CBCP: Who are we to condemn Pork Scammers

CBCP: Who are we to condemn pork scammers? MANILA - The president of the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines is urging Filipinos not to condemn several individuals including three senators who are facing plunder charges over the multi-billion pork barrel scandal. In a report on CBCPNews, Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas reminded Christians to "love at all times, even those who sin and err, for none of us is above human frailty." "For those among us who are not accused, let us remember that the offenses with which those who now stand accused are charged could very well be the offense of any of us as well," he said. "Who are we to condemn? Let the one who has no sin be the first to cast a stone," he added. Villegas urged officials not to act out of hatred or desire for vengeance. He said a vengeful action "cannot be from God." "Let no action – official, personal or otherwise – be ever born out of hatred or a desire for vengeance," he said. "Let everything we do be born out of sincere love for each other and concern for the common good for only then will we be recognized as disciples of the Divine Master who searches out and rescues the lost and the weak," he added. The CBCP president said those tasked to prosecute the cases must "observe total commitment to the human rights of the accused." "Everybody culpable, whatever their political affiliations may be, should be investigated and, if so warranted, indicted. When justice is selective, it is not justice at all," he said. The Office of the Ombudsman on Friday formally filed before the Sandiganbayan plunder charges against three senators and several individuals linked to the P10 billion pork barrel scam. Facing plunder raps before the Sandiganbayan are Senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada, Bong Revilla, Janet Lim Napoles, Jessica Reyes, Ronald John Lim, John Raymund de Asis, Pauline Labayen, John de Asis and Richard Cambe." WOW! My dear Catholic Bishops: Who are we to condemn the pork scammers? We are the millions of sick Filipinos who are the sick historical victims not only of the filthy rich Catholic theologians, not only the victims of the filthy rich Catholic politicians, but also the sick victims of Christianity still in wealth, power, glory, and authority keeping our sick country poor and backward. Poch,

True. We don't condemn them. By their actions they have condemned themselves. As human beings we cannot love at all times. There is no way one can love someone who has done your family great harm. There is no way one can diminish or deny the hate one feels for such a hateful person. Anger and hate are natural emotions. No one has to teach a person to be angry. Anger, hatred, disgust and every other human emotion are intrinsic parts of our nature. They well-up from the inside in a natural reaction to what is going on around us. Emotions are not learned and cannot be suppressed without creating great harm. They can be managed in ways that allow us to avoid destructive actions that can be damaging to self.

It is perfectly normal, perfectly justified to feel anger and even hatred for those crooks who run the country. Just as it is perfectly normal and perfectly justified to be angry and even hate those Catholic priests and lay teachers who mis-educated those crooks. Those priests who failed to teach those crooks that the evil in stealing from the government is multiplied many times over by the vast increase in poverty. Who failed to point to the causal relationship between out-of-control graft and out of control poverty.

Religion is among the worst teachers of morality and ethics. All one needs to do to come to this conclusion is look at the sick lives of those who claim to be the generators and teachers of morality. They are an abnormal lot. They are men who wear women's clothing but eschew women as agents of satan. These aberrant priests who seek out little boys whose lives they will destroy in countless numbers m ust be hated for their evil deeds. The idea that they can confess their sins to another priest can result in forgiveness is an incredible sickness.

It isn't up to another priest nor is it up to God to forgive sins. Only the victim has the right to forgive sins. No one can condemn a victim if he prefers to pillory his cruel tormentors... all the way to castration without anesthesia.

Poch,
The Catholic Church in the Philippines, its bishops and priests, and ministers of other religions have benefited from the corruption in our country. Public officials, politicians and businessmen who have amassed wealth through corruption and exploitation have bribed the religious ministers with donations to their institutions and to them individually. This is exemplified by Napoles who had generously donated to the priests, and by the Conjugal Dictators Marcos and Imelda. They have used religiosity to mask their corruption, and dealt Pascal's Wager; What if Hell exists? Might as well bribe our way to heaven. In this way, they hope to enjoy heaven here on earth and after death.
