Impeachment Trial to defend our culture of Corruption

Only in the Philippines: a top lawyer, an expert on the laws of our land, a person
legally competent, with integrity and probity, and judicially independent gets appointed by the president of our Republic to be country's top magistrate - the chief justice of the Supreme Court.

Along the way, however, he is accused of violating public trust, acquiring ill-gotten wealth, failure to disclose to the public his statement of assets and liabilities, etc - in all
8 charges filed against him. Instead of defending himself in the Impeachment trial, he hires a battery of the most expensive lawyers of the land to defend his case. Presumably for the sake of "due process" to defend and protect our culture of corruption, not in aid of new legislation precisely to get rid of corruption out of our sick country. Poch Suzara

Cheers!
