Life's Greatest Joy

"Life's greatest joy is the sure hope of heaven." Philippine Star, Jan. 20, 2015... We atheists, however, have a far more delightful kind of joy in life: we enjoy trying our best to leave this world one day as a better place than how we found it; not necessary in the material, but in the humanitarian sense. Indeed, we atheists are more into the pleasures of lively analysis. We have no taste in life to be miserable or to be frightened with deadly paralysis! Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

Poch, you may be happy from time to time, but your happiness depends on happenings, and they are not long lasting. I don't buy your sentiment that you have a delightful kind of joy in life. Life without God is ultimately meaningless. In a world without God, men and women, boys and girls are nothing more than the biological results of random mutations and naturalistic chance. In the grand scheme of things, individual lives have no ultimate purpose or significance. People are simply highly-evolved protoplasm with legs and brains --- here today and gone tomorrow. Blessings! Ken, happiness is nonetheless true happiness because it must come to an end, nor do thought and love lose their value because they are are not everlasting. Ken, nothing last forever. Not even our troubles. Cheers! Poch Suzara

Poch, I’m much too cynical of your humanistic happy-talk. It seems that all you do is whine and gripe. You complain too much. Perhaps you find pleasure and happiness in grumbling. The difference between atheists and believers is this: you blame others (God, Catholics, religion, faith, etc.) for your problems. Not only do you blame God, but you target His followers, and hold them accountable for the world’s problems. You think you have better answers, and the only thing standing in the way of you implementing your atheistic society is the religious convictions of so many people. I think that’s what makes you happy and sad at the same time; that you are better than others, but you are prevented from getting rid of those who are not as bright as you. You believe you should control the wealth they produce, and use it for your own ends. You further believe that they should turn their children over to you for what you call education, but which is atheistic brainwashing, really. Blessings! Ken Sidadayaw
