We are all felt insulted by the US Ambassador Harry K. Thomas Jr for publicly saying
that "40% of foreign male tourists visit the Philippines just for sex."
This is, indeed, an ugly truth and the truth hurts. Well, if we Filipinos continue
hurting as a people, it is mainly because in the Philippines - the only Christian country in Asia - the "truth" especially the "revealed truth" goes marching on!
I am willing to bet my last bottom dollar that if, Ambassador Harry K. Thomas had instead declared that "40 % of the foreign tourists visit the Philippines just to pray to Mary, mother of God, to pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our
death - we would all immediately start a mass movement to get US Ambassador Harry K. Thomas be canonized an American saint even before he hits the bucket. Poch Suzara

I am a female and I agree with the US Ambassador Henry K. Thomas. I've been travelling around the Philippines because of my job and I've seen to many male tourist with young filipinas (even age 16) having fun and acting like everything is all normal. I'm tired of this crap! Many people in the West think that Filipina's are whore because of the famous sex tours and prostitutes. Go to Sabang beach in Mindoro and Red Light District in Makati and you know what I am talking about. It's like everywhere in the Philippines, we always have whore's in the waiting. Its time to change this and time for the Philippine government to really do something, seriously do something. Act Now!!!
