Please read Seriously Your Bible

August 27, 2013 Dear Bob Gabuna, "Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James 4:7 “But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.” Matthew 5:39 Hijos de tootie-frootie y patooties, CONIO! I asked it before, I ask it again: What is so noble about turning the other cheek, if one knows that each time he does so, he is piling up greater heavenly rewards, while the one who strikes him is earning his reward in hell? In the meantime, listen to the famous Filipino bible preachers - Rev. Apollo Quiboloy, Rev. Eddie Villanueva, Rev. Eli Soriano, Rev. Mike Velarde, Rev. Eddie Manalo, and Rev. Tagle - the Archbishop of Manila - all admit on TV and in radio stations - making no bones about God as the panacea; and His son Jesus - the one and only Savior of the Filipinos. They spend their entire sermons saying that if we only "turn back to God" all of our troubles as a people, and all of our problems as a nation will vanish forever into thin air. There was a time, indeed, throughout the world, when every one "turn back to God" and to His Son Jesus for everything. Historians refer to it as the DARK AGES. Cheers! Poch, you're lumping the Roman church with the leaders of the cults. I don't agree with these so called leaders of false religions and Christian counterfeits. Don't listen to them. It's a colossal waste of time. And it is detrimental to your soul's well-being.

Ken, you should find out more about Horus - the Egyptian God 3,000 years before Christ. They virtually have a similar biography. Lots of the saying and parables of Jesus were already uttered by Horus. There was nothing original about the life and times of Jesus Christ. He was a Fake and a plagiarist. Poch Suzara

Ken, a case of the pot calling the kettle black?

Poch, you present yourself as a bright, enlightened, and perceptive self-taught man. You should be more discerning regarding the alleged similarities between Jesus and mythological characters as asserted by contemporary skeptics. Do your own research. What pre-New Testament primary sources are there to prove these allegations? Your integrity will be restored and your sense of well-being will be enhanced when you cease from relying on Wikipedia as your primary source.

Ken, trust me, Poch has been around longer than you and I, and is well-read. The sources about Horus, etc., have been around way before Wikipedia, and even before the computer age. Books about doubts on gods and religions have been around for centuries. There were atheists for as long as there were gods. There were non-believers even before Jesus - he is just one among the thousands of gods that humans have invented.

Ok then. What pre-New Testament primary sources do you have to prove the alleged similarities between Jesus and Horus? BTW have you watched EvG yet?
