The Horrors in Nature as God's Divine Plan
Neither love without knowledge, nor knowledge without love can produce a good life. In the Middle Ages, when pestilence appeared in a country, holy men advised the population to assemble in churches and pray for deliverance; the result was that the infection spread with extraordinary rapidity among the crowded masses of supplicants. This was an example of love without knowledge. The late war afforded an example of knowledge without love. In each case, the result was death on a large scale... Bertrand Russell. . . In the Philippines, a powerful typhoon Yolanda hit the province of Samar, Tacloban. It destroyed billions of pesos worth in farm land, properties, and assets such as homes, hotels, schools, commercial and residential and government buildings, hospitals, roads and bridges, and also caused the death of more than ten thousand innocent Filipinos. Quite a lot of them, as inspired by the love of God, went inside damaged churches to pray for deliverance. Instead, they experienced more of the activated horrors of nature in their respective provinces as willed by God's divine plan... Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

Poch, as an atheist, what can you say about typhoon Yolanda and its effects? Would you say that it was just a natural event driven by natural causes and has to be seen as an integral part of the natural order of things? Are you going to say that there was absolutely nothing wrong with it? Are you going to say, these things happen, deal with it? Poch, can you live consistently with your worldview? Blessings! My dear Ken, nobody is perfect, not even you. So why are bothered by the fact that I too am not perfect? Shame on you Ken! Cheers and take care my good friend. Poch
