Animals

"The total amount of suffering in the natural world is beyond all decent contemplation. For most animals, reality is a business of struggle, suffering and sudden death." Richard Dawkins

Nevertheless, for my part, as an atheist, I have every respect for all the animals existing in the natural world. They do not make me sick having faith in God. None of them pray to God to forgive them of their sins and crimes. They are exempted. Animals do not believe in life after death with God in heaven; or believe in life after death with the devil in hell. I envy the animals. They are not pretentious. They have no faith in any of the great religions of the world. Poch Suzara

First of all, there's no such thing as "total amount of suffering." Each individual suffers it's appointed suffering and that is it. No one experiences anything more than that.

Second, there is very little sudden death in the animal word. Being eaten alive is the norm.

Third there are no sins or crimes in Darwinism. What humans call rape is simply spreading one's genes. What humans call murder is protecting one's territory. What humans call theft is obtaining food by any means possible. It is left to the atheist to squirm this way and that in explaining why these actions are wrong for our species but not wrong for any other.
