The Dalai Lama was asked what surprised him the most; he said “Man, because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived.” Oh my dear Dalai Lama, it is truly regrettable, nay, despicable, that we have never heard about how great a man you are in the schools, colleges, and universities in our country; especially as own and operated by the Catholic church in the Philippines - the only Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century.
