Our Sick Values and Sick Beliefs
“I would like the Filipinos to be brilliant, enlightened, intelligent, and progressive.” Jose Rizal ... Regrettably,
however, with the catholic system of education, the exact opposite have been taught to us to believe. We Filipinos must only learn the ways of sinners as a people; and, learn also the ways of the criminals as a nation. Otherwise, how will God succeed in forgiving our crimes; and, how will the Son of God Jesus succeed in forgiving our sins? ... My dear reader, do you now see why the Catholic church had to get Jose Rizal arrested, incarcerated, and publicly executed? His writings were a threat to the existence of the wealth, power, glory, and authority of the catholic teachings in order to keep our country under catholic rule and domination for centuries yet to come. . . Oh God, Shame on You
"God may deny our request, but He will never disappoint our trust." Philippine Star, Nov. 12, 2014. Oh God, my dear God, shame on you. At your age. As if accepting a request from any of us poor and suffering human beings were to take so much away from you - the creator of the billions of galaxies including the trillions of germs, viruses, and bacteria on this earth. Opportunities in Life
Life opens up opportunities to you, and you either take them or you stay afraid of taking them. . . Jim Carrey ... Oh my dear Jim Carrey, life has always offered me to choose either love, or fear, or to question everything. I chose to question everything including love and fear. The Greatest of Freedom
In war, our soldiers die in battle to protect and to defend freedom. And yet, like the misguided saps and frightened jerks that we all are - we are afraid to enjoy the greatest of freedom - the freedom to think; especially the freedom to question everything. It is the foundation behind human knowledge and its growth and development. Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#
I Celebrate Christmas With These Precious Thoughts
We are told that we are saved not by what we do but by trusting what Christ has done. To think that this is the same Christ who was born of a Jewish family in Jewish town under Jewish culture and tradition some 2,000 years ago. Israel today is not even a Christian country. It is a Jewish State populated by Jews, ruled by Jews, and inspired by Judaism – a major religion that does not celebrate Christmas – the Birth of Christ. . . In this already 21st century, if Christ cares not to save his native fellow-Jews in Israel, why should Christ bother to save the Filipinos or even save the Philippines?
In the meantime, the pleasures in growth and positive achievement, the love of life, happy, expansive, generous, and creative; glad when others happy, and not glad when others are not happy - are the precious things on my mind while I celebrate Christmas this year. Indeed, for this Christmas, I should wish to celebrate the birth of the Filipino capacity to think, especially to think in terms of growth as a decent people, and development of the Philippines as a decent nation. I have no wish to celebrate the birth anniversary of Christ, but to celebrate instead the birth of the Filipino capacity to love the truth, beauty, knowledge, and the joys of this life in this world in the here and now. These will do for Christmas this year; however, for Christmas next year, I may wish to celebrate Christmas with deeper or higher reasons! MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU. There is Everything Worth Thinking For
"There are many things worth living for. There are a few things worth dying for. But there is nothing worth killing for."
Tom Robbins
For my part, as an atheist, I say there is nothing worth believing for. But there is everything worth thinking for. Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

Success in Life
SUCCESS IN LIFE is what little men would settle for; specially since they have been intellectually crippled to think of anything great to be failing at. For my part, I envy the failures of great men and great women - they tried to put beauty into this world where nature has put only horror. Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

Bro. Apollo Quiboloy -, the Appointed Sick Son of a Sick God
Bro. Apollo Quiboloy of the Appointed Son of God church, appearing on TV daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly, - preaching the Word of God, as written in the bible, is beginning to sound more and more like the disappointed sick son of a disappointed sick God.
In the meantime, it is, indeed, rather sick to believe that God himself is so sick in that He needs a sick religious jerk like Bro. Apollo Quiboloy to preach to Filipinos and to the world at large the sick Word of God as written in the sick bible by sick authors of God. Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

The Trouble With Most Men
The trouble with most men is their birth. They are still trying to get born - trying to get out of mama's womb. These are the men who believe that most battles in life are won not by thinking with our heads, but by praying on our knees. Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#
Freedom From Offense is not Human Right
Atheists are frequently called out for offending religious people even when all we're doing is stating facts about religion, even citing verses from their holy books. The use of personal offense as a defensive mechanism often serves to shut down the freedom of speech religious people hope and pray for.
If what I post here is something that's offensive to you, delete it. Why should I censure myself just because you are such a cry-baby, a mama's boyish jerk, petty, frightened, and only more proud sucking your religious lollipop as a dumbstruck college-educated lawyer with your small brain stuck in mediocrity? Religion Against the Philippines
We keep being told that religion, whatever it's imperfections, at least instills morality. On every side, there is conclusive evidence that the contrary is the case and that faith causes people to be more mean, more selfish, and perhaps above all, more stupid. - Christopher Hitchens . . . Oh My Dear Mr. Christopher Hitchens, in the Philippines, nothing but religion has made us Filipinos poor and sick as a people, and nothing but religion has made our country dirty and backward. The religion more known as Catholicism. Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

The Philippines is My Country
The Philippines is my country and getting rid of the insanity behind Christianity out of my country is my religion... I said it before, I say it again: what should hold us together as a people is not some mysterious silly divinity up out there, but only love for our country down here...In this way, I want my country to be under the guidance of science and technology, and no more inspired by silly prayers under a sick theology. . . The Harm Done by Religion in the Philippines
"Religion does three things quite effectively: Divides people, Controls people, Deludes people.”- - - Carlespie Mary Alice McKinney . .
In the Philippines, as the only Catholic country in Asia, religion has also done another great harm; IT HAS MADE US FILIPINOS HISTORICALLY FAMOUS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD AS THE SICK MAN OF ASIA!... Thanks specially to our college-educated religious lawyers and more famous bible morons like Bro. Apollo Quiboloy of the Appointed Son of God who sounds more and more on TV like he is the DISAPPOINTED SON OF A VERY DISAPPOINTED GOD!... Not to mention the other famous religious morons of the Philippines - Bro. Eli Soriano, Bro. Mike Velarde, Bro. Eddie Villanueva, Bro. Bo Sanchez, and Bro. Eduardo Manalo, etc. - all enriching themselves by selling what millions of frightened Filipinos continue to be buying - Jesus. As if Jesus, a Jewish born person, already saved his own Jewish people - the Chosen People of God. So that Jesus also has the time to save the Filipinos existing in this only Catholic country in Asia. This, while the whole wide world continues to be wracked with troubles due to, if not because of other sick religious beliefs and sick values. Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

The Universe We Observe
"The universe we observe has precisely the properties we should expect if there is, at bottom, no design, no purpose, no evil, no good, nothing but blind, pitiless indifference." . . . Richard Dawkins . . . Oh My dear Richard Dawkins, with all due respect may I add that the universe we observe also looks purposeless, aimless, directionless, and rudderless... God Covers Our Sins
"Whenever we're ready to uncover our sins, God is ready to cover them." Philippine Star, Oct.31, 2014 ... Wow God, haven't you far more important things to do other than just to play silly games with the sins of our corrupt government officials getting more corrupt for the glory of Jesus in heaven as He is in the Philippines? The Economists and the Theologians
"An economist is an expert who will know tomorrow only the things he predicted yesterday didn't happen today." Lawrence J. Peter ...Well, at least the economists never claim that they are inspired by God. . . So how come the theologians of centuries ago always inspired by God knew nothing of the existence of God just exactly like the theologians of this century inspired by the same God also know nothing of the existence of God. . . Life's Purpose
“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” -- Ralph Waldo Emerson - - Oh My dear Ralph Waldo Emerson, you are 100 per cent right on target. With me, however, ever since I got expelled out high school some 65 years ago - I began to be an avid reader of books in order to developed my thoughts in order to provoke the thought of others. . . WOW God, Are you Really that Petty
"Those who put their trust in God will never be disappointed." Philippine Star, Oct. 27, 2014 . . . Wow God! Don't you have better things to do with your existence other just to wait for those who trust you? What if, like me, I have no trust in you in any way whatsoever! What then? I get to be eternally damned in hell forever? Is that how petty you are as an Almighty, all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-loving God? Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

Atheistic Growth as a People and Scientific Development as a Nation
“The people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do.” Steve Jobs. . . Oh my dear Steve Jobs, in the Philippines, a Filipino crazy enough to think he can change the Philippines is thought to be insane, sick, and insulting, and full
of hate - me! . . . Well, I am already 77 years old, a senior citizen, and am ready to go. I only hope that after I am gone, dead, and buried - others will carry on what I can no longer do in trying to reform the Philippines into a more decent country to live in, think for, and work at. . . I LOVE TO HATE
I imagine one of the reasons people cling to their hates so stubbornly is because they sense, once hate is gone, they will be forced to deal with pain. . . James A. Baldwin . . . Oh my dear Baldwin, you are right on target. . . for my part, I'd rather endlessly hate the lies and deceptions; hate the illusions and delusions; hate injustices, poverty, and political corruption; not to mention I also love to hate social insanity than be forced to deal with pain once again by being not the master, but the stupid victim of religion as a frightened Catholic that I once was as a boy in school.
