In this already 21st century, if we were to enjoy global sanity, we must all begin to realize and accept the fact that churches, cathedrals, mosques, temples, synagogues, and pagodas have always been and still are nothing but monuments to human stupidity.

You are probably right that those structures are all monument to and of stupidity. Remember the tower of Babel?
God is actually present, but our behavior does not disproved about his existence; it is a proof about His gift that we are free to choose His ways or any other way. That is a testimony of and about God's presence and existence.
How about the devil? Why does it not bother God when it comes to the devil's behavior with a free will too? Look at the devil - still alive and kicking; especially in the Philippines - the only christian country in Asia since the 16th century. Poch
What about the Devil? Of course it does not only bothered GOD,troubled is the word maybe. He (Jesus) has come (Incarnation), died to reconcile us with the Creator because of the Devil's doing, resurrected that seal and finalized the Devil's defeat and obliteration. Ascended that made all humans divine, free from the fall that led us to a captivity in thoughts, words and deeds that is why you are asking about the world's ways. A very disagreeable ways since the majority of humanity are not yet completely aware of Jesus' first coming and it's impact to the whole creation. But all will, this is a given. You too!
