The Bible Admits

“Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” Psalms 51:5. Indeed, Christians believe in guilty babies. Catholics are worse:- they believe in guilty embryos. For my part, I do not believe in the existence of original sin as I do not believe in the existence of an Original Creator. The most basic law of physics states that matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed; they can only be transformed into different states. Say that the trouble with me is that everybody sees God except me. They say, to see God, all I have to do is to open my heart and God will be there as clear as daylight for me to see. Scientitic Way of Thinking

Religious Insanity

In his Democracy in America, Alexis de Tocqueville wrote: “Religious insanity is very common in the United States.” Too bad he never visited the Sick Man of Asia. He would have found religious insanity a much more serious condition in the Philippines than it was then in the United States. During these times, there was only one Filipino who was scientifically sane: Jose Rizal. He wrote two books ( Noli and Fili ) about the religious insanity of the Spanish Catholic Friars against Filipino Catholics. The Civil government, under the power of the Catholic Church had Rizal put away. He was publicly executed in 1896. In the meantime, lies have been told about this great man. Indeed, even up to today, in every school, colleges, and universities in the Philippines, it is still being taught that hours before he died, Rizal retracted. That in his death cell he went to confession, heard mass, received holy communion, and wore a scapular around his neck and holding a rosary around his hands on the way to face his firing squad. Such retraction is purely based on sacred Catholic lies. After Death, What?

After death, what then? Nothing. Is that it? Yes, it’s all over. But isn’t that sad? Yes, it is sad. But what is even sadder, however, is that our lifetime on this earth is but a fraction of a millimeter or a split of a second as compared to the life of eternity and on a planet that is so insignificantly tiny. 1,000 planet earth can fit inside the Planet Jupiter which, in turn, is also so tiny in that 100,000 Jupiters can fit inside our Sun. Ours indeed is but an iota of existence. In the meantime, when a atheist admits with all intellectual honesty that life began as a fluke, that we live as a farce, and that we end up as a fertilizer – the atheist is not being a sanctimonious hypocrite. Reality

Reality is always changing, and at the heart of it is not an answer, but an ultimate question: why is there something rather than nothing? According to Einstein, “A legitimate conflict between science and religion cannot exist. Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind.” Well, If I may add, fortunately, science and religion can, indeed, merge; unfortunately, however, religion must first reconcile with other religions before science can begin to entertain the merger. God's Luckiest Creature

GOD’s LUCKIEST CREATURE

Among God’s creatures only one has turned out to be the luckiest who always had it so fortunate. When he was created eons ago, and presumably in God’s own image and likeness, he never had to worry about the necessities of life – food, clothing, and shelter. He never had to struggle for existence with toil, pain, and sweat. He is quite a success in his own right. And to think that -

He never had to be baptized. Never had to go to confession. Going to mass on Sundays is to him worthless; holy communion meaningless. He does not need bible classes, or attend Wednesday novenas, or Thursday Adorations. He has no need of prayers for the salvation of his soul. The Gospel means nothing to him. In fact, the Gospel was written because of him. To think also that God gifted him with the free will too greater than those of ordinary men’s free will.

He never had any need to learn Christian values and beliefs. Carnal knowledge means nothing to him. He had no need to earn a college diploma to succeed in the world of greed and corruption. A career to earn a living means nothing to him. But he is quite a success with his ambitions, especially on earth. He’s behind governments of most countries. The Philippine government is his favorite. Thanks to his inspiration, Filipinos believed that freedom is the greatest as long as theocracy stays on top of our democracy.

This creature has never been afraid of anything. The Ten Commandments of God means nothing to him. In fact, he sees to it that such commands are always disobeyed, and that the results would be the same either way for the sinner: to be good, specially to be good for nothing.

He has no need of money. He has no bank account. He pays neither rent nor mortgage for his house. He does not even live in a home. But his place of residence was well provided for by God himself. He has no need for a family car. He’s wifeless and childless; in fact, he is sexless. He has no hospital bills to worry about. He has no health problems. He has no worries about burial expenses one day. He is even deathless. No one can destroy him as he enjoys eternal power. He’s free to do anything he wants without fear of punishment. He can create or destroy and is not answerable to any one. More than a hundred billion human beings already lived and died on this earth since Adam and Eve. But this creature is still alive, and kicking, and breathing fire and brimstone.

This creature of God sees to it that “faith” continues to be popular among men because, like “humility,” it makes stupidity a virtue. He loves the believers, the kneelers, and the cringers. They are his kind of people. The famous evangelists around the world are among the greatest of his friends. After all, evangelism sells nothing but wishful thinking and comforting myth to believers at a dear price: the mindless surrender of the self via the mutilation of the intellect. And therefore nothing pleases him more than to see mindless and heartless humans inspired to feel all the time worthless.

Despite his destructive ways, he has the power to reward himself with anything he wants; specially the souls of men. He has the power of a God. The Philippines is one country that he controls totally with the help of the theologians in cahoots with the politicians that he had endowed with power, wealth, and glory. He has the power of a God.

In the meantime, he can perform miracles. He can make people believe in the most idiotic of beliefs; he can even make a whole society sick. In God’s name, this creature has the power to teach brothers to hate brothers, to disintegrate empires, to topple governments, make kings abdicate, and teach nations to declare war on other nations. And most of all, he has the power to perform miracles in remote provinces. Those who enjoy delusions are his special friends. Specially, those who live near the mountain and who are able to hear the voice of God speaking to them.

No, this creature is not a saint, nor the pope, but the devil himself: - the most convenient concept justified by Christianity with theological infallibility. He is also known as Lucifer – the bringer of light. Throughout history – logic, philosophy, free thinking, intelligence, science and technology have always been regarded by the believers as the work of the devil – the most fortunate of all among God’s creatures. A spoiled supernatural brat, you might say. But if you look at your bible: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer to the ground..." - Isaiah 14:12. Then see the last page of the same bible, it reads: "I am the root and offspring of David, and the bright and morning star." -Rev. 22:16. Note that the name Lucifer ( another name for Satan ) means light bearer, or morning star. Therefore, Lucifer is one of the inspired authors of the bible. Is it possible that the Holy trinity is actually the Holy Quadrucity: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit, and God the Devil?

Our teachers in Catechism told us that eons ago, when Satan decided to go against God, no one in heaven, not even the later theologians on earth, considered that supernatural event as the real Fall, the real Original Sin. No, the Fall was reserved for Adam and Eve - innocent and powerless as they both were. Satan then played a vital role in the Fall of Man and yet again he got scot-free. He has remained free and unpunished for ruining the lives of our first parents. Indeed, no one in heaven thought of crucifying on earth Satan on the cross. They thought of a better plan: put the Son of God to die on the cross in order to redeem the sins of man and to destroy the devil.

But what a monumental failure that was. Satan is still alive and doing quite well and happy enjoying the power of his free will. And he sees to it that the sinners keep on praying to God to lead them not into temptation. Of course, Satan knows stupidity comes first, sin follows. And so he sees to it that the power of human stupidity drives the human community ever on perpetually. In fact, Satan’s favorite people are the believers. After all, no one, except the believers believe in the existence of hell. Indeed, believers fear the devil first; fear God only second. What could be more flattering for this God’s luckiest of creatures?

In the final analysis, behind every good is the power of divinity. Behind every evil is the power of deviltry. But in between those two supernatural forces, however, is the power of human stupidity always trying to catch up with the power of infinity. - Poch Suzara

Ignorant

When we are born, none of us knew where we came from. In birth, we are ignorant. When we die, none of us will know where we are going. In death, we are ignorant. And to think we live but for a few moments, comparatively, on this grain of sand called Earth circling a star of which trillions of such stars exist out there. Scientist Carl Sagan wrote: “The total number of stars in the universe is greater than all the grains of sand in all the beaches of the planet Earth.” Poch Suzara

God's Truth

I am told that God’s truth is the best protection against Satan’s lies. But if there were God’s truth, what is the purpose of Satan’s lies, nay, what is the purpose of Satan’s existence? On the other hand, isn’t the existence of God protective enough? Why must there be also the truth from God? When are we going to stop playing this silly theological games? To begin with, we know nothing of God and we know nothing of Satan. Who cares about the truth or the lies emanating from either of these two supernatural monsters always happy working endlessly together? As a Devout Atheist

For my part, as a devout atheist, I do not care to meet God out there after I am dead. I should wish, however, to meet Him down here and now while I am still alive. So where is God? Why hide away from atheists like me? Poch Suzara

For God So loved the World

God's 10th Commandment

Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbors. Man's Greatest Achievement

Man’s greatest achievement in life is not to make billions; or to rule an empire; or to become famous or notorious. It is to be fully aware of the real nature of the powerful influence his parents at home and teachers in school and indeed priests in church who have had over him during his upbringing and education. The first five to ten years of a child’s life determines whether he will be a man of reason, or a man of faith, a businessman, a politician, a professor, a fool, a criminal, a saint, a clown, a lovable scoundrel, an alcoholic, or a catholic or a lunatic. For my part, I am grateful to my parents at home, my teachers in school, and my priests in church for having inspired in me with enough motivation to grow up to become an atheist. And what was my life's greatest achievement as I got to be an atheist? - I managed, somehow, to recapture the most priceless treasure stolen away from as a little boy at home, in school, and in church - my most precious mind to grow up to be, rightly or wrongly, a courageous thinking man. I Think

I think if there is a God, He should be found existing inside, not outside, the universe. In fact, as nothing exists outside the universe, there is no God to be found there. As an unbeliever of the faith, if I must believe in the revealed truth, it must first be revealed directly to me. The Seven Deadly Sins

According to Catholic teachings: - pride, envy, wrath, lust, gluttony, avarice, and sloth are the seven deadly sins. Unfortunately, stupidity is not included. After all, stupidity comes first; sin follows. But it’s wonderful that there is always available, at any time and place from God, the forgiveness of sin. The Bible and Science

The bible may be rich in thought and imagination, but very poor in scientific facts as the bible is a work of fiction. There has yet to be a book written not by inspired authors, but by a God himself to prove his own existence. But then again, in what language should it be written for the whole of mankind to read, understand, and believe. In the meantime, the sciences as exposed in the bible are all patently false. In astronomy – the sun rotates around the earth. In biology – humans did not evolved but created by God. In the science of medicine – diseases are caused by the devil. In physics – God as part of total darkness himself had to declare: let there be light. In zoology – the only animal that survived Noah’s biblical Flood were the crocodiles. Conscience

Conscience is not innate. It is acquired through evolution and education, and varies with geography. Otherwise, if conscience were universally planted by God, then people everywhere would have similar beliefs and harmonious values. We would all embrace one standard of morality. There would be no disagreement over what is right or wrong. There would be no need for laws, policemen, lawyers, and judges in court; and no need for the military to settle moral disputes between nations. Poch Suzara

Free Will for What

What is the use of free will if we were already indoctrinated to exist frightened of life after death? So much so, not as the intelligent masters, but only as the stupid victims of free will that makes us prefer to live with faith in the comfort of religious lies or within the security of sacred deceptions? In the meantime, a widespread belief founded on nothing but free will concocted by the ignorant and the unlearned or even by the blessed is more likely to be fictitious, if not superstitious. Christianity teaches that the human race is depraved, fallen, and sinful. Under this premise, how then could humanity have learned to live according to the precepts of truth, the principles of justice, and the beauties of human dignity? Christ Made a Bet

Why

In a plane crash or a sinking ship or a train derailed, God always get the credit when someone survives. He does not. however, get any blame when someone dies? Is it because God loves the dead more than He does the living? Not enough jobs is the flip side of too many applicants. In brief, there are already far too many workers than the Philippine economy needs workers.

But then again, we also do have highly educated superstitious primitives who have not ceased proclaiming that there is no population problem in the Philippines. As if, in this country, we are all already living a comfortable life without having to degrade the capacity of our environment to support that same comfortable style for future Filipinos yet to be born in the years to come.

Really, in this country, thanks to our religious values and beliefs, we do not need a reason to believe in something. But we do need a reason to believe in nothing. As a matter of fact, thanks to our system of education, we all come out of our schools, colleges, and universities ready to be good; unfortunately, to be good for nothing.

Dear Editor, I Enjoyed reading the letter of Ms. Patricia Anne Cortez published in MANILA STANDARD TODAY. She is totally right about the value of education. It is, indeed, the best way to deal with our growing population. I should think, however, that the first education should be purely negative. It should consist not in the teachings religious lies and other sacred falsehoods; on the contrary, education should be about developing the mind from error and cultivating the heart from vice. In the meantime, the Church could not care less about the quality of life. For the sake of saving souls, what’s essential to the Church is the quantity of life. The more souls there are to be saved, the business is better for the Church. Thus, the evils of family planning and birth control practice – the only way the Church stays in business for wealth, power, and glory. Yes, abortion is evil. Besides, it is no thrill to kill a baby inside the mother’s womb. It’s called murder; and murder is a crime. What’s more thrilling, however, is to let the babies be conceived, let them be born, let them grow up a bit, give them a fighting chance, and then kill them. Kill them with malnutrition, filthy surroundings, parental neglect, diseases, or asphyxia from vehicular soot and lead. Indeed, many of the nation’s poor children play, trade, sell, eat and sleep, pee and poo, and God knows what else they do – in the streets of our major cities. What’s our purpose in being so overly concerned with babies not yet existing, and at the same time be stupidly apathetic with children already existing but also already dying? Isn’t this the height of religious hypocrisy? If we do not abandon our children in the streets, we abandon them in school. There, for the most part, they are taught not how to stand up to needs of the human race, but only how to kneel down to divine grace. How to seek a life of piety by ignoring knowledge and wisdom that should help carry on a decent and a healthy society. I said it before, I say it again: If the Christians would only bother to read fearlessly the bible from cover to cover, then Christianity would have died centuries ago. Please check for yourselves bible contents as the most damnatory biography of God in print everywhere. Too bad the Son of God Jesus has not yet made His Second Coming to make the necessary corrections the inspired authors recklessly wrote in the bible. For one thing the bible is filled with contradictions, inconsistencies, absurdities, vulgarities, obscenities, and atrocities. Take a look at a few verses, then take a closer look around you: Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. Luke 9:1 Verily, say unto you, if ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed… nothing shall be impossible unto you. Matt. 17:20 Neither of these religious primitives were kind enough to share with the world their secret on how to cure diseases, like a Dr. Jonas Salk for example. He virtually wiped out leprosy in children the world over with his anti-polio vaccine. Jesus himself cured leprosy but only during his lifetime and only in his community. Leprosy is still a disease in our world today. What kind of silly doctors were these people considering they had so-called supernatural assistance? The least Jesus could have done was to make not diseases, but health contagious for every man, woman, and child everywhere in the world. "And Jesus Christ said to them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the Kingdom of God come with power." Mark 9:1 In front row of course will be the Filipinos who have enrolled in bible studies in the Philippines such as the ones given endlessly on TV by Bro. El Soriano of Dating Daan - a bible preacher who never knows what in hell he is talking about. The bible says: “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” James 5:16. Unfortunately, the same bible also admits: “There is none righteous, no, not one.” Rom. 3:10 Now it is claimed that we must only attend bible study and not read the bible by ourselves? As if the bible were the private word of inspired authors; and not the public word of God for everyone. Please read: Luke 14:33 , Luke 19:27, Luke 14:26, Matt 10:34-37, Matt. 8:21-22, Matt 19:29, Mark 10:20-30, Mark 13:12, Luke 12:51-53 And then please explain how Jesus could be such a lovable character? Such a Savior? On the one hand, Jesus said: “Blessed are the Peacemakers.” Then He comes around proudly proclaiming that: “I came not to bring peace, but a sword, and to set families against themselves.” And there is more. Our Women

Women – the most precious half of the whole of mankind – they are what mothers and grandmothers are made of; what wives and daughters are made of; what sisters and nieces and aunts are made of. And yet in the Philippines, we allow our poor women to live in the slum areas, to sweep our streets, to beg in the streets, to work as household maids or as hospitality girls in foreign countries. In fact, a vital component of the Philippine economy is based on prostitution, from which the men profit much more than the women, many of whom are employed, nay, enslaved by men. When we degrade the status of women, we degrade at the same time, children; especially the male children who grow up, if at all, dumbstruck as they generate our sick society. And what is life? Life is but a sexually transmitted disease with a mortality rate of 100 per cent.

On Raising Children

Raising children in the Philippines is just like raising pigs, chicken and cows: without regard to moral and intellectual capacity. Despite the increasing complexity of raising children for a happy, creative, and productive life, the task of parenthood remains in the hands of couples quite devoid of parental qualifications. There are colleges courses offered on how to raise pigs, chickens and cows in our universities, but none on how to properly raise children. There are millions of malnourished children in the Philippines today. They are abused – physically, emotionally, sexually, and economically. Not to mention poor prenatal and postnatal nutrition adversely have affected the functions of their brains. Let us not forget that our congressmen, senators, and theologians of today, not to mention college professors - were once Filipino children. I ask: Why should these children honor their mother and father? Suppose parents are selfish, greedy, stupid, and insane? Should children honor them? Honor is not something to be given. It must be earned. Parents who wish to be respected must behave so as to elicit respect. But what if parents were weak or degenerate or criminally negligent? Should children honor them? Copulation requires no especial strength of character. No high intelligence is required for a husband to impregnate his wife or lover. Consider the physical position that a man and woman must assume in order to multiply and replenish the earth. It has got to be one of the most ridiculous positions ever concocted by would-be mothers and would-be fathers. Yet, when children are born and they struggle to survive by living like animals eating garbage off the streets, we believe it a religious duty that they be taught God’s command – honor thy mother and thy father. What kind of childish nonsense is this? In the meantime, it is hard to believe in the salvation of those who work for the damnation of others: the pro-lifers who condemn hundreds of thousands of unwanted and unloved children to premature death due to hunger and diseases. These religious morons are even insisting that there is no such thing as population growth problem in the Philippines. Indeed, religion is the root of complacency and apathy that plagues our sick society. We believe it such a terrible sin against God to practice family planning and birth control. We ignore God’s greatest gift to man: - free will. We refuse to accept that babies born in the Philippines today each carry a message from God. The message is that poor and backward countries like the Philippines have shamelessly failed to utilize free will to develop a new set of moral values that should lead to humane social program for population control. To be entrusted with a large family is a great responsibility. To be entrusted with feeding, clothing, sheltering, educating, and loving a large family is a greater responsibility. But to acknowledge the fact that human overpopulation leads to the extinction of most other species that are needed to maintain the balance of nature is the greatest of responsibilities. The first law of ecology is that everything is connected to everything else in a delicate and complex web of interrelationships. It is therefore impossible to separate protection of human species from protection of natural ecosystems; they are two aspects of the same fundamental set of resources. With human population explosion we destroy the ecological system. Upon their destruction we will destroy too, eventually, ourselves. All for what? To please the sick religious morons in charge of our spiritual life as a people? We pray to God to forgive us of our sins; but we also pray to God to “lead us not into temptation.” Perhaps, if we can only pray for the conversion of the devil to go back to the ways of the Lord, we will commit no more sins as there will be no more devil to make a mockery of our daily prayers. The Holy Bible not so Holy

In his AGE OF REASON, Thomas Paine wrote: “ Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and torturous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness, with which more than half the bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we call it the word of a demon, than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness, that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind; and, for my part, I sincerely detest it, as I detest everything that is cruel.”

For my part, I said it before, I say it again: if you have high hopes in seeing your children grow up intelligent with self-respect and courageous with dignity, keep them away from the stupid priest frightening them to believe and to have faith in the stupid messages written as Revealed Truth in the holy bible. Separation of Church and Scientific Knowledge

The mind grows healthy with scientific knowledge. Superstition only destroys the mind with fear and ignorance. Superstition therefore is an evil. There should be no room for superstition to exist alongside knowledge as superstition is an evil. It’s the same with the Church. There should be no room for the Church to exist alongside the State. The church is an evil: it not only divides with hate but also keeps people poor, backward, and indeed, un-enlightened, if not frightened. Poch Suzara
