Religion - The Dragon in our World

Nov. 16, 2012 My Dearest Et Al, I repeat what I have been saying on these pages: It does not matter whether we Filipinos were colonized by Christianity, or by Islam, or by Hinduism, or by what-not. What I am saying is that the struggle in our world history has never been about Good verses Evil; but precisely only about Evil versus Evil; and due to fear and ignorance Evil has always won. Just as much as there are atheists fighting Christianity in the Christian world, there are also atheists fighting the muslims in the Islam world. It is with such freedom fighters that we must learn to emulate, if not appreciate, if we wish our world ruled not by local insanity, but by global sanity. I refer you to Bertrand Russell and his struggle against religion of no matter what sort followed or practiced in their respective countries: "Religion prevents our children from having a rational education; religion prevents us from removing fundamental causes of war; religion prevents us from teaching the ethics of scientific cooperation in place of the old firece doctrines of sin and punishment. It is possible that mankind is on the threshold of a golden age, but it will be necessary first to slay the dragon that guards the door, and that dragon is religion." Cheers! Poch Suzara

Virginity and Corruption and Bertrand Russell

“There is not enough religion in the world,” Nietzsche once lamented, “to destroy the world’s religions.” As to what religion is, Bertrand Russell explained, “By religion, I mean a set of beliefs held as dogmas, dominating the conduct of life, going beyond or contrary to evidence, and inculcated by methods which are emotional or authoritarian, not intellectual.” “Religion is based,” Lord Russell also believed, “primarily and mainly on fear. It is partly the terror of the unknown, and partly the wish to feel that you have a kind of elder brother who will stand by you in all your troubles and disputes. Fear is the basis of the whole thing—fear of the mysterious, fear of defeat, fear of death. Fear is the parent of cruelty, and therefore it is no wonder if cruelty and religion go hand in hand.” Religion has attracted many, he added, because “belief in God serves to humanize the world of nature, and to make men feel that physical forces [of nature] are their allies. In like manner immortality removes the terror from death. People who believe that when they die they will inherit eternal bliss may be expected to view death without horror. It does soothe men’s fears somewhat even when it cannot allay them wholly.” Writing in 1969, Russell lamented that religion, “as embodied in the Churches, discourages honest thinking, in the main, and gives importance to things that are not very important. Its sense of importance seems to be quite wrong. [In ancient times] when the Roman Empire was falling, the Fathers of the Church didn’t bother much with the fall of the Roman Empire. What they bothered about was how to preserve virginity. That was what they thought important. In the present day, when the human race is falling, I find that eminent divines think it’s much more important to prevent artificial insemination . . . (indeed, if I may add, prevent the passage of the HR bill). Poch Suzara

Superstition

Among the first and the last superstition of the Filipino mind is the superstition that God loves us and that his Son Jesus is our Savior. It's the superstition that pretty much summarizes Catholic education in Catholic schools, colleges, and universities established in our poor and backward country! Poch Suzara

Sex, Babies, and the Catholic Church in the Philippines

My Dearest Et Al, In devising a code for sexual behavior that would guarantee the survival of the Catholic church, its priesthood industry left no stone unturned in their determination to convert the woman's uterus into a factory for turning out Catholic babies. In the Philippines today - the only Catholic country in all of Asia since the 16th century - the Pinay's uterus produces 3 babies every minute of the day and night or 1.8 million babies yearly. This is regardless of Filipino parent's emotional and financial resources that undermine Filipino health as a people and wealth as a nation. For me part, raised and educated as a Catholic, I eventually found myself hard to remain religious as a Catholic. Specially when I began to notice that none of my Catholic priest in church or Catholic Christian Brother teachers in La Salle were never incinerated by God with bolts of lightning! Cheers! Poch Suzara

Poverty in the Philippines

The Catholic church says that population growth is not the cause of poverty in the Philippines; it is poor governance by the corrupt government officials. Sadly, however, what is totally ignored is the ugly fact that those corrupt government officials are all products of schools, colleges, and universities own, operated, and managed by the Catholic church in our country. Such as La Salle, Ateneo, San Beda, Letran, UST, Miriam college, Assumption college, AIM, UP, etc, - more than a thousand of such corrupt commercial enterprises established all over the Philippines. They are more referred to as the "system of education" in our country. Indeed, we filipinos are all born ignorant, not corrupt. We are made corrupt by education. And to think that our "system of education" has always been blessed by Jesus on earth as he is in heaven! In the meantime, here are some of the ills of our sick society: You see them in the squatter areas; in the slums. Children begging in the streets of our major cities. With bloated bellies, emaciated by malnutrition, their mental and physical growth retarded. Not to mention, some 16 million Filipinos have no access to toilet facilities in the only blessed by God country in Asia. According to the Department of Health 18.8 millions Filipino children are suffering from intestinal worms. The little tiny creatures created by God as the culprits that cause this evil more known as chronic malnutrition. To think that these common childhood diseases make them grow up, if at all, to be known as the Sick Man of Asia. It can be prevented with proper health education and the values of believing in the beauty of health, hygiene, and sanitation. Oh well, I said it before, I will say it again: Jesus died on the cross for the sake of poverty. We must therefore always celebrate our poverty by being poorer this year; poorer next year than we were already poor both as a people and as a nation during the past 400 years in this God-forsaken only poor Catholic country in Asia. Scientists Playing God because There is No God

For God’s sake, even the scientists are trying to find ways and means to improve the human conditions on this earth. Such as learning about the nature of nature, curing diseases, increasing happiness, even conquering death. Now we are told that scientists are playing God. Well, if God would only stop wasting his powers fooling around and begin, instead, to play the role of God himself, there would be no need of scientists trying hard to make this world a better place to live in than what the religious morons - the believers of God have made of it during these past centuries! It is alarmingly obvious, if not apparently translucent - there is NO God! Poch Suzara

The Greatest of our Natural Resources

Nov. 13, 2012 Philippine Daily Inquirer Letter to the Editors, Dear Editors: Aside from the TRILLIONS OF DOLLARS worth of natural resources yet to be discovered and explored in our land, mountains, rivers, lakes, and in seashores, whatever happened to the growth and development of the greatest and most precious of natural resources found everywhere in the Philippines - the Filipino minds and hearts? Indeed, schools, colleges, and universities in the Philippines are places where they prepare Filipinos to be creative and productive not for the growth and development of our own beloved country but only how to get hired as good employees in the foreign countries. As we are also educated to believe that our health as a people and wealth as a nation could only be possible with the assistance from foreigners, even our college-educated government official are praying hard for the arrival of more foreign investors to take charge over our economic growth and development as a nation. It is a way of proving, I suppose, that God, indeed, does provide for the Filipinos in the Philippines - the only Christian country in Asia since the 16th century. I said it before, I say it again: if only our schools, colleges, and universities were to teach us Filipinos to believe that intelligent life after birth is far more real and precious than life after a stupid death, the Philippines could learn be the healthiest, wealthiest, and happiest nation in all of Asia! Sincerely, Poch Suzara San Lorenzo Village Makati city

What a Lie. What a Deception.

"When your world seems to be falling apart, look to Jesus who holds everything together." Philippine Star, Nov. 13, 2013 What a lie! What a deception! Another one of those childish hopes for divine intervention! Crucified on a cross, this Son of God Jesus, who holds everything together, cried out loud: "MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAS THOU FORSAKEN ME?" Matt 47:26 Poch Suzara

Stupid Faith in Lies and Deceptions

Those who hate to read, hate to think; and those who hate to read are no better off than those who are illiterate - they cannot read at all. All that they have going for them is stupid faith; especially faith not in illumination, but faith only in lies and deceptions; not to mention faith in confusion, illusion, and delusion! Poch Suzara

The Love of God Hogwash that Millions Still Swallow

"God loves us not because of who we are, but because of who He is." . . . Philippine Star, Nov. 1, 2012 Oh God, my dear God, please keep your love. I don't need it. I don't want it. I am already happy and proud loving and respecting my own self. If you love me, why put me eventually to death? Don't you love the devil even much more" Look how, after all these centuries, you never bothered to put the devil to death. He is still very much alive and kicking seeing to it that you continue to forgive the sins of the sinner and the crimes of the criminals. By the way, your silly partner, the devil, no longer frightens me! He is such a silly jerk; in fact, it is the devil who needs love from you and wants love from you! Why don't you two kiss and make up and stop playing silly divine games that brings neither gladness nor happiness into our world of darkness! Poch Suzara

No, I Don't Believe

Do any of you dumbsruck faithfools really believe in the existence of God and his angels existing in heaven; and in the existence of the devil and his demons existing in hell? For my part, I say NO! I do not believe in the existence of such monsters in heaven; or, in the existence of such monsters in hell. I have far more important things to believe in than to believe in the existence of such supernatual crap! To begin with, we know absolutely nothing of the exact location of heaven or hell, how in perdition could we know of the existence of a God existing in heaven or the existence of a devil existing in hell? In the meantime, it is all so stupid, isn't: we claim to know this, we claim to know that, but we have yet to know what "knowing" means! Poch Suzara

God Never Believed in the Existence of Other Gods

My Dear Faithfools: Please read carefully God's first commandment: "THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME." This means God never believed in the existence of other gods - and that makes God an ATHEIST! So my dear friends, what is your problem? If God created me to be an atheist - why should that bother or frighten any of you, specially you college-educated faithfools on these pages? Sincerely, Poch Suzara, High School Expelled Student

What Does it profit a Man If he Gains the whole World

What does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, but suffers in the end the lost of his soul in the next world? Matt. 16:26 I asked it before, I ask it again: What does it profit a man if he wins rewards in heaven but leaves his country a worst place than he found it? Obviously, such a man had little reason to have lived. Indeed, such a man saw neither the beauty nor the necessity or even the worth in saving something even more priceless than his silly soul - his own precious mind and precious heart - especially for love of country, love of family, and love of humanity! The Silly Story of Job in the Silly Bible

We are told that the story of Job is an amazing story of faith. The bible described him as the most righteous man of his generation. Yet, God allowed Satan to afflict Job with distress, illness and suffering. When the trials proved too severe, Job faithfully declared: "Though He may slay me, yet will I trust in Him," Job. 13:15 For my part, I have a question for God and a question for Job. First, a question for God: "Out of the billions of people you have already created what was the serious issue with Job worthy of your special attention? Whatever happened to your duty and responsibility as a God to behave like a God to each and everyone of your children otherwise more known as Mankind?" Now a question for Job: "What ever happened to your sense of pride, dignity, and self-respect as a man gifted with a free will? Couldn't you ask God: is all this holy malarkey inextricably mixed with religious baloney worthy of your time and energy? Poch Suzara

We are NOT the Intelligent Masters, but the Silly Victims

My Dear Sir: Please wake up! We are all not the INTELLIGENT MASTERS, but the SILLY VICTIMS of Catholic values and beliefs in our own country, and you expect me to admit to you that I should be happy and proud to have been one such SILLY VICTIM myself? Specially when I was one among the millions in grade school and high school as a student at De la Salle University - one among the one thousand schools, colleges, and universities owned and operated by the Catholic Church in the Philippines! Poch Suzara

Filipino Family Degraded by Silly Values and Sick Beliefs

Thanks to Catholic silly values and sick beliefs in the Philippines the "father" in the Filipino family is the priest whom we addressed as "Father" and he is not even suppose to be a family man, but a bachelor! Again, thanks to Catholic silly values and sick beliefs in the Philippines, my 4 sisters are not that real. My real sisters are the nuns who teach in Catholic grade school and high school. We all address them as "sister." Again, thanks to Catholic values and beliefs in the Philippines, we address as "Brother" the La Salle Christian Brothers teachers in our school - De La salle University. For my part, I have no brother in our family. But I refuse to believe that the Christian Brothers in La Salle are my "Brothers?" Fuck that Christian Brother shit! I said it before, I say it again: to hell with all these Catholic "Father" and Catholic "Sister" and Catholic "Brother" religious bullcrap! They degrade the dignity of the Filipino family primarily composed of mother, father, sons, and daughters! Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

Adam and Eve Had Faith in God

Let's take a closer look at Adam and Eve - they were NO atheists. They both believed, loved, and venerated, but also had faith in God. They even met God personally and talked to him directly. But look how Adam and Eve ended up like a couple of damned faithfools. God inspired the Talking Serpent (also gifted with a free will) - to get Adam and Eve to be guilty of the Original Sin! As if Adam and Eve originated anything in this world to begin with! In the meantime, my dear reader, haven't you as yet noticed the silly maka-dios politicians as the corrupt leaders of our poor and backward country? They never stop to declare that it is not only the WILL of the people, but the WILL of God that made them the Barangay captains, chief of police, mayors, governors, congressmen, and senators, not to mention the chief justice of the Supreme court. For my part, as a high school expelled student of some 65 years ago, I am still asking today: GOD, WHAT ARE YOU A GOD FOR? Specially a GOD for the HERE AND NOW? A God for the living? And not a GOD for the dead, not a God for that the pie-in-the-sky, for that silly life after death later by and by? Oh God, my dear God, you obviously do not exist! But if you do exists, you must be a supernatural Monster, if not a supreme Jerk surrounded by a lot of angelic saps! Poch Suzara

My Own Charity Activities

I have my own charity activities. On an average, I donate 8,000 pesos a month or 96,000 pesos a year or some $200 a month out of my SSS benefits from the US and from my monthly Philippine social security benefits. It has been ongoing since 1990 and official receipts tell me that I already donated more than 2.5 millions pesos during these past 24 years. In the meantime, down through the years, my real interests and concerns have been - doing my charity best to expose the LIES AND DECEPTIONS that historically have been keeping us filipinos spiritually poor as a people and morally bankrupt as a nation. Most of my catholic friends, classmates, schoolmates, and associates think of me as only always CURSING THE DARKNESS which is really the highest of ridiculosity. On the contrary, what could be more brightening than to expose the nature of the darkness around us which is what the sick system of basic Catholic education has been mostly about? Indeed, the commercial enterprises more known as schools, colleges, and universities own and managed tax-free by the Catholic church in our poor and backward country - the only Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century!
