The Criminal versus the Insane

If a man would follow, today, the teachings of the Old Testament he would be a criminal. If he would strictly follow the teachings of the New, he would be insane. Robert G. Ingersoll... This is right on target. And if I may add, in the schools, colleges, and universities owned and operated by the Catholic church - we Filipinos have been and still are being frightened to believe and to follow the teachings of the holy bible. That is why, life in general in this poor and backward country of ours - we must compete to be the criminal or we end up to be the victim of the criminals; especially as we also have been educated to believe that God loves the Filipinos and loves the Philippines even more being the only Christian country in Asia since 500 years ago!
