Atheist/Scientist Carl Sagan

Listen to these words of this famous atheist/scientist – the late Carl Sagan. In his best-seller book COSMOS, he wrote: “Was there a tiny universe, devoid of all matter, and then the matter suddenly created from nothing? How does that happen? In many cultures it is customary to answer that God created the universe out of nothing. But this is mere temporizing. If we wish to courageously pursue the question, we must, of course ask next where did God come from? And if we decide this to be unanswerable, why not save a step and decide that the origin of the universe is an unanswerable question? Or, if we say that God has always existed, why not save a step and conclude that the universe has always existed?” Poch Suzara

we all just need faith.
what, do you want to believe just what your two eyes can see??

i may be not fully educated just yet, but, with due respect, i pity you for believing what that author says. it seems a little narrow-minded. can it be not that we were created without that knowledge of where we came from? isnt He supposed to be a Supreme Being after all?

i don't know, but even after reading most of your writings, i have not even a slight doubt on the existence of God.
i think that you should reflect more. forgive me if i offended you in any way, but i can't just read all of these without saying anything.

My dear, be happy and glad that you have a little thought inside your brain that I, a high school dropout, have managed, somehow, to provoke. Imagine if you are totally mindless, if not thoughtless, how would you appreciate what exactly I am trying to convey to all of you college educated morons.
So God exists, so what? Do you really believe that God can help the Filipino grow up as a decent people and develop as a decent nation, huh??
My dear, forget faith. The man of faith is like a drunkard who clings to a lamppost for support, not illumination. Poch Suzara

yes! i do believe. i just don't know how to explain it but i also believe that everything happens for a reason. and that everything that happens to us are a cause of our actions.

and no matter what you say, i won't forget my faith. i believe in God and that will never change. i may not be a perfect Christian but my faith never waivers.

i became interested in talking to you because i've never met an atheist before and i, somehow, want to listen to your side too.

Dear Curious,

We are all born ignorant, not stupid. We are made stupid by education.
Indeed, for the most part, our education has been more about WHAT TO BELIEVE AND not about HOW TO THINK.
