The Theory of the Original Sin

Charles Darwin discovered that the created world is still expanding and human life is still evolving. One therefore cannot fall from perfection if there is no finished creation.

Evolution was always a fact, not a theory. It is the “Original Sin” that has always been and still is a theory. In the meeantime, how can any of us be guilty of the Original Sin since none of us originated anything to begin with? Poch Suzara

Richard Dawkins is sick and tired of those f**king creationists emphasizing that evolution is just a theory, as if "theory" in relativity theory, gravitation theory, electromagnetic theory, atomic theory, etc. makes relativitistic phenomena, gravity, electromagnetic radiation, atoms, ... nonfactual. Evolution is as factual as light (electromagnetic radiation) and gravity and all the phenomena which science seeks to explain.

That bacteria and bugs continually become resistant to our antibiotics and pesticides is pure and simple evidence that evolution is occurring--selective forces are favoring those mutations which provide these species immunity to our arsenal. The multiple lines of evidence from fossils, homology, DNA, biological experiments, etc. all converge and evince evolution. There is no evidence that refutes evolution.

A recent paper by Byars et al. (Natural selection in a contemporary human population. Proc. Nat. Acad. Sci. USA) provides evidence that humans are still evolving. However, the evidence they provide isn't strong. Cultural factors may confound what they interpret as genetic.

I wouldn't call "original sin" a theory--certainly not in the scientific sense. At best it's a hypothesis. And it seems that it's one that can't be substantiated.

Since Xians brought this claim into being the onus of proof is on their shoulders. First of course they need to prove their premise--they'll have to provide evidence that the supernatural exists and that their deity exists. Tall order from the git go and something they haven't been able to do and by the looks of it will never ever be able to accomplish.
