Freedom and Democracy in our Sick Country

Oh My dear Mencken, in the Philippines, democracy and the freedom to enjoy thoughtlessness are the best of friends. The majority of college-educated men and women in our country prefer delusion to truthful realization. Delusion has more to do with blind faith; especially for the sake of our biblical confusion. In the meantime, Filipino Christians love only theocracy. They hate democracy as it means the freedom of thought, of inquiry, and indeed, the freedom to question everything.
