Poverty, Stupidity, Insanity as the Holy Trinity

Satan took Jesus to a mountaintop and showed him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory in them, saying: “All these things I will give thee if thou wilt fall down and worship me.” Matt. 4:8-9. . . Was Jesus such a mediocre fellow, a simpleton, gullible enough not to have questioned Satan? When and how did Satan acquire the legal rights and the Torren Titles registered to those kingdoms of the world?. . . In the meantime, think how well Jesus could have served as the king of kings. As the emperor of the world. Think of the brilliant and loving things he could have made happen with such power, could have ruled with such great authority. He could have created a social system to remedy poverty. Done much to equalize wealth. Established universal education. Instituted civil liberties. Brought peace among warring nations. He could done all this and, through such service, established global peace, tranquility, and sanity. He could have gone down in world history as not only the most powerful, but also the most wise, the most just, the most kind, and the most humane king that ever graced the human race. . . But no. Jesus, instead, declared: “Love not this world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.” John 2:15. . . Thus, poverty and stupidity and insanity are one and the same holy trinity otherwise more known as Christianity; especially in the Philippines – the only Christian country in Asia since the 16th century. Poch,

We are a Christian nation but do we follow what the Church teaches ? We allow corruption is the answer why the Philippines is in this situation.

Corruption is not a Church teaching.

Poch is an atheist. Atheists do not believe in the Bible or any 'holy' book. 'Revelation' is just another fairy tale for us. I'm sure he has read it. Besides, a lot of atheists became one after reading the bible!

"We are a Christian nation..." No, we're not! We don't call it the Christian Republic of the Philippines. It is a secular country with a majority of Christian (comes in so many different varieties!) citizens. Not everybody follows what the Church (I suppose the Roman Catholic variety) teaches. Contraception is not allowed by the RCC but a big percentage of Catholic women and men uses it. Most politicians are Catholics and some of them are very public in their worship. You may be right that corruption is not a church teaching. The following are some other examples of church teachings that Filipino Christians DO NOT follow: stoning people working on the Sabbath, kill gays and lesbians, execute those who break the Sabbath, slavery, kill disobedient children, kill people with different religious beliefs, cross-dressing, kill people not listening to priests - just a few examples. Oh, by the way, I want to know if you consider Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses Christians. Just asking!

So you are the official attack dog of Pock. If Poch doesnt believe in God then why does he blame Him for death ? Please explain that to me.

No, I'm not his official attack dog. He doesn't know me. Does it bother you that I am responding to you instead of him? He is a pit bull, I'm just a lovable retriever.

He's being sarcastic! Is that too difficult to understand?

"..Your understanding of Christianity is so so.."

Most Catholics don't read the Bible and are not aware of those passages that I mentioned. They are only familiar with Bible stories that are read in church, oftentimes, the good stories. They do not know that 'purgatory' and the rosary are two examples of Catholic inventions. Recently, another Catholic invention, the 'limbo' was officialy placed in the trashbin of history by the Vatican.

So, are these lies and they don't appear in the inerrant Bible?

You are, I'm not! I already told you that it is a secular country with a majority of Christian (comes in so many different varieties!) citizens. It is not a theocracy, like Iran is an Islamic Republic.

".. find out what we Catholics really believe."

I know what you believe. I am still officially a Catholic. I haven't been excommunicated, like Hitler.

There is a proper way to read the bible and you are not doing it

Your Catholicism is hardly Catholic. You are closer to the protestant in understanding

Rosary and purgatory are biblical, the Church cannot just invent its teachings. See I told you, your Catholicism is protestant.

Very lame answer from a Catholic apologist. The proper way is to interpret it the way you like it!

It doesn't matter, I'm an atheist now. You may be right though that I'm protestant-leaning. It's because of the absurdities of the Catholic version of Christianity. It doesn't mean that Protestantism is more reasonable! They're all the same - belief in an imaginary god.

Talk is cheap. Back it up! I'm waiting.

There you go, an admission that those I mentioned are in the Bible. You can have simply said 'yes', but it's alright.
