Descendants From Apes
I envy the apes in the jungle. None of them are known to be religiously insane or politically stupid. None of them heard about the Word of God. Apes do not go to war to kill other apes in God’s name. Apes do not pray inside a church, or worship inside a Mosque, or adore inside a synagogue. In fact, if there were anything that’s immoral with the apes, it is that they evolved into becoming Christians, or Muslims, or Jews whose existence continue to keep our world wracked in hatred – always a threat to peace on earth and goodwill to all men. Your post is very similar to part of Leaves of Grass by Walt Whitman --
I think I could turn and live with animals, they are so placid and self-contain’d;
I stand and look at them long and long.
They do not sweat and whine about their condition;
They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins;
They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God;
Not one is dissatisfied—not one is demented with the mania of owning things;
Not one kneels to another, nor to his kind that lived thousands of years ago;
Not one is respectable or industrious over the whole earth.
