As A Devout Atheist

As a devout atheist I wish I had the time to hate the Christians, the Jews and the Muslims. However, as I painfully see the great religious believers of our world already pretty much inspired, if not embroiled in hate, especially hate of themselves, if not hate of one against the other, I thought I’d better devote my energy to studying and understanding evil otherwise also popularly known as the great religions of the world. For you not to believe in God, you sure do talk about Him a lot. It seems you are obsessed with Him, only in a bad way. So you believe there's no God? I can only say this, when you depart from this world, you had better be right. I would rather believe there is a God in Heaven and be wrong, as to believe there were none, and be wrong. Hmmm....

If you are engaged in a quest to understand why you are here on earth, or of what value your existance is, I find it completely logical that you would try to understand the religions the world has since they have had a profound effect in the lives of many others and in creating the environment in which you now live yours.

Personally I prefer to think of myself as an agnostic with the opinion that "God" is "the Answer" which people have invented when they run out of answers to their questions. There seems to be a tremendous fear in realizing that there is no answer (at least at the moment) to important questions.

I was just wondering with this "anonymous" fello. If he's too cock sure about his god-concept, why is he so scared to write his own identity?

Hehehe!

Nice Mr. Poch

isnt religion is meant to be flawed since the proponents are flawed themselves? religion has indeed brought out the worst in people but we cant refute that it has also brought out the best out of people. nothing is absolute. there may only be balance in this crazy world we live in. even though, the God concept maybe a lie, what a beautiful lie it is with an amazing placebo effect. i have come to believe that humans need to have something greater then themselves to aspire too... to follow. is that so wrong? -the student
