I Asked college-educated Individuals

Years ago, I asked college-educated individuals out of La Salle, Ateneo, San beda, Letran, UST, Assumption colleges, University of the Philippines, Miriam colleges, AIM, etc. This year, I am asking them again: Which God inspired which authors to write which holy bible? There are more than 57 different versions of the holy bible sold in bookstores today. In the meantime, there is only one version of the Multiplication Table - the perfect model of truth, precise and certain, and free from all kinds of conflicting interpretations; even free from silly contradictions! As a matter of historical fact, no nation has ever declared war on another nation for not believing that 2 plus 2 equals 4. But people living other countries have been bombed to death for believing that God is not a Catholic or because God is Islamic or because they believe that God is a Jewish lunatic who has always been historically bombastic. Why Childen in Foreign Countries Hate America

In 1996, then-Ambassador Madeleine Albright was asked about reports that 500,000 Iraqi children had died as a result of US-imposed sanctions. She replied: "I think this is a very hard choice, but the price - we think the price is worth it." Former UN official, Denis Halliday, said US sanctions on Iraq met the formal definition of genocide: "We are now in there responsible for killing people, destroying their families, their children, allowing their older parents to die for lack of basic medicines. We're in there allowing children to die who were not born yet when Saddam Hussein made the mistake of invading Kuwait." The millions of Iraqi children who survived the death of their parents while the US Air Force bombed Iraq all have grown up hating America. The US military-Industrial-University Complex, however, love the development. There is now more excuse to declare war against these grown-up Iraqis too in the future for hating America. Today in America, presidential candidates still debate on how to achieve not intellectual growth as a people, but only more of the same old story - economic growth as a nation. In the meantime, the majority of Americans live under the threat of bankruptcy on the one hand, and on the other hand - live under a culture of hate, fear, and violence. Oh yes, Americans as a people are armed with private weapons against each other; America as a nation is also armed to the teeth against any other nation not willing to submit to imperialism more known as American capitalism; or, to kleptocracy, not to democracy. Consider crime statistics hourly, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly in America: Every 22.2 seconds - One violent crime occurs Every 30.9 minutes - One murder occurs Every 5.7 minutes - One forcible rape occurs Every 1.2 minutes - One robbery occurs Every 36.6 seconds - One aggravated assault occurs Every 3.2 seconds - One property crime occurs Every 14.4 seconds - One burglary occurs Every 4.8 seconds - One larceny-theft occurs Every 26.4 seconds - One motor vehicle theft occurs 2010 FBI Crime Clock Stats An estimated five out of six people will be victims of either completed or attempted violent crimes at least once in their lives (Koppel, 1987). One out of four women will be sexually assaulted on a college campus (Hirsch,1990). Antonio Novello, the former Surgeon General,has estimated that domestic violence kills 58,000 people every five years, the same number lost in the Vietnam War (Gardner, 1992). In the United States, there are over 3,400 animal protection shelters and only about 1,200 shelters for battered women (Buel, 1994) Findings from The National Women's Study reveal that rape victims compared to non-crime victims were: 5.3 times more likely to have used prescription drugs non-medically (14.7 percent vs.2.8 percent); 3.4 times as likely to have used marijuana (52.2 percent vs.15.5 percent); 6 times more likely to have used cocaine (15.5 percent vs 2.6 percent); 10.1 times more likely to have used hard drugs other than cocaine (12.1 percent vs. 1.2 percent); and 6.4 times more likely to have used hard drugs or cocaine (19.2 percent vs.3 percent). Additionally, rape victims were 4.1 times more likely than non-crime victims to have contemplated suicide and 13 times more likely to have actually made a suicide attempt (Ibid ). Faith in Blind Faith

Due to faith in blind faith frightened into us during formative years at home and in school it is understandable that we can neither see nor can feel the horrors of religion. Religion harms children, adults, nations, culture, and society as a whole because the ideas behind it are not only irrational, but also promotes the feeling of personal inadequacy and anxiety indoctrinated into us during our formative years in school.. A child should be permitted to grow freely away from restrictive and dehumanizing ideas which are those of religion. Basically, religion is anti-life, anti-women, anti-sexuality, anti-reason, anti-reality, and anti-science. And these horrors are a heavy load to lay on a child who learns to follow in blind faith the strong theme that rewards poverty, submissiveness, sickness, or anything that would place such a child into an inferior position. By the same token, self-esteem, self-reliance, self-sufficiency, competence, intelligence, or anything that would put a child on a superior position is penalized or discouraged. God loves the humble, the meek, the frightened, the inferior; but God is jealous of the functional human intellect. Man should never be self-sufficient lest he offend God. This sets the stage for God in the role of the superior and man in the role of the inferior. God is the supreme being who needs servility and obedience to satisfy his egocentric qualities. Man must play the role of the inferior and as a reward for a submissive, unhappy, unrewarding life - he is promised that if he is good, a good for nothing dormat on this earth, he is assured of eternal salvation in heaven with God. This reward, however, is never defined. If a man is to earn God's favor, he indeed must live not with dignity, but with humility, and above all, he must not be happy. This is crucial in that to be happy might invoke envy from God, and man must live in fear of this envy. I said it before, I say it again: the horrors of religion in general, Catholicism in particular, have kept us filipinos traditionally poor as a people and historically backward as a nation. I say, it is time to dump organized religion out of our country. Instead of silly religiosity, let us enjoy intelligent SPIRITUALITY of which in its highest reality is to QUESTION EVERYTHING. Millions of believers are Ignorant of Bible Contents

The Bible is the most-printed and most freely distributed book in the world, with many hundreds of millions of copies believed to be in existence. The bible books sold in bookstores have always been, at any time, a best sellers. Unfortunately, the bible is considered holy, a book written by inspired authors of God -therefore it need not be read. Its verses need only to be taken for granted; especially as expounded by the priest on the pulpit during mass on sundays or by the evangelical hypocrites on TV during weekdays. The big question is why isn't the bible read as any book should be read for its messages, if any? It is simply because properly and thoroughly read the bible is the most effective way to learn how to become an atheist! Indeed, only scholars and atheists are more familiar with bible contents. Millions upon millions of believers have yet to seriously read and study the bible. A book that is full of myths, legends, contradictions, inconsistencies, absurdities, obscenities, vulgarities, atrocities, lies and deceptions. In order to get to that conclusion, however, one must only seriously read the bible from cover to cover. No extra sources or inspirations are necessary. If we turn the bible on page one we will find two completely different descriptions of the same event - creation of man. In these descriptions in which various things were created is completely different. This is more than enough to conclude that one of these descriptions must be a lie. So we have found that the first page in the bible is a lie. The rest are full of completely different, mutually exclusive descriptions of the same event. Using the above resoning for each of these pairs of descriptions we can conclude that at least one of the descriptions can not be true. And this is how we can make the conclusion that Bible is book written by inspired lunatics. If authors inspired by logic can reveal the truth behind the multiplication table, why couldn't authors inspired by God reveal as well the truth behind the revelation table? As a matter of fact, insane messages written in the bible are about how life is not perfect as it is a defect. Therefore for the sake of revelation, not evolution - what we must seek is not reconstruction, but only obliteration; especially for the sake of gaining after death eternal salvation. The bible is the book of church - the Jewish church stands behind the Old Testament. The Christian church stands behind the New Testament. Behind both testaments, however, stand the priesthood industry. In the meantime, religious politicians are "voted" as the most admired in our poor and backward country. Even the highest court, the Supreme court, cringe before the power of organized religion. Our scientific community is so cowed it dares not challenge the religious liars that make for our sick society. Educators, especially college and university professors are paralyzed in fear, not even hoping to confront the sick monster known as organized religion keeping us aimless as a people and rudderless as a nation. Oh yes, millions of our citizens, by and large, remain religious illiterates. The bible is accepted but not read. Yet, on this book, as the alleged word of God, rests the entire superstructure of our faith, beliefs, and values that inspired the birth of the Dark Ages during the 5th century. I asked it before, I ask it again: After the college educated theologians have proved with evidences that God of the bible exists here, there, and everywhere - how would such information improve the lives of millions of spiritually malnourished, culturally impoverished, and indeed, materially pulverized Filipinos in the Philippines - the only Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century? Adam and Eve Were no ATHEISTS

The Filipino - Poorest people in Asia

According to a UN-Habitat report, over 20 million Filipinos in the Philippines live in slums, and in Metro Manila alone. There are more than 800,000 Pinays working as prostitutes in Metro Manila. Many of them are underage. In the meantime, because we have no national health care system an average of 52 Pinays die every 24 hours from pregnancy-related causes. According to the Asian Development Bank, over 25 million Filipinos don’t have access to the basic sanitation afforded by toilet facilities; another 13 million don’t have proper water resources - without plumbing or communal water taps, many rely on creek water and deep wells which can often be unsafe for human consumption. Poverty cannot be measured in pesos and centavos alone. Poverty must be viewed from a larger, deeper, if not a wider perspective: social, political, spiritual, cultural, educational, environmental; and indeed, poverty in science and technology. We are, indeed, the poorest people in Asia. Consider: We are rudderless as people; directionless as a nation. We have no love for our country. None are rich in spirit. We have no respect for law and order. We have no sense of the future of our nation's children. In brief, we have nothing great going on for us Filipinos - except God, and his Son Jesus; Mary, the Mother of God; and of course the Pope who is not even a Filipino. Surely, millions of Filipinos feel God has blessed them. In fact, we are taught in schools, colleges, and universities to always believe what Jesus declared: "BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO ARE POOR IN SPIRIT, FOR THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN." In the ultimate analysis, millions of us filipino share something great in common together: For the love of Jesus up there, we are all poor in spirit down here! In the meantime, schools, colleges, and universities teach millions upon millions of Filipinos to defend and protect the Philippines not that she is a free and independent as a Republic, but that she is, more than anything else, historically, a Catholic country. For my part, as one born in the Philippines some 79 years ago, for love of my country, I would rather be atheistic. I do not care to be a Catholic.
