Religious Morons

There are so many kinds of religious morons. My favorite is the one who proudly reveals his contempt for man’s ability to think.
There are also those who did not make wrong decisions, but that indecision has taken over their empty, if not misguided, rudderless - lives. Indeed, they know not even whether they are coming or going. They have allowed one kind of fear to dominate their lives, and so all other kinds of fears dominate them we well. Poch Suzara

Imagine

Imagine a God who loves you much only because you fear him much. What could be more silly and insane? It is incredible to believe that a creator, able to create billions of galaxies but nevertheless enjoys fear from the religious morons on this speck of dust called earth. As if the creator were that emotionally insecure? At any rate, it must be a wonderful feeling to fear God. After all, fear is most flattering to God. Fear inspires God to forgive our sins and crimes and indeed forgive our stupidity especially the kind that promotes social and political insanity. Poch Suzara

Morally Bankrupt Pinoys

Mary was the Jewish mother of God. Jesus was the Jewish son of God. All the apostles of Jesus were Jewish apostles. God himself was a Jewish God.
It is, in this way, that it is not incredible to believe that millions of Pinoys contribute daily to continue moving the Philippines backward by referring to their stupid bible as their guidance.
In the meantime, we Pinoys are so entrenched in moral bankruptcy in that we could not even pride ourselves with inventing our own unique family of Asiatic Gods. Hoy! Gising na! Poch Suzara

Biblical Insanity

Millions of readers do not agree with each other as to what’s written in the bible. How could they? The inspired bible authors themselves do not agree with each other. I say, it is time to throw your bible out the window.
No doubt, it is true, there is just about something in the bible for everybody; except the Revealed Truth. It has not yet been revealed to anybody.
In the meantime, it is hard to believe that a creator of the billions of galaxies comprising trillions of stars could inspire sick authors to write the sick bible for the beings called Filipinos living in this speck of dust called as the Philippines on this planet earth! Poch Suzara

Cain and Abel

God was nowhere to be found to assist Adam Eve to raise and educate Cain and Abel to grow up like decent men and be creative and independent as individuals. After all, Cain and Abel were the first grandsons of God. Too bad God had to be attending to more important matters. He was too busy as a divinity screwing around with deviltry. To think Cain murdered his only brother Abel. The crime was caused by deviltry as inspired by divinity. What kind of holy hogwash is genesis all about as a basis for religiosity? Poch Suzara

Losers, Failures, and Fools

Jesus declared that the first will be the last, that the weak will be the strong, and that the fools will be the wise.
Jesus was not a friend of the victor, strong, or the wise. On the contrary, Jesus was the prophet of the losers, failures, and the fools. Is it any wonder that Jesus got crucified on the cross by the losers, failures, and fools - all created in the image and likeness of God! Poch Suzara

The Study of Nothing

It is ironic that theology has always been the study of nothing. The most that the theologians have accomplished was to give birth to atheism. Indeed, we atheists do not and can not believe, love, worship, or adore the existence of nothing. But credit must be due the theologians. Their grand policy is to blow hot and to blow cold, to afflict and to console, to frighten and to reassure. Everybody’s impressed; except the atheists. We think the theologians could have lived a more creative life had they been, instead, clowns in a circus, or comedians on a stage. Poch Suzara

The Greatest Discovery

What changed our world from ancient to a modern one was due to the greatest discovery of all time: human beings can alter their lives by altering their childish attitudes and by discarding their infantile beliefs.

In the meantime, it is the peculiarity of the mindless and the thoughtless to prefer the unknown, the fabulous, the wonderful, the incredible, even the terrible to that which is clear, simple, honest, and true. Poch Suzara

More Impressive

It would be more impressive if we could be honest enough to admit that our beliefs have little to do with reason, but with more on faith which is the enemy of reason. Indeed, reason and faith are opposites, two mutually exclusive terms: there is no reconciliation or common ground between them. Faith is belief without, or in spite of, reason. Thus, Christian faith is not only faith beyond reason but must also be against reason. In the meantime, reason is not one tool you can choose to grab from a tool box. Reason is the entire tool box itself. Poch Suzara

Wars

Wars have mostly been about the rich getting richer, and to get the poor poorer. Among the rich are the religious organizations. They thrive on hate and poverty and violence for the glory of God in heaven or for the glory of Allah in paradise or for the greedy and insane munition makers of America fully supported and endorsed by an insane government - the US government. Matthew

“Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.” Matt. 10:30
Matthew could have made more sense had he been a circus clown and not a bible writer. It is laughable to believe that a God inspired Matthew to write this kind of spiritual hogwash. Golly, we live on a speck of dust called earth lost in the immensity of space and time. Human life is but a split second long, a wink of an eye, a flash in the pan compared to the life of the universe. But, according to Matthew, the Lord seems to welcome his own anxiety as long human stupidity will last as long as infinity? Poch Suzara

Conscious Fear

In this country, as soon as you are born, the elderly around you, especially the priesthood industry, immediately take advantage of your unconscious fear. They indoctrinate you to learn to be conscious of fear for the rest of your life. Thus, from birth to death, we experience mostly the fear of life itself. It is, in this way, that we would sooner take the cowardly road to follow the insanity of others by neglecting our own courageous path towards the achievement of our own sense of humanity. Adolf Hitler

Hitler was an insane victim of his own heroes – such heroes like the German philosopher Nietzsche who wrote about the super race of men to rule the world.
In the world of philosophy, Nietzsche was a disgrace, not a grace. He believed not in world peace through love, but in world war through hate. Too bad war has never, as yet, solved anything except the motivation for the declaration of a next war.
If you want peace, prepare for war? On the contrary, if you want peace, prepare for peace! Poch Suzara

As an Atheist

As an atheist I have no interest in the system of reward or punishment. I am happy enough living my life without any sense of heaven as a place of reward or hell as a place of punishment. My sense of morality has nothing to do with pleasing divine grace. I am more interested with the growth and maturity via common decency of the human race. Poch Suzara

Happiness

If happiness depends upon the power of thought, then I dare say that most people suffer from unhappiness. Especially as they are consistently thoughtless, if not perpetually mindless, not to mention perennially heartless. Poch Suzara

Jesus in Our Hearts

In grade school, high school, and in college at De la Salle University nothing was put into our hearts except the love for Jesus who preached: - “love not this world, neither the things that are in the world.” It explains why we do not love our country, and why, indeed, we are a nation of failures and losers still believing and waiting for the Second Coming of the Lord. Poch Suzara

Poor Filipino People

How could we Filipinos ever mature as a people and develop as a nation when we have been taught to believe that there is a better country to go to after birth, and that there is a better world to come after death? Indeed, what can be expected of a people enjoying only the freedom of Christianity, by Christianity, and for Christianity? Poch Suzara

Holy Books

One may know all the messages written in the bible, or the Quran, or in the Talmud, but continue to remain shamelessly ignorant of science and the scientific way of thinking. After all, what exactly do sacred writings have anything to do with the growth and maturity of the human mind and heart that’s so much needed to straighten the mess out of this God-forsaken world due to stupid religion? Poch Suzara

I love Bertrand Russell

I love Bertrand Russell not for turning mathematics upside-down and logic inside-out, but for never threatening me with punishment in hell-fire if I did not agree with any of his writings. In fact, Russell encouraged me to disagree with him and to think for myself; especially in the task of seeking the truth as no one, as Russell himself admitted, has as yet found the truth.

Russell wrote: All human knowledge is uncertain, inexact, and partial. I disagree and ask: what’s so uncertain, inexact, and partial about the truth that we are all born troubled, sick, and dying? Indeed, except for Melchisedec in the bible, there is no such thing as health. There has never been any one who lived anywhere on this planet who enjoyed everlasting  lasting health! Poch Suzara

Our Troubled Selves

There is the good side and the bad side in everything; except in religion - there is only the bad side. Religion damages the minds and hearts of children to grow up with so much fear and deep in ignorance to be unable to help remedy the world so full of hatred that grows out of fear.
Consider this painful fact: whether rich or poor, each and every one of us are born troubled. Indeed, as soon as we are born, we begin to die. There is no such thing as health. Health is a myth. In the meantime, if religion were to have its good side, it must be in the business of alleviating these horrors not with faith in human stupidity, but simply by facing and changing reality. After all, reality is malleable; not inscrutable. The science of medicine in this respect has achieved wonders! Poch Suzara
