Humility same as Stupidity in Cahoots with Insanity

"Humility towards God makes us gentle towards others." Philippine Star, January 14, 2015... This is not true. It is a lie. In the Philippines, with all humility, we Filipinos all love God up there by hating each other down here. Indeed, in the meantime,"faith" like "humility" continues to be popular because it makes mental laziness and stupidity virtues. Less comfortable qualities like intelligence, honesty, and intellectual courage are damned as the influence of Satan. In fact, the word, "Lucifer" means "bringer of light." And Satan was cast into hell for opening man's eye, for bringing enlightenment to the human mind. Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

Poch, your spin on Scripture is erroneous. Jesus expects his followers to love their neighbors, even their enemies. God despises the proud but gives grace to the humble. God expects his subjects to have dominion over the earth. They are to use their God given intelligence to be creative, to discover, to explore, and to invent new things for the good of mankind. Have you ever read Proverbs? God rebukes the lazy, the slothful, the indolent, those who love to sleep. And God demands honesty from his followers. They are to work hard even if the boss is not looking. Poch, in a godless world, how can you live in all honesty? I've got a scenario for you. You're living next to a large bank and you found a trap door that would lead you into their vault and there are billions of dollars in there. There's so much money that if you took two million they would not even know about it. You could take two million dollars and would not get caught for sure. Will you take the money? In a godless universe, what prevents you from stealing the money?

Ken, I will take the money and give it to the poor like I do every month. I give around 30 % of my social security pension out of the USA and Philippines to my street children where I live. Cheers! Poch Suzara

Ken, I also have already donated to charity in the Philippines about 3 millions pesos since I started doing so yearly since 1986. I have the receipts for them if you care to see them. By the way Ken, I am on the side of humanity because of my sense for human decency. I do not give a hoot for divinity as I have no taste for the existence of a holy trinity. Cheers! Poch Suzara

Poch, I am not saying that atheists are incapable of doing good deeds. I believe that God has written his moral law in the hearts of men whom he created in his image. Some have more seared or callused conscience than others. But in a godless world, why be selfless and generous and kind? Why not live for self, with greed and selfishness? Dawkins, Harris and Hitchens say that greed or selfishness aren't good or bad; they are simply conducive or non-conducive to survival. Survival, I take it, is the source for all atheistic/Darwinian ethics. This seems to reduce all ethics to: "if it's good for me, it is right." I see more than a few problems with the "survival" ethic. For one, the problem is that this is purely subjective. It is a "human-concocted" value. It may "feel" right to you Poch, but how do you know that survival should be the supreme value in your life? Who or what has revealed this to you? Blessings!

Ken, it is so regrettable that you do not or have not read your bible seriously as you should. Here, from the bible is the kind of God you believe who created our world: I FORM THE LIGHT AND CREATE DARKNESS: I MAKE PEACE AND CREATE EVIL: I THE LORD DO THESE THINGS. Isaiah 45:7, Judges 9:23, 1 Sam 16:14, and 2 Thess 2:11. Of course the sick believers believe in such a sick God who also declared that GOD IS NOT THE AUTHOR OF CONFUSION. 1 Cor.14:33. Cheers! Poch, I don't accept your assessment that I do not or have not read the Bible seriously. Nor do I believe you truly regret that I have not reached up to your expectation, for in a godless world I have not really committed any sin of omission. In an atheistic universe, how would you account for evil? If you are a relativist, or a nihilist, there is no such thing as good or evil. You only have preferences. So you don't even have a principled complaint against God for creating evil. Blessings! Ken Sidadayaw
