Born Ignorant, Not Stupid

For the most part, school, colleges, and universities are places where students are frightened to accept answers to questions that they have not even raised. Thus, we are a nation of frightened believers; hardly a nation of courageous thinkers. We are all born ignorant, not stupid. We are made stupid by education. Poch Suzara

I agree! Why is that so? I believed there are still too many friars in our midst in charge of DepEd, Businesses and governments. They wear Barong Tagalog and in coats and tie.

Ambeth R. Ocampo says that the Rizal Course is not being taught as it should be and as desired by Claro M. Recto in 1959.

There are no standard syllabus, no teacher's training, no passion to teach the subject. So, some students of UP call it Putang Ina 100 (PI-100 course code). In another universities they call it Putang Inang Rizal 'yan?

This is a functional blindness that we as a people have developed over the years under the Spanish tutelage, as you say about 400 years now?

Many do not really see the problem. But some are. You see better. There is hope then.

My friend, indeed, millions do not see the problem which is this: The power and authority that had Jose Rizal arrested, jailed, and publicly executed is still pretty much here and now with more power and more authority. It is called "Christianity." Poch Suzara

Poch, I must reiterate that the use of the label Christianity for the deeds of the friars is misleading.

I must reiterate that it is false religion masquerading as Christianity that is the most deceiving in the last 400 years.

Yup, we thought we have driven the enemy in 1896 but what many do not know and realized is that they remain in the deep recesses of our mind. They stayed there and drive all our thinking, doing and speaking. Yes, our politics mimics the 19th century friar rule.

This is friar driven thinking that we are unwittingly following blindly because the "church" are in a way acting in the same manner.

Well I do not know if this is what you mean by being the Philippines as a Vatican Province.

To me it is the mind that is the problem here. The 400 years of scripting which Rizal died for and work for but very sad that they are still around. You know what, I suspect that is the main reason why our education do not want Rizal Course be taught as it should be. There must be an unseen enemy manipulating and trying to maintain the 19th century status quo. We need another revolution!

Many are collaborators in the perpetration of the same.
