, I fear, appear wildly paradoxical and subversive. The doctrine in question is this: that it is undesirable to believe a proposition when there is no ground whatever for supposing it true." If this doctrine were widespread and generally accepted and practiced in our schools, colleges, and universities, it will revolutionize from backward to forward the Filipino way of life in the Philippines. Atheist Defined

Dictionary says an atheist is one who denies the existence of God. This is hogwash. What we atheists deny is that God has absolutely anything to do with existence. Otherwise, the proofs of the existence of God should have already been established centuries ago. In this already 21st century – the Christians, the Jews, and the Muslims still hate and kill each other over who or what such weird supernatural beings should be called: - God? Allah? Yahweh? Or what have you! Now let us assume for the sake of the argument that God exist somewhere out there. Does God really have such an uneasy vanity as to be terrestrially upset just because we atheists do not believe in his terrestrial existence? If we atheists were able to declare that God does not exist, how come God could not be return the compliment by also declaring that the atheists do not exist? Yet here we are existing as clean and as bright as the sun – the real creator of life on this earth! If we must believe in something, let us believe in the existence of the sun. The sun is clean and bright even as it burns itself out in the process. Poch Suzara

Ignorance

Ignorance establishes its own blindness; prevents its own enlightenment; and, belittles human intelligence. Ignorance is bliss and has always been precisely what the subject of theology has been all about. Look how the theologians are still ignorant of the knowledge whether God as a He, a She, or an It!

Newspapers

Our newspapers seem incomplete unless they report death, murder, rape, robbery, and other forms of lawlessness and crime, not to mention the life and times of the tootie frooties and patuties famous in our sick society. The few recognize it as social insanity. The many believe it to be the miracles of “freedom and democracy.” Poch Suzara
