Failed Predictions

Failed predictions of notable personalities:

There is no reason anyone would want a computer in their home.---Ken Olson, president, chairman and founder of Digital Equipment Corp, maker of big business mainframe computers, arguing against the PC in 1977.
Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible.---Lord Kelvin, British mathematician and physicist.
There is not the slightest indication that nuclear energy will ever be obtainable. It would mean that the atom would have to be shattered at will.---Albert Einstein, 1932.
The horse is here to stay but the automobile is only a novelty---a fad. ---The president of the Michigan Savings Bank advising Henry Ford's lawyer, Horace Rackham, not to invest in the Ford Motor Co., 1903.
I must confess that my imagination refuses to see any sort of submarine doing anything but suffocating its crew and floundering at sea.---HG Wells, British novelist, in 1901.
X-rays will prove to be a hoax.---Lord Kelvin, President of the Royal British Society, 1883.
Television won't last. It's a flash in the pan.---Mary Somerville, pioneer of radio educational broadcasts, 1948.
A rocket will never be able to leave the Earth's atmosphere.---New York Times, 1

Here, however, are Flat Out Lies By The Bible's God Character, And His Numerous Failed Predictions. We'll start with:

Lies from the bible's god in Genesis:

1. "But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die."

God says that if Adam eats from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, then the day that he does so, he will die. But later Adam eats the forbidden fruit (3:6) and yet lives for another 930 years (5:5). 2:17

2. As a punishment for killing Abel, God says Cain will be "a fugitive and a vagabond." Yet in just a few verses (4:16-17) Cain will settle down, marry, have a son, and build a city. This is not the activity one would expect from a fugitive and a vagabond. 4:12

3. God promises Abram and his descendants all of the land of Canaan. But both history and the bible (Acts 7:5 and Heb.11:13) show that God's promise to Abram was a lie. 13:15, 15:18, 17:8, 28:13-14

3. How long was the Egyptian captivity? This verse says 400 years, but Ex.12:40 and Gal.3:17 say 430 years. 15:13

4. "In the fourth generation they [Abraham's descendants] shall come hither again." But, if we count Abraham, then their return occurred after seven generations: Abraham, Isaac (Gen.21:1-3), Jacob (Gen.25:19-26), Levi (Gen.35:22-23), Kohath (Ex.6:16), Amramn (Ex.6:18), and Moses (Ex.6:20). 15:16

5. God promises Abram's descendants the land of Canaan from the Nile to the Euphrates. But according to Acts 7:5 and Heb.11:13 God's promise to Abram was not fulfilled. 15:18

6. God promises to make Isaac's descendents as numerous as "the stars of heaven", which, of course, never happened. The Jews have always been, and will always be, a small minority. 26:4

7. God renames Jacob twice (32:28, 35:10 ). God says that Jacob will henceforth be called Israel, but the Bible continues to call him Jacob anyway (47:28-29). And even God himself calls him Jacob in 46:2. 32:28, 35:10

8. God calls Jacob Jacob, though he said in Gen.32:28 and 35:10 that he would no longer be called Jacob but Israel. 46:2

9. God promises to bring Jacob safely back from Egypt, but Jacob dies in Egypt (Gen.47:28-29) 46:3

10. The tribe of Judah will reign "until Shiloh," but Israel's first king (Saul) was from the tribe of Benjamin (Acts 13:21), and most of the time after this prophecy there was no king at all. 49:10

11. Contrary to the prophecy in 48:21, Joseph died in Egypt, not Israel. Gen.50:24

Thailand - the Master of Religion

Jan 13, 2012

My Dear Rev. Bob Gabuna,

Indeed, Thailand is a more progressive country compared to our Philippines. However, have you ever heard of the Thai people who have more faith in Jesus than they do love and respect their King? Or, in line with the teachings of Jesus - they do not take thought for tomorrow? Or worst - they believe, like millions of poor Filipinos believe, - to love NOT this world or the things that are in the world and leave everything to God because God will provide - if not in this world, in the next? All that they have to do is to pray daily to God to give us this day our daily, and to lead us not into temptation?

Really Rev. Bob Gabuna - have you ever heard of such religion garbage going on in Thailand - like 8 million of them gathering together in a public park like a bunch of insane malnourished maniacs crying to Jesus of Nazareth for some temporary salvation of no matter what nature while devoid of self-respect as a people and bereft of dignity as a nation Yours Sincerely, Poch Suzara

EVIL AGAINST EVIL

A psuedo-scientist writes: “Humankind cannot abide the terror of mortality without the promise of immortality, I have argued in the past. In the absence of religion human society sinks into depressive torpor. Secular society therefore is an oxymoron, for the death of religion leads quickly enough to the death of society itself.” I ask: how true is this in China today as the Chinese people have been irreligious since the 11th century? Or take the USSR – a so-called atheistic nation that eventually crumbled but only because after dumping Christianity, the USSR replaced Christianity with another religion called “communism.” Indeed, Communism, a religion, just like Christianity, advocate a religious way of life on the basis of irrational dogmas; they have a sacred history, a Messiah, and a priesthood. The history of the struggle of Christianity against communism was not a struggle of GOOD against EVIL; but a struggle of EVIL against EVIL. In any case, EVIL always wins! In the meantime, our world view has been deranged by myths imposed upon us by Christianity. For my part, I refuse to believe that centuries before Christianity arrived, ours was a dying society deprived of Christian teachings, values and beliefs. In fact, what diminished the Filipino of their rights to grow and to mature as decent people is due to the evils of Christian religion. Indeed, up to this day and age, we still believe that religion has only to do with our knees, and not with our heads. I ask: What happened to our sense for the spread of common decency in our own country? I say Christianity has been and still is based on holy baloney. It continues to twist our minds as a people and continues to distort our hearts as a nation. And until we dump the evils of Christianity out of our country, indeed, out of our culture and tradition, the evils that we Filipinos accomplished since in the 16th century, we will only continue to accomplish more of the same evils in the centuries to come. God as a Cry-baby Weakling

What kind of an all-knowing or all-powerful God are you people referring to me to love, worship, and adore? A God that needs frightened morons like yourselves to defend or to make excuse or even to explain that God does not really means this, but means that. It seems to me sadly obvious that this God is a cry-baby supernatural weakling - precisely the kind of a God who can uselessly help only those who can already help themselves. Poch Suzara

Useless Revelation

REVELATION via inspired authors of the bible is not REVELATION. It is a second-hand communication and therefore not a reliable source of informatiion. As an unbeliever of the faith, if I must believe in the REVEALED TRUTH OF GOD, it must first be REVEALED directly to me. And not revealed to me by any of you religious morons of this forum, or by a Jewish idiot even if, with his magic wan, could part the Red Sea during winter some four thousand years ago. In his Age of Reason, listen to Thomas Paine: "It is a contradiction in terms and ideas to call anything a revelation that comes to us at second hand, either verbally or in writing. Revelation is necessarily limited to the first communication. After this, it is only an account of something which that person says was a revelation made to him; and though he may find himself obliged to believe it, it cannot be incumbent on me to believe it in the same manner, for it was not a revelation made to me, and I have only his word for it that it was made to him." I said it before, I say it again: FUCK REVELATION! Poch Suzara

Beliefs of the Silly Faithfools

Man’s stupidity to man is mostly due to, if not from, his infinite capacity to believe the incredible, the gullible, and indeed, to believe, especially, the inspired authors of divinity always in cahoots with deviltry. On the other hand, the ability to think is basic to what it means to be human. It is also the case that to think freely is basic to living freely with self-respect and dignity. It is sad, however, that so much of human thinking is controlled by religious, political, and other social forces based upon the charade of sacred lies, if not the parade of holy deceptions. In the meantime, to believe as true that countries like Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and all of the EU countries are now experiencing chronic depopulation so much so that now they resort to importing people to run their economies - is to believe as true such charade of sacred lies, or to believe as true a parade of holy deceptions. Indeed, the SILLY beliefs of 7 BILLION people in the world, especially amongst them are silly FAITHFOOL BELIEVERS in a SAVIOR in the Philippines! Poch Suzara

Sins Versus Crimes in the Philippines

New York, New York

Dear Mar Patalinjug,

Perhaps, you are probably right; we may be just dreaming. We may never succeed in getting the Catholic Church to apologize for the unlawful execution of Jose Rizal
and to correct the lies told about him like the "retraction" scandal; and to apologize to the Filipino people for the crimes of the Catholic church against the Philippines since the 16th century. It is, indeed, incredible that for millions of Filipinos in this already 21st century we still have neither love nor faith in our country, but have only faith in God and more faith in his Son Jesus.

I said it before, I say it again: the least we Filipinos can do is to keep silent no more. We must stand up and speak up even to stir or to inspire the conscience of the world to be aware of the damages the Catholic Church has done to the Filipino as a people keeping the Philippines once known as the "Pearl of the Orient," but now known as the "Payatas of the Orient." Sin Against God on this Earth

The size and age of the Cosmos are beyond ordinary human understanding. Lost somewhere between immensity and eternity is our tiny planetary home. Carl Sagan

In this connection, it is utterly silly to believe that on this piece of dust called "earth" we humans are able to offend God, the creator of the Cosmos, with our stupid sins.

Well, I am an atheist. If it is true that I offend God by not believing in God, I should be not ashamed, but precisely I should be most proud of my self for having achieved such a wonderful and a great accomplishment. Poch Suzara

The Most Destructive Force in the Philippines

So bleak is the picture... that the bulldozer and not the atomic bomb may turn out to be the most destructive invention of the 20th century. Philip Shabecoff In our sick society, however, in this already 21st century, the most destructive force that's keeping our country poor and backward may yet be due to the Filipino minds and hearts; especially as products of the more than 1,000 schools, colleges, and universities owned and operated by the Catholic Church in the Philippines. Health, Wealth, Truth, Lies, and Deceptions

We squander our health, in search of wealth. We toil, we scheme, we sweat, and we save. Then we squander our wealth in search of health; only to find the grave. As with me, however, I have been most fortunate. I squandered my health and wealth in search of the truth. It is a never-ending search; but in the process I managed, somehow, to discover the lies and deceptions that's keeping us spiritually poor as a people and keeping us morally misguided as a nation. Belief - the Death of Intelligence

"My own opinion is that belief is the death of intelligence. As soon as one believes a doctrine of any sort, or assumes certitude, one stops thinking about that aspect of existence." Robert Anton Wilson, (Cosmic Trigger, 1977) To think that the entire foundation of our education during the formative years in schools in the Philippines had nothing to do with HOW TO THINK, but only with WHAT TO BELIEVE. Thus, we Filipinos have been taught to be mentally sick with sick beliefs and sick values learns to become the Sick Man of Asia. Poch Suzara Facebook# Twitter# Atheist# Google#

A Savior On this Grain of Sand For Filipinos

A handful of sand contains about 10,000 grains, more than the total number of stars we can see with the naked eye on a clear night. But the number of stars we can see is only the tiniest fraction of the number of stars that are. What we see at night is the merest smattering of the nearest stars with a few more distant, bright stars thrown in for good measure. Meanwhile, the cosmos is rich beyond measure. The total number of stars in the universe is larger than all the grains of sand on all the beaches of the planet earth. Carl Sagan, Scientist

Well, the earth is a billion times smaller than a grain of sand compared to the universe. I ask: could a God, the creator of the universe, really rejoice on this grain sand called "earth" in getting a Jewish Virgin Mary pregnant in Israel to produce a Son, a Redeemer, a Messiah, indeed, a Savior for the Filipinos in the Philippines? Poch Suzara, Atheist

Jesus - the Jewish Savior of Filipinos

Jesus found in the temple people selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting at tables. So he made a whip of cords and drove them all out of the temple, with the sheep and the oxen. He scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. To those who sold the doves he said, “Take these things away from here! Do not make my Father’s house a marketplace!” John 2:13-17

Can you, my dear reader, explain what has this episode with money changers in the temple somewhere in Israel some 2,000 years ago got anything to do with Jesus as a Jew, and as the Son of God - born of a Virgin Jewish Mary - ended up as the Savior
of the Filipinos in the Philippines? Poch Suzara

Jesus and Education in Israel

Jesus is usually referred to as Jesus of Nazareth though he was born supposedly in Bethlehem. The distance between them is about 75 miles. What’s remarkable about this discrepancy, however, is not the Jesus of this or that town, but that neither Nazareth nor Bethlehem got to be a Christian town as part of a Christian country. Israel is still a Jewish State today.

Here, however, is something even more revealing. In the State of Israel today there exist no school, no college, and no university that teach Jesus is the Son of God who was crucified on a cross in Calvary to redeem the damned souls of Filipinos in the Philippines - the only Christian country in Asia since the 16th century. Looking for Money

In life, you will always find what you are looking for. Indeed, if what you were looking for in life is nothing but money, you will eventually find money; especially if you were stupid enough to know not what to do with it.

Oh yes, I have been told: Poch, If you were so damned smart, why ain't you rich? My response: If you were so damned rich why are you such an idiot?

In the meantime, the worst kind of poverty is the poverty of the mind and heart. Poch Suzara

Man and Woman

Man is woman and woman is man with the slight difference that does not matter except
on especial occasions. - George Bernard Shaw. He did not have to be a scientist to figure out this simple truth. Poch Suzara

The Athiest Bible - THINK

"Somebody ought to tell the truth about the Bible. The preachers dare not, because they would be driven from their pulpits. Professors in colleges dare not, because they would lose their salaries. Politicians dare not. They would be defeated. Editors dare not. They would lose subscribers. Merchants dare not, because they might lose customers. Men of fashion dare not, fearing that they would lose caste. Even clerks dare not, because they might be discharged. And so I thought I do it myself. Robert G.Ingersoll

Indeed, the THEIST bible is comprised of 66 books; 31,173 verses; and 773,736 words. It contains contradictions, inconsistencies, absurdities, obscenities, vulgarities, atrocities, lies, and deceptions.

The ATHEIST bible, however, is more trustworthy, more reliable, and more worthy of human intelligence. The atheist bible, has, but one powerful word: THINK! Poch Suzara

Mindless Free Will

Adam and Eve were supposedly gifted with a free will to choose between good and evil. Yet both were never given the education to know the difference between the good and evil; nor, were they given divine guidance on how to accept or to reject evil. Free will is a myth. Again, how come Adam was never gifted with a free will to choose freely his kind of wife, and Eve was also never gifted with a free will to choose freely her kind of husband? In the meantime, in Proverbs 16:9, it says that: - “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” If this were true, then man’s free will becomes not only mindless, not only aimless, worthless, but, heartless. In the ultimate analysis, free will is an illusion. It is the product of consciousness which is another illusion. Well, our troubles have not yet even began because our consciousness is a product of a troubled reality. Consider the mess behind reality: "Each unfolding reality contains the seeds of its own destruction and the embryo of a new reality that will replace it." Poch Suzara

The Wrath of God

"The wrath of God continues to plague our nation because we have turned our back away from him." Bobit S. Avila, Philippine Star, Jan, 7,2012 Somebody ought to remind this religiously frightened Avila that it is not possible for any of us to turn our back away from God. In the first place, is it not true that God exists here, exists there, and exists everywhere. This simply means God exists on top of us, below us, in front of us, and at the back of us. Now let's assume, for the sake of the argument, - that we are able to turn our back away from God? Is it really possible that God can be bothered by such petty
development? Such useless triviality? For my part, I refuse to believe in the existence of a such a God. A God easily bothered by such childish nonsense. As if God had no more important things to attend to than just be easily bothered when we turn our silly back away from him. Poch Suzara

Intellectual maturity

We are on the path towards intellectual maturity when we are able to discern between intellectual honesty that comes from knowledge of truth, and intellectual dishonesty that comes from blind faith in sacred lies and holy deceptions. Poch Suzara
