The tree of Knowledge

According to the bible, Satan wanted us to eat from the tree of knowledge, but God wanted us to stay Ignorant?

For my part, I ask: How did it matter either way? Forget God. Forget Satan. The intelligent question to ask, however, is where, in fact, is that tree of knowledge located to be found on this earth today? For Christ's sake, even the Catholic theologians haven't the foggiest where in hell is that tree existing! Poch Suzara

God didn't want us to stay ignorant.. He wanted us to have a relationship with Him, and even Adam and Eve didn't really have the ideal relationship with Him. To get to the point of a real relationship, they HAD to eat the fruit.. He knew they were going to "disobey" Him. It's sort of paradoxical. But the Bible from a literary standpoint is absolutely beautiful. Even if you don't agree or believe in it.

Oh, and there was a flood after that remember?? So I guess we won't ever find the tree. Darn it. lol

Wowowee Shelby, All the trees throughout the world survived as they are still with us today in this world; except THE TREE OF KNOWLEDGE got drowned with the rest of mankind save Noah and his family of 8 people?

Now I ask you: Why should God tell us how to raise our own children when He himself drowned His own children? Poch

I'm not saying I know all the answers. I don't. And we can argue back and forth about a bunch of stuff that we really won't or don't know the answers to. I'm not sure that the trees "survived"... I mean the seeds did obviously... but anyway. The bottom line of the Bible is to love everyone.

The flood happened because (basically) the angels or "Sons of God" as it is written in Hebrew which meant "Angels" came down to Earth and married women.. which was an abomination to God and they were punished for that as we read later (this was equivalent to bestiality)... Everyone was wicked because God gave humanity free will. He doesn't MAKE people follow Him or do what is right... it is a choice. He didn't MAKE Adam or Eve not eat the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge... it was their choice. God HATED the fact that His children were sooo wicked. He hated having to do that. And it is later written that He will never again wipe out civilization like that. (Genesis 8:21)

Like I said, I don't know all the answers. I do know though, that God takes care of those who love Him. I've had many miracles happen in my life that are without a doubt from God. I am not nieve though. I have experienced the horrid and treacherous part of life. I have questioned many things. I know bad things happen in the world.. but I also know that God is good.. even though it may not seem like it sometimes.

I wish you joy and peace. :)

If there is anything you would like me to pray about for you, I will certainly do that. Even if you think it won't make a difference. I am living proof that it does. God does care. and He does love. He healed me of fibromyalgia and severe food allergies... both which have no cures.

Love, Shelby
