Freedom of the Press

There is no such thing as freedom of the press unless you own press. If you were the owner of the press, you can certainly enjoy the freedom of the press. In the meantime, our democracy encourages mediocrity, and fosters vulgarity. Indeed, under our so-called democracy, we Filipinos enjoy not only the power of ferocity, not only the glory of insanity, but also the blessings from the Catholic church and its authority as they are the real owners of the press in our poor and sick country.
