How could we Filipinos intelligently grow up as a people and intelligently develop as a nation when we are still in the childish habit of praying daily to God to give us this day our daily bread, and still praying daily to Mary, Mother of God, to pray for us stupid sinners, now and at the hour of our stupid death, amen?
