So far as I can remember, there is not one word in the Gospels in praise of intelligence." ... Bertrand Russell . . . As for me, as a serious reader of the bible myself, I have noticed that there is neither a testament of any kind about the existence of germs, viruses, and bacteria in the small down here; nor a testament of any kind about the existence of the trillions of stars comprising the billions of galaxies in the large out there. Yes it does! The Bible may not use the word “intelligent,” but it employs other words like wisdom, knowledge, and being sober minded. It commands believers to grow in knowledge of His word and his world. It tells us to live wisely for the days are evil. Before powerful microscopes came into use, the Bible already gave instructions how to prevent the spread of diseases by washing hands and bathing. It also talked about isolating those who had contagious diseases. Before the use of powerful telescopes, when on a dark night only about three thousand stars can be seen by the naked eye, the Bible already spoke of myriads of stars, as many as the sands on the seashore(Genesis 22:17). As a serious Bible reader, you should know that.
