The child’s fear and sense of helplessness have always been at the foundation of the great religions of the world. Especially Christianity. Jesus said: “Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
For my part, I love children. I want them, however, to grow up and live the good life – one inspired by love and guided by knowledge. I don’t want children, like a bunch of religious morons, to end up in the kingdom of heaven. In fact, I want my own children to try and leave this world one day a better place than how they found it.
