The Unexamined Life

Socrates, the ancient Greek philosopher, concluded that: “The unexamined life is not worth living for man.” Indeed, we must examine not only our own life, but examine also the life of our parents who gave us life.

For my part, I began to learn to love my mother and father more than I have then loved Jesus, Mary, and Joseph and other bible Jewish characters who never even existed; and, if they did, born centuries ago in foreign countries, none of them had anything to do with us Filipinos born in the Philippines in this 21st century.
