Dark Ages in the Philippines

There was a time when every single man, woman, and child in this wide world believed, loved, and had total faith God. Historians refer to it as the DARK AGES. It lasted for 1,000 years - from the 5th to the 15th century. Notice, however, how the DARK AGES still shines very brightly in the Philippines! The only Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century. Indeed, today, in this already 21st century, every Pinoy and Pinay, especially as they are the products of schools, colleges, and universities - have all been frightened to believe that for all that is wrong with the Filipino as a people; and, for all that is wrong with the Philippines as a nation - we must never blame divinity or deviltry or Christianity. We must only blame our misguided Free Will and that if there is anything utterly worthless in this world - it is the struggle for self-respect as a people, and to earn dignity as a nation - especially in the here and now terrestrially. Indeed, that there is only that better life to come after death in a better world with God in heaven! Thus, in the Philippines, as the Sick Man of Asia, we still live in the Dark Ages. To think that among the Sick Man of Asia are the college-educated Pinoys and Pinays, with PhDs to boot, so happy and proud of the fact that 99 per cent of the population of the Philippines still believe, love, and worship the same old God so famous during the Dark Ages. In the Philippines

In the Philippines, via schools, colleges, and universities - teach that the only way we can make God joyous and happy up there is by making ourselves poor, stupid, and miserable down here. It is otherwise more known as having "faith in God." Poch Suzara

I love and Repect Animals

"I think I could turn and live with the animals, they are so placid and self contained; I stand and look at them long and long. They do not sweat and whine about their condition; They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins;
They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God; Not one is dissatisfied-not one is demented with the mania of owning things; Not one kneels to another, nor his kind that lived thousands of years ago; Not one is responsible or industrious over the whole earth." Walt Whitman

For my part, I love and respect animals on land and in the sea - they have no army or navy or Air Force to go to war against each other for truth, justice, democracy, and the animal way of life. Poch Suzara

The Criminal versus the Insane

If a man would follow, today, the teachings of the Old Testament he would be a criminal. If he would strictly follow the teachings of the New, he would be insane. Robert G. Ingersoll... This is right on target. And if I may add, in the schools, colleges, and universities owned and operated by the Catholic church - we Filipinos have been and still are being frightened to believe and to follow the teachings of the holy bible. That is why, life in general in this poor and backward country of ours - we must compete to be the criminal or we end up to be the victim of the criminals; especially as we also have been educated to believe that God loves the Filipinos and loves the Philippines even more being the only Christian country in Asia since 500 years ago! I love and respect Atheism

Atheism is not something dreadful or insane, but precisely delightful and sane. After all, if God wanted us to believe in him from birth to death He would see to it that as we are born - coming out of mother's womb - not crying, but rather singing the Ave maria or praying the holy rosary, or even shouting "God Blessed America," not to mention already circumcised as circumcision as with Abraham was having a covenant with God. But then again, if God wanted us to believe in his existence, he should have already made mom's egg and Dad's sperm even before it met each other already baptized as Catholics. Poch Suzara

Imagine by John Lennon

Imagine there's no heaven It's easy if you try No hell below us Above us only sky Imagine all the people Living for today... Imagine there's no countries It isn't hard to do Nothing to kill or die for And no religion too Imagine all the people Living life in peace... You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will be as one Imagine no possessions I wonder if you can No need for greed or hunger A brotherhood of man Imagine all the people Sharing all the world... You may say I'm a dreamer But I'm not the only one I hope someday you'll join us And the world will live as one If I may add, imagine during our formative years in school we learn more, much more about the beauty of having intelligent imagination than there is to having faith in stupid indoctrination! My New Book

My new book - THE FAILURE OF EDUCATION UNDER THE SUCCESS OF CHRISTIANITY IN THE PHILIPPINES will soon to be published overseas. I have hopes of giving free copies
for our congressmen, senators, directors of the Department of Education, major newspaper editors; and, indeed, to De La Salle University professors.

Here are 238 pages of photos - evidences that prove our failure as a people and our failure as a nation under the traditional success of Christian values and beliefs in the Philippines - the only Christian country in Asia since the 16th century. Poch Suzara

CORRUPTION BY EDUCATION

We rave about corruption here and there and everywhere in our sick society. Corruption in government and private industries. Corruption in the military and in the priesthood industry. We hardly notice, however, where the seeds of corruption come from. It comes from our schools, colleges, and universities where they teach corrupt values and corrupt beliefs. We are, indeed, the products of a corrupt system of education. It’s the easiest thing to corrupt people. Take normal boys and girls during formative years in school and teach them to believe the following: . To believe that we are all guilty of sin until we have no more pride, dignity, and self-respect. . To believe that faith is always better than reason and that daily prayer is the daily solution to daily problems. . To believe that the saints of God are more worthy of emulation than to spread the ideals of human brotherhood. . To believe that it is needless to improve social conditions because there is a better life to come after death with God in heaven. . To believe that it is needless to save our minds and hearts for the kingdom of man as what is crucial is to save our souls for the next life in the kingdom of God. . To believe that the voice of the people is the voice of God. . To believe that the revealed truths need not be revealed as such truths are far beyond human understanding. . To believe that to love God’s mother up there is far more precious than to love our own mother and grandmothers down here. . To believe that God will always provide for those who are good, even if they were good for nothing. . To believe that pain, suffering, misery, poverty, and squalor are paths toward eternal happiness up there. Never mind the importance of the growth and maturity of our nation down here. . To believe that success in life can only be measured in terms of money. Never mind where the money comes from as long as we have plenty of it. . To believe finally, that no matter what sin or crime we commit, as long as we continue to believe and have faith, there will always be available from God at any time the forgiveness of sin and crime. Do this to millions of children in school and we have the ideal Christians. We also have criminals. A person who longer respects himself can no longer respect anything. One who does not love himself, cannot love anything. If he hates himself, he hates the world. It is in our system of education where we learn our sense of worthlessness and our unspeakable burden of sin; where the stage is set for corruption as a way of life. Indeed, the real cause of corruption in our sick society is not due to lack of discipline. On the contrary, it is discipline based upon sick values and sick beliefs. Owing to our system of education, we learned to have no faith in the best of the Filipino capacity to think. We do not love our country nor do we love fellow-Filipinos. We only love what makes for the Filipino incapacity especially as inspired by silly divinity always in cahoots with deviltry. We certainly live under a culture of corruption. The worst of it is the corruption of human intelligence. Corruption by education is certainly keeping the Filipino poor spiritually as a people and keeping the Philippines bankrupt morally as a nation. Poch Suzara

The Lies and Deceptions in the Bible

It is all so silly to be asked to: put your left hand on the bible and raise your right hand. repeat after me: Do you solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help you God? To begin with the bible has more to do with lies and deceptions than with truthful revelations. Listen to Thomas Paine and to Robert G. Ingersoll - two of the greatest American thinkers who properly read and thoroughly studied bible messages. Here below is what they discovered: "Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and tortuous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness with which more than half the Bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we call it the word of a demon than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind; and, for my part, I sincerely detest it, as I detest everything that is cruel." [Thomas Paine, The Age of Reason) "Somebody ought to tell the truth about the Bible. The preachers dare not, because they would be driven from their pulpits. Professors in colleges dare not, because they would lose their salaries. Politicians dare not. They would be defeated. Editors dare not. They would lose subscribers. Merchants dare not, because they might lose customers. Men of fashion dare not, fearing that they would lose caste. Even clerks dare not, because they might be discharged. And so I thought I would do it myself." "There are many millions of people who believe the Bible to be the inspired word of God -- millions who think that this book is staff and guide, counselor and consoler; that it fills the present with peace and the future with hope -- millions who believe that it is the fountain of law, Justice and mercy, and that to its wise and benign teachings the world is indebted for its liberty, wealth and civilization -- millions who imagine that this book is a revelation from the wisdom and love of God to the brain and heart of man -- millions who regard this book as a torch that conquers the darkness of death, and pours its radiance on another world -- a world without a tear." "They forget its ignorance and savagery, its hatred of liberty, its religious persecution; they remember heaven, but they forget the dungeon of eternal pain. They forget that it imprisons the brain and corrupts the heart. They forget that it is the enemy of intellectual freedom. Liberty is my religion. Liberty of hand and brain -- of thought and labor, liberty is a word hated by kings -- loathed by popes. It is a word that shatters thrones and altars -- that leaves the crowned without subjects, and the outstretched hand of superstition without alms. Liberty is the blossom and fruit of justice -- the perfume of mercy. Liberty is the seed and soil, the air and light, the dew and rain of progress, love and joy." - Robert G. Ingersoll "Properly read the bible is the most potent force for atheism invented by Man." Isaac Asimov

The First Cause Argument

The problem with the First Cause Argument lies in its assumption that an almighty creator exists, something that it is trying to prove. This is known as begging the question. Even a child can ask, “If God created the universe, then who created God?” If the answer is that God is uncaused, then the same answer could certainly be applied to the existence of the universe — that it is uncaused. Besides, which almighty creative god are we talking about? People using the First Cause Argument always make the assumption that their god did the creating. Catholics think God created the universe. Muslims think that Allah created the universe. Hindus think that Brahma did it. The Jews think that Yahweh did it. Most religions have a story of how their god created the universe. The idea of a god as creator of the universe makes for a fantastic tale, but it obviously tells us little about the characteristics of that god. What they are doing is explaining one mystery with a bigger mystery, and that is fallacious logic. Or, explaining the unknown by means of the unknowable. Thus, religion encourages stupidity, belittles one's sense for humanity, and inspires one to have faith in holy absurdity, eternally. Poch Suzara

The Great Religions of the World

All the 3 great religions of the world - Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have had all the opportunity to straighten the mess out in this world, but how could they since the mess in this world is mostly about Judaism, Christianity, and Islam?

Indeed, religion encourages stupidity, belittles humanity, and contributes nothing of value in this world except the concept that we must all love a silly God up there by hating one another as silly people down here! Poch Suzara

The Insanity behind Silly Prayer

When doctors pray, they pray to God to make people sick, not healthy. It’s the only way to stay in the medical profession. When lawyers pray, they pray to God to make people commit more crimes. It’s the only way they can make a success of their legal career. When politicians pray, they pray to God to keep the voters stay as ignorant as ever. It’s the only way politicians get elected or re-elected.When priests pray, they pray to God to make the faithful commit more sins. It’s the only way they can make more money for the Vatican bank. When policemen pray, they pray to God for more lawlessness and disorder in society. It’s the only way they can keep their job. When fire-fighters pray, they pray to God for houses and buildings to catch fire. It’s the only way they can keep their job as firemen of the Fire Department. When prostitutes pray, they pray to God for more cheating husbands or for more horny customers. It’s the only they can continue to earn a living. When amputees pray, they pray to God to have back their amputated arms or legs restored. But the amputees, despite the power of prayer, are still without legs or arms. When the rich pray, they pray to God for more riches. When the poor pray, they pray to God to get them out of poverty. I used to pray a lot too. More than 65 years ago, I often prayed to God to destroy Satan so that I can become less of a sinner. God did not give a hoot. Satan, still alive, did not give a hoot and endlessly carried on his Satanism. So I was happily left alone to give a serious hoot to strengthen the root of my atheism. Poch Suzara

HR Bill

Endless arguments are still ongoing whether the HR Bill will decrease poverty or increase prosperity in our country. The arguments are generating more heat than light. I say, whatever the case may be, the fact remains that the worst kind of poverty is the poverty of the mind and heart. It is what our schools, colleges, and universities stand for. The education business is one of the most profitable enterprises of the Catholic Church in the Philippines. Indeed, in our country, we are supposed to be schooled; only to be fooled to believe not in the joys of being well-informed as citizens of our country; but only to enjoy an everlasting faith in the Catholic divinity. The HR bill should generate nothing but social sanity. Otherwise, we will only enjoy more social insanity as inspired by a divinity always in cahoots with deviltry. It benefits no one except the Catholic Papacy as the head of the Vatican bank industry. Take a good look at our 15 to 25 year old blessed by God Pinays. More than 10 million of them are now single mothers. The Catholic Bishops have all the rights and privileges of inserting the holy rosary inside their uterus. Just to remind them that family planning and birth control measures is a sin against divinity. In the meantime, take a look also at our Pinoys – the corrupt fathers of these impregnated corrupt Pinays. They have nothing to worry about. They all have been taught to believe that God will provide for their abandoned children not necessarily in this world, but later in the next world to come! In the meantime, 3 babies are born every minute or about 1.5 million babies born yearly in the Philippines. This horror has nothing to do with the Philippines growing as a decent nation. It has more to do with the insane system of education always in cahoots with insane corruption keeping the Filipino sick as a people and the Philippines sick as a nation. I said it before, I say it again: if we Pinoys and Pinays have hopes of extricating ourselves out of our historical mess, we must first recognize and acknowledge how yesterday the religious destroyer of the mind and heart of our Jose Rizal is the same old religious destroyer of our minds and hearts today. Such destroyer is more popularly known in the Philippines as “Christianity.” Sincerely, Poch Suzara, pocolosuzara@gmail.com

Rizal Regretted and Retracted

Here below is an example of what it means when the Catholic church claimed that hours before he was executed to death Rizal regretted and "retracted" away from his values and principles as a fearless Filipino thinker and writer:

TO THE YOUNG WOMEN OF MALOLOS

Edited by: Poch Suzara

. . . . . I do not expect to be believed simply because it is I who am saying this; there are many people who do not listen to reason, but will listen only to those who hear the cassock or have gray hair or no teeth; but while it is true that the aged should be venerated, because of their travails and experience, yet the life I have lived, consecrated to the happiness of the people, add some years, though not many of my age. I do not pretend to be looked upon as an idol or fetish and to be believed and listened to with the eyes closed, the head bowed, and the arms crossed over the breast; what I ask of all is to reflect on what I tell him, think it over and sift it carefully through the sieve of reason.

First of all. That the tyranny of some is possible only through cowardice and negligence on the part of others.

Second. What makes one contemptible is lack of dignity and object fear of him who holds one in contempt.

Third. Ignorance is servitude, because as a man thinks, so he is; a man who does not think for himself and allowed himself to be guided by the thought of other is like the beast led by a halter.

Fourth. He who loves his independence must first aid his fellowman, because he who refuses protection to others will find himself without it; the isolated rib of the buri palm is easily broken, but not so the broom made of the ribs of the palm bound together.

Fifth. If the Filipina will not change her mode of being, let her rear no more children, let her merely give birth to them. She must cease to be the mistress of the home, otherwise she will unconsciously betray husband, child native land, and all.

Sixth. All men are born equal, naked, without bonds. God did not create man to be a slave; nor did he endow him with intelligence to have him hoodwinked, or adorn him with a reason to have him deceived by others. It is not fatuous to refuse to worship one's equal, to cultivate one's intellect, and to make use of reason in all things. Fatuous is he who makes a god of him, who makes brutes of others, and who strives to submit to his whims all that is reasonable and just.

Seventh. Consider well that kind of religion that they are teaching you. See whether it is the will of the God or according to the teachings of Christ that the poor be succored and those who suffer alleviated. Consider what they are preaching to you, the object of the sermon, what is behind the masses, novenas, rosaries, scapularies, images, miracles, candles, belts, etc., etc.; which they daily keep before your minds; ears and eyes; jostling, shouting, and coaxing, investigate whence they came and whether they go and then compare that religion with the pure religion of Christ and see whether the pretended observance of the life of Christ does not remind of the fat milk cow or the fattened pig, which is encouraged to grow fat not through love of the animal, but not grossly mercenary motives.

Let us, therefore, reflect and consider our situation and see how we stand. May these poorly written lines aid you in your good purpose and help you to pursue the plan you have initiated. “May your profit be greater than the capital investment,” and I shall gladly accept the usual reward of all who dare the people the truth. May your desire to educate yourself be crowned with success; may you in
the garden of learning gather not bitter, but choice fruit, looking well before you eat because on the surface of the globe all is deceit, and the enemy sows weeds in your seedling plot.

All this is the ardent desire of your compatriot.

JOSE RIZAL

p.s.

Rizal also wrote: " I would like the Filipinos to be Brilliant, Enlightened, Intelligent, and Progressive."

Well, for writing such dangerous thoughts - Catholic church got mad at his Rizal and had him arrested, jailed, and publicly executed.

Of course, if it is true that Rizal regretted and retracted before he was put to death - what the Catholic church was saying then as it is still saying today: "In order to be saved and rewarded by God in heaven, Filipinos must remain Frightened, Sick, Corrupt, and Faithful only to Jesus - the Savior of the Filipinos and the Philippines! - - - Poch Suzara

The Holy Bible Admits:

And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. Genesis 6:5

Well, I asked: was GOD a blind creator? How come GOD never saw wickedness in HIMSELF having created man in His own wicked image and wicked likeness?

In the meantime, I am a Filipino. I am not a Jew. When the holy bible, however, tells me to my face that the JEWS are the CHOSEN people of GOD, and that JESUS,
Son of a Jewish GOD, was born of JEWISH parents in a JEWISH land that was never even converted into a Catholic country - I asked: upon what foundation should schools, colleges, and universities in the Philippines teach millions of Filipino students to believe and to have faith not in a Filipino God, but only in a Jewish God?

I said it before to my La Salle preachers, and I say it again oday: Fuck that holy bible shit!

Human life on this earth is short, brief, and fleeting. But if we must die, let us die with self-respect and dignity. Let us die fearless. Indeed, let us die sober and not drunk with lies. Poch Suzara

My Dear Rogers

My dear Rogers, I was one very lucky student who fortunately got expelled out of La Salle high school. Believe me, my friend, the massacre the Japanese soldiers did in killing Christian Brothers and other Christians in La Salle compound during WW2 was tragic, but not tragic enough compared to the ever relentless KILLINGS of minds and hearts of hundreds of thousands of Filipino students in La Salle acquiring a so-called "education." You can still see the results on the Filipino way of life in general. Still slavish as a people; and still mentally malnourished as a nation today. Still praying daily to God to give us this day our daily bread and to lead us not into temptation. So that when the result of such devotion ends up as a nothing - the most we can do is to organize more prayer rallies to pray to Mary, Mother of God, to pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, amen. I ask: do any of you ever wonder why we are still spiritually poor as a people and still morally backward as a nation? Please take a good look at our sick system of catholic education! In La Salle - grade school, high school, and college students would utter these words several times in class daily: ST JOHN BAPTIST DE LA SALLE, PRAY FOR US, AND LEAVE JESUS IN OUR HEARTS, FOREVER. Well, is it any wonder that millions of Filipinos as products of such sick education have nothing but Jesus in their minds and hearts? Indeed, have nothing to look forward to except to that better world to come after death with God in heaven? Of course, at the same time, we are also often reminded that the Father of Jesus - God, any rate, WILL SOON PROVIDE? I asked: with what? With more spiritual garbage, if not with more ecclesiastical trash more referred to as BLESSINGS FROM GOD? I said it before, I say it again: take a serious look at our politicians in and out of government: they are frightened men and women as stupid believers, and even more useless as citizens of our country in desperate for courageous and intelligent thinkers! The Greatest Heroes in Philippine History

Philippine Daily Inquirer Letters to the Editors

Dear Sirs: The Greatest Heroes in Philippine History

For his courageous defense of the cause of Filipino priesthood, Father Burgos earned for himself the name "Champion of the Cause of the Filipino Clergy." He incurred, however, the hatred of the Spanish Catholic friars. Thus, when the Cavite mutiny broke out in 1872, the Spanish authorities arrested him together with Father Gomez and Father Zamora, charging them of having incited the revolution. After a mock trial at Fort Santiago Kangaroo court on February 15, 1872, they were sentenced to die by means of the garrote, a Catholic strangulation by an iron collar tightened by a screw. On February 17, 1872, they were executed in Bagumbayan, now the Luneta. Of course, since the rebellion of Fr Gomez, Burgos, and Zamora had no impact against the Catholic Church image on the international arena - there was no need to concoct a RETRACTION story about the rebellious activities of these 3 Filipino Catholic priests.

On the other hand, Jose Rizal exposed via his two novels - the NOLI and FILI - for the whole world to discover the religious malarkey keeping the Filipino spiritually poor as a people and the Philippines  morally backward as a nation. Like Fr. Gomez, Burgos, and Zamora, Rizal, with trump-up charges by a Kangaroo court, was also publicly executed. The Spanish Catholic friars defending and protecting the lucrative industry of the Catholic church - had to concoct the RETRACTION garbage about the death of Jose Rizal - so that he will end up as just one ordinary Filipino Catholic who died penitent and regretted having challenged the wealth, power, and glory of Catholicism in this only Catholic country in Asia.

I said it before, I say it again: If we Filipinos in this already 21st century are still stuck and famous as the Sick Man of Asia - it is simply because we are still being educated and guided NOT with sane Rizalism; but indeed, we are still ruled and dominated in our own country by insane Catholicism.
Sincerely, Poch Suzara Jan 25, 2011

College-educated Filipinos - WAKE UP

I did not much care about my own personal and painful experience during my La Salle grade school years and indeed getting expelled out of La Salle high school. What I do care about is what La Salle, Ateneo, Letran, San Beda, UST, Assumption college, Miriam, college, Diliman University, St. Echolastica, and all the rest of the Catholic schools, Catholic colleges, and Catholic universities and its teachings have been doing and still keeping us Filipinos failures as a people and, indeed, keeping our Philippines a loser as a nation! Look how we in our own country we have more love and admiration for a Jewish hero born in a foreign land known as Jesus Christ; while we hardly know the life and works of our own hero born in the Philippines - Jose Rizal! Look further how in this already 21st century, we Filipinos still believe that there is a powerful Jewish God out there who will somehow provide for us one day down here. All that we have to do is to pray daily to such a God to give us this day our daily bread! Also, to lead us not into temptation! Look even deeper at our beliefs and values that says that Jesus, the Son of a Jewish God, who died on a cross to save Filipinos some 2,000 years ago will return and will remedy the ills and filth out of our sick society. Need I say more, huh? Poch Suzara

The Most Powerful Medicine

We are told that faith is a powerful medicine. We were also told that laughter too is a powerful medicine.

Well, the day we are born is the day we also begin to live in a dying body. Now when will the most powerful medicine be avaliable to cure the deadliest of all diseases otherwise more known as "life?"

Indeed, life is a sexually transmitted disease with a mortality rate of 100 per cent.

My Sane and Wonderful Gods

A legend is told of the creation of the universe. The gods held a conference and one of them said, "Let us give to man the same creative power that we ourselves possess. Where shall we hide this priceless gift?"

Another answered, "Let us hide it where man will never think to look for it: within his own mind."

Indeed, if my parents at home and my teachers in school had taught me to believe
in the existence of such kind and loving Gods, never would I have ever become
an atheist. Indeed, I would always love, worship, and adore, from the cradle to the grave, the delightful existence of such Gods!

Unfortunately, everybody at my home and everybody in my school were not the courageous masters of religion; but the frightened victims of religion. We were all frightened to believe in a God who was always cold-blooded in perfection, always silly in the business of creation, always hungry for admiration, and indeed, always ready to punish any or all of us if we ignored his holy bible garbage more known as divine revelation!

I said it before when I was 14 years old at home and in school, and I say it again now that I am 74 years old - fuck that holy shit! Poch Suzara
