Science as Critical Inquiry

Science is lively with critical inquiry. Religion is the exact opposite: it is deadly with uncritical piety. How can the two therefore reconcile and find harmony in the search of the truth? Indeed, instead of wasting time believing that science can one day reconcile with religion, I think it would be more creative if we can all help by exploring the possibilities of how silly religion can first reconcile with other silly religions?
