Woman as written in the bible is depicted as the main cause of the Fall of Man, and why men are corrupt and depraved. This is obvious in the Old and in the New Testament. When Jesus, however, said, love one another, he was referring to men, not to women. Poch Suzara

maybe the mary movement is the catholic church' way of apologizing to womankind. (by elevating mary an alleged virgin to some kind of goddess status)
And i always wondered why the ten commandments weren't meant for women.
Having Jesus being born of a woman, instead of just coming down from heaven as a human instantly, depicts mainly the importance of a woman. When Jesus chose to firstly reveal His resurrected self to a woman, instead to His chosen group of men called the Apostles, marks the significance of women. One other biblical account is the conversation between the Samaritan Woman (the Woman from Samaria) and Jesus when He actually revealed to her that He is the Messiah (John 4:26). There are numerous accounts in the bible that tells us Jesus interacting with women ( Matt. 9:20; Luke 7:37; 1 Cor. 11:1–16).

Well, Jesus called this Samaritan woman a dog before converting her.( He answered, 'I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.' But she came and knelt before him saying, 'Lord, help me.' He answered, 'It is not fair to take the children's food and throw it to the dogs.' She said, 'Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumbs that fall from their master's table.' - Matthew 15:21-28:
