Time to Sell the University of the Philippines

For: Mar Patalinjug
New York, New York,

Dear Mar,
TIME TO SELL THE UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES

May I suggest something even more drastic? If we Filipinos truly desire to enjoy self-respect as a people and dignity as a nation, not only the University of the Philippines, but more so the more than one thousand (1,000) schools, colleges and universities all be dismantled and abolished out of our Asian landscape.

But how this be possible, since the Catholic Church already owns most of what comprises the Philippines - most of its natural resources, prime land, agricultural farms, banks, hospitals, TV stations, radio stations, newspapers, etc. Not to mention also in control of the Philippine government as how stuck it should remain; especially when it comes to moral, legal, and economic direction for the Philippines as a nation. Look at our government politicians: they are all amenable to the Catholic bishops - the power behind the Catholic church as its powerful theologians!

Millions of us Filipinos are "educated" yearly to believe that this life is no good; but that there is, however, a better life to come only after death. Indeed, as the holy bible states: "Love not this world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man (any Pinoy) love the world, (the Philippines) the love of the Father (the Pope) is not in him." 1 John 2:15.

Is it really that complicated to see how and why we Filipinos only love the Catholic divinity up there while; we have no common sense together to generate common Filipino decency in our own country down here?

In the meantime, the richest bank in the world, far richer than the United States Federal Reserve Bank is the VATICAN BANK OF THE CATHOLIC CHURCH.

Oh yes, I repeat: The Catholic church has always had a vested interests in Filipino misery. Christian doctrines do not make sense unless viewed in this context.

Indeed, the spectacular success of the Catholic church in the Philippines, more than any other religion, have and still do capitalize on Filipino suffering; and it was enormously successful in insuring its own existence through the perpetuation of misery and suffering as a way of Filipino life in general in the Philippines. Of course, in Catholic schools, colleges, and Catholic universities, we were never taught how to be miserable or how to suffer. On the contrary, we were, instead, taught to SACRIFICE in this life so that benefits may be rewarded in the life to come after death with God in heaven. We must only invest, so to speak, in this life, and collect interest in the next world with God in His Kingdom. Profitably for the Catholic Church, the billions of Filipino who, down through the centuries, already died cannot resurrect to demand for a refund. Poch Suzara

On Barbara C. Gonzales

. . . I realized late in my life that the Catholic Church in the Philippines ordered Jose Rizal executed and never once apologized for it. I think they should apologize for theircruel misdeed. But they never have. Anyway, to me, all religions are man-made, a way for man to discipline himself without taking responsibility, actually, an escape from responsibility. I think I am now, if I have to be anything at all, what other people call a freethinker. I think therefore I am and take full responsibility for myself." Barbara C. Gonzales wrote in her column in the Philippine Star today, Aug. 27, 2011

Well, I must say I am so proud of you Barbara. You are a courageous woman. A thinking Filipina. A rarity among women of the Philippines. As you are a distant relative of Jose Rizal, I must also add, if only more and more women of the Philippines possessed your intellectual courage - we Filipinos need no longer be famous as the Sick Man of Asia.

I said it before, I say it again: In this already 21st century, it is time for us Filipinos to be more and more "Rizalistic" as a people by being less and less of a "Catholic" as a country of Asia since we have been in the 16th century. Indeed, it is time for us Filipinos to catch up with rest of the Asian countries growing and developing. They are substantiating the ideas and ideals of our own Jose Rizal publicly executed by the Catholic Church in the Philippines more than a century ago. Poch Suzara, Freethinker

Old Age in this world

Old age, like any other age, is the time to struggle for human decency. Bertrand Russell

I agree entirely. In the Philippines, however, old age, like my age, is the time
to struggle against garbage and trash. It is more known as the garbage behind political corruption; and, the trash behind biblical revelation. Poch Suzara

Evils in Our World

The troubles in our world begin with the troubles within the human family as it has always been troubled since God knows when. Indeed, due to children born as products not of love, but sex. This is on the ticklish side.

On the bullshit side, the troubles in our world have little to do with good fighting evil. It has more to do with evil fighting evil; especially for the greater glory of God in heaven always in cahoots for the greater glory of the devil in hell. Poch Suzara

Catholicism Against Civilization

If the Catholic church have built Western civilization - how come the same Catholic church has never been able to built civilization in the Philippines - the only Catholic country in Asia since almost four hundred years ago?

We Filipinos have been civilized by the Catholic Church? No kidding? How come under Catholic teachings we Filipinos still do not know how to love one another as a people; nor do we know how to develop ourselves as a nation. We only know how to love God up there by hating one another down here? We only know how to go to heaven after death and to hell with life on this earth after birth! As a matter of historical fact, Catholicism has always been against civilization in the Philippines.

In the meantime, if we have the knowledge to move mountain, then surely we have no need of faith to move mountain. Since the 16h century however - the Catholic church is still teaching us Filipinos to believe that only faith can move mountain!

Well, we are already in the 21st century. So how come we Filipinos are still dominated and ruled by the mountain of corruption as inspired by the teachings of Catholicism in this only poor and backward Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century? Poch Suzara

What If God is a Supernatural Moron

If triangle could speak, it would say, that God is eminently triangular. While if a circle could speak, it would say that the divine nature of God is eminently circular.

Well, you morons can speak, and therefore your God is eminently moronic. Who else but a moron, in your case a supernatural moron, who must first see you all DEAD before you are to be rewarded in a moronic heaven, or to be punished in a moronic hell over absolutely NOTHING? Poch Suzara

Religion and Politics

The subject of religion is based mostly on fear and ignorance. The subject of politics is based mostly on a lot of silly promises. That is why, in social gatherings, we are told that it is in good taste not to talk about religion or politics. Well, I ask: If this were true, how come the subject of religion and politics are important subjects taught in schools, colleges, and universities - not as evil monsters, but as sacred values and holy beliefs behind our sick way of life in our poor and backward country? Atheists as Victims of Organized Religions

From the greatest, the brightest, and the most admirable woman I have ever met:

"I'll tell you what you did with unbelievers for about 1500 years. You outlawed them from the universities, or any teaching careers, besmirched their reputations, banned or burned their books or their writings of any kind, drove them into exile, humiliated them, seized their properties, arrested them for blasphemy. You dehumanized them with beatings and exquisite torture, gouged out their eyes, slit their tongues, stretched, crushed, or broke their limbs, tore off their breasts if they were a woman, crushed their scrotums if they were men, imprisoned them, stabbed them, disemboweled them, hung them, burnt them alive. And you have the nerve enough to complain to me that I laugh at you." Dr. Madalyn Murray O'Hair, Founder "American Atheists, Inc." Poch Suzara, member, 1982-1986

The Power in Blind Faith

No doubt, there is the power in blind faith. It comes from the power of blind ignorance. We may not have learned to value the power of bright thought in our schools, colleges, and universities. But we have certainly been taught to have faith in our blind faith. Thus, our blind faith in religious lies, political deceptions as a people; and, never-ending sins, crimes, and corruption as a nation! Poch Suzara

Faith and Mountain

If you already have the knowledge on how to move mountain, what's the purpose of holding on to your faith that can move mountain? In the first place, faith has yet to explain why a mountain need to be to moved! Poch Suzara

Health with Fr. Fernando Suarez

Landmark will have a healing mass with the celebrant Fr. Fernando Suarez on August 20, 2011 at the Glorieta Activity Center, Ayala Center, Makati City. It is sad to see Fr. Fernando Suarez still pretending that God has given him the power to heal the sick. Moreover, he promises that the bigger your donation the sooner will he be able to apply his healing process. A lot of dumbstruck bobos believe this religious moron.

Is it really true that health is the greatest of wealth? But how can that be since the existence of health is hardly a reality? My dear reader, let's face it. The day
we are born is the day we begin to live in a dying body. So how can health be the greatest of wealth? In the ultimate analysis, however, we are all fucked. There is no such thing as health or wealth except perhaps in the here and now - the health and wealth of the human mind to accept reality with courage: that nothing in this world is permanent. Everything existing is simply temporary.

Ah, perhaps I am wrong. After all, there is something in this world more everlasting than eternity. It is known as "human stupidity." It is what our system of education has been all about since God knows when. Poch Suzara

If Religion were True and Beneficial

If religion were true and beneficial, and that there is life after death, then the subject of religion should be taught to us after death, and not after birth. After all, life is so brief, so short and fleeting, indeed not lasting. Death with God in heaven or with the devil in hell is more everlasting. Poch Suzara

Why Something Rather than Nothing

We are asked why in this universe there is something rather than nothing? Well, if God, in His own image and likeness, created everything out of nothing, then God must be a nothing too. Poch Suzara

Creationism

Creationism: The theory that the Roman Empire was built in 6 days and on the 7th day, after the devil made a mess of everything Roman, God said: "It was good." Poch Suzara

There are No Atheists

I am told that there are no atheists in a sinking ship. That there are no atheists in an airliner out of control crashing. Well, there are also no atheists in the United States government. So how come the United States of America is sinking as a nation and crashing down the military road as a world power? These horrors are happening to us while we Americans, as a people, continue to sing "God Bless America." Poch Suzara

Fuck that Holy Death Shit

I would rather be a disgrace to divine grace than be a disgrace to the human race. After all, what meaning has life on this earth if we do struggle for the establishment of common human decency, nay for own dignity and self-respect as human beings? In the meantime, if death should turn out to be something more precious than life on this earth, then I say: "Fuck that holy death shit." Poch Suzara

On My Kind of Death

I know nothing of life after death. In fact, nobody but nobody has any idea of what's life, if any, all about after death. What I do know, however, is that after I die, my remains will be cremated and my ashes thrown away in a rain forest. Or if I die in a sinking ship, I will end up dead like a dead fish in the ocean. Or, if I die in an airliner out of control crashing into a mountain, I will be blown up into bits reduced into cinders. Whatever the case may be, I said it before, I say it again: Fuck death.

Stupid men

When a woman finds herself no longer desirable to intelligent men, she turns to religion.
Poor woman, it has never dawn on her that it is precisely stupid religion that makes men stupid. Poch Suzara

Freedom is not Free

Freedom is not free. It has a cost. In most third world countries, like the Philippines, the cost of freedom is more known as "American Interests." It is what we Filipinos contribute to the American economic freedom for protecting and defending our so-called "freedom." Poch Suzara

The Business of War

War is mostly about young men dying in the field of battle for the sake of human stupidity. While the old men are sitting comfortably behind the military industry making tons of money; especially for the glory of a heavenly divinity. In war, nothing is solved or settled except the preparation for future wars. Next to the business of religion in the fear business, war is highly profitable for the munition makers business.
