Faith in Blind Faith

Due to faith in blind faith frightened into us during formative years at home and in school it is understandable that we can neither see nor can feel the horrors of religion. Religion harms children, adults, nations, culture, and society as a whole because the ideas behind it are not only irrational, but also promotes the feeling of personal inadequacy and anxiety indoctrinated into us during our formative years in school.. A child should be permitted to grow freely away from restrictive and dehumanizing ideas which are those of religion. Basically, religion is anti-life, anti-women, anti-sexuality, anti-reason, anti-reality, and anti-science. And these horrors are a heavy load to lay on a child who learns to follow in blind faith the strong theme that rewards poverty, submissiveness, sickness, or anything that would place such a child into an inferior position. By the same token, self-esteem, self-reliance, self-sufficiency, competence, intelligence, or anything that would put a child on a superior position is penalized or discouraged. God loves the humble, the meek, the frightened, the inferior; but God is jealous of the functional human intellect. Man should never be self-sufficient lest he offend God. This sets the stage for God in the role of the superior and man in the role of the inferior. God is the supreme being who needs servility and obedience to satisfy his egocentric qualities. Man must play the role of the inferior and as a reward for a submissive, unhappy, unrewarding life - he is promised that if he is good, a good for nothing dormat on this earth, he is assured of eternal salvation in heaven with God. This reward, however, is never defined. If a man is to earn God's favor, he indeed must live not with dignity, but with humility, and above all, he must not be happy. This is crucial in that to be happy might invoke envy from God, and man must live in fear of this envy. I said it before, I say it again: the horrors of religion in general, Catholicism in particular, have kept us filipinos traditionally poor as a people and historically backward as a nation. I say, it is time to dump organized religion out of our country. Instead of silly religiosity, let us enjoy intelligent SPIRITUALITY of which in its highest reality is to QUESTION EVERYTHING. Indeed, in the Philippines, since the 16th century - daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly we filipinos have been faithully praying repeatedly over and over again and look at the results in our country in this already 21st century: Millions more of us filipinos as a people today in the whole of Asia are still busy praying daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly; specially for the Second coming of the Lord to remedy the ills of our SICK SOCIETY as generated by our SICK SCHOOLS, SICK COLLEGES, AND SICK UNIVERSITIES - still teaching millions of Filipinos to continue to pray to God for the salvation of our poor and backward country - the only Catholic country in Asia since 400 years ago. Millions of believers are Ignorant of Bible Contents

The Bible is the most-printed and most freely distributed book in the world, with many hundreds of millions of copies believed to be in existence. The bible books sold in bookstores have always been, at any time, a best sellers. Unfortunately, the bible is considered holy, a book written by inspired authors of God -therefore it need not be read. Its verses need only to be taken for granted; especially as expounded by the priest on the pulpit during mass on sundays or by the evangelical hypocrites on TV during weekdays. The big question is why isn't the bible read as any book should be read for its messages, if any? It is simply because properly and thoroughly read the bible is the most effective way to learn how to become an atheist! Indeed, only scholars and atheists are more familiar with bible contents. Millions upon millions of believers have yet to seriously read and study the bible. A book that is full of myths, legends, contradictions, inconsistencies, absurdities, obscenities, vulgarities, atrocities, lies and deceptions. In order to get to that conclusion, however, one must only seriously read the bible from cover to cover. No extra sources or inspirations are necessary. If we turn the bible on page one we will find two completely different descriptions of the same event - creation of man. In these descriptions in which various things were created is completely different. This is more than enough to conclude that one of these descriptions must be a lie. So we have found that the first page in the bible is a lie. The rest are full of completely different, mutually exclusive descriptions of the same event. Using the above resoning for each of these pairs of descriptions we can conclude that at least one of the descriptions can not be true. And this is how we can make the conclusion that Bible is book written by inspired lunatics. If authors inspired by logic can reveal the truth behind the multiplication table, why couldn't authors inspired by God reveal as well the truth behind the revelation table? As a matter of fact, insane messages written in the bible are about how life is not perfect as it is a defect. Therefore for the sake of revelation, not evolution - what we must seek is not reconstruction, but only obliteration; especially for the sake of gaining after death eternal salvation. The bible is the book of church - the Jewish church stands behind the Old Testament. The Christian church stands behind the New Testament. Behind both testaments, however, stand the priesthood industry. In the meantime, religious politicians are "voted" as the most admired in our poor and backward country. Even the highest court, the Supreme court, cringe before the power of organized religion. Our scientific community is so cowed it dares not challenge the religious liars that make for our sick society. Educators, especially college and university professors are paralyzed in fear, not even hoping to confront the sick monster known as organized religion keeping us aimless as a people and rudderless as a nation. Oh yes, millions of our citizens, by and large, remain religious illiterates. The bible is accepted but not read. Yet, on this book, as the alleged word of God, rests the entire superstructure of our faith, beliefs, and values that inspired the birth of the Dark Ages during the 5th century. I asked it before, I ask it again: After the college educated theologians have proved with evidences that God of the bible exists here, there, and everywhere - how would such information improve the lives of millions of spiritually malnourished, culturally impoverished, and indeed, materially pulverized Filipinos in the Philippines - the only Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century? The Filipino - Poorest people in Asia

According to a UN-Habitat report, over 20 million Filipinos in the Philippines live in slums, and in Metro Manila alone. There are more than 800,000 Pinays working as prostitutes in Metro Manila. Many of them are underage. In the meantime, because we have no national health care system an average of 52 Pinays die every 24 hours from pregnancy-related causes. According to the Asian Development Bank, over 25 million Filipinos don’t have access to the basic sanitation afforded by toilet facilities; another 13 million don’t have proper water resources - without plumbing or communal water taps, many rely on creek water and deep wells which can often be unsafe for human consumption. Poverty cannot be measured in pesos and centavos alone. Poverty must be viewed from a larger, deeper, if not a wider perspective: social, political, spiritual, cultural, educational, environmental; and indeed, poverty in science and technology. We are, indeed, the poorest people in Asia. Consider: We are rudderless as people; directionless as a nation. We have no love for our country. None are rich in spirit. We have no respect for law and order. We have no sense of the future of our nation's children. In brief, we have nothing great going on for us Filipinos - except God, and his Son Jesus; Mary, the Mother of God; and of course the Pope who is not even a Filipino. Surely, millions of Filipinos feel God has blessed them. In fact, we are taught in schools, colleges, and universities to always believe what Jesus declared: "BLESSED ARE THOSE WHO ARE POOR IN SPIRIT, FOR THEIRS IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN." In the ultimate analysis, millions of us filipino share something great in common together: For the love of Jesus up there, we are all poor in spirit down here! The Concept of God is Unknowable

The belief that god is basically unknowable is the most important epistemological element of theistic belief. It is shared by all theists to some extent, who disagree only with regard to what degree, if any, god's nature can be known. We must remember that theism maintains not just that god's nature is unknown to man at the present time, but that god's nature is unknowable in principle. Man will never understand god, which is expressed by such terms as ineffable, inexpressible, transcendent, unfathomable, and indeed, incomprehensible. The most extreme version of this belief is religious agnosticism, which holds that the nature of god is completely unknowable... First, we must ask: If god cannot be known, how can god be known to exist? Quoting Nathaniel Branden, "To claim that a thing is unknowable, one must first know that it exists--but assert the existence of the unknowable is to claim knowledge of the unknowable, in which case it cannot be unknowable." Second, if god cannot be comprehended, then none of his attributes can be known--including the attribute of incomprehensibility. To state that something is by nature unknowable is to pronounce knowledge of its nature, in which case we are again involved in a contradiction. When one claims that something is unknowable, CAN ONE PRODUCE KNOWLEDGE IN SUPPORT OF THIS CLAIM? If one cannot, one's assertion is arbitrary and utterly without merit. If one can, one has accomplished the impossible: one has knowledge of the unknowable... To claim that god is incomprehensible is to say that one's concept of god is unintelligible, which is to confess that one does not know what one is talking about. The theist who is called upon to explain the content of his belief--and who then introduces the "unknowable" as a supposed characteristic of the concept itself--is saying, in effect: "I will explain the concept of god by pointing out that it cannot be explained." Atheists have long contended that the concept of god is unintelligible, this being a major reason why it cannot be accepted by any rational man. The theist who openly admits this cannot expect to be taken seriously. The idea of the unknowable is an insult to human intelligence, and it renders the beliefs of a theist not worth believing. Now let us assume that God became Jesus as Jesus is God. So how come Jesus never bothered to explain for the sake of human decency - the clarity of extraterrestrial complexity into intellectual simplicity to render complete understanding of the complexity for the whole of the humanity to grasp the reality of divinity, globally? WHO OR WHAT IS GOD

Atheists: If You're Looking For A Miracle To Prove God Exists, How Do You Explain This? (published in GOOGLE) Scientists at NASA were plotting the positions of the Sun, Moon, and other planets 100 years from now, and 1,000 years from now, in order to calculate spacecraft trajectories. As the sophisticated government computers worked with the data fed into them, they suddenly and unexpectedly came to a grinding halt. Service technicians were called in, but were unable to find anything mechanically wrong. The computers, so the story goes, had discovered a day missing in time. No one knew why the computers were acting the way they were, or how to fix them. However, one scientist on the team had gone to Sunday school when he was a child, and, from the teaching he had received there, he recalled a story from the Old Testament in which God had made the Sun stand still for a day, or thereabouts. The other NASA engineers — profound disbelievers in God and His Word — ridiculed him for even suggesting that such “information” might provide a solution to their problem. However, the scientist turned to Joshua 10, and read the story. The engineers then reworked the data being fed into the computers, adding in the “lost day” of Joshua, and the computers whirred along perfectly — almost. The computers stopped again because they had not discovered a whole day; something was still missing. Apparently (so the story goes) the computers found only 23 hours and 20 minutes. In other words, 40 minutes were still missing. But, the scientist who had suggested that they look in the Bible for the answer in the first place once again suggested what might be the answer to this conundrum. He remembered something else he had been taught. In II Kings 20, the biblical record says that King Hezekiah, upon being promised a cure from his illness and thus a longer life, had requested a sign from God. The text indicates that God made the Sun move backwards ten degrees. Ten degrees, said the scientist, would be exactly 40 minutes! And that provided the entire 24-hour day the computers needed. The Bible had the answer all along! Note: NOW WHAT WE ATHEISTS NEED TO KNOW IS WHETHER GOD IS A CATHOLIC, A JEW, OR A MUSLIM, A MUGGLETONIAN, OR WHO KNOWS MAY BE GOD IS A POCHOLOGIAN? Poch Suzara
