My Wicked Dream
My religious friends and relatives believe me to be a wicked man as I related to them my dream: to establish a public library in every town in the Philippines. And the main part of those public libraries will also serve as the Center of Information for family planning and birth control for both college school boys and college girls and for married and un-married couples. The Greatest Curse
Religion has been the greatest curse to mankind. Its services and promises are nothing compared to the damage religion has done to the human brain for clear and honest thinking. Indeed, the human brain that’s needed for developing not only man’s high standard of living, but more especially for cultivating man’s higher standard of thinking. More to the point, however, Bertrand Russell aptly put it this way: “I think religion has done a great deal of harm, largely by sanctifying conservatism and adhesion to ancient habits by sanctifying intolerance and hatred.” Poch Suzara
Filipino problems
The Filipino problems we face today cannot be solved at the same level of thoughtlessness we were at yesterday when we created such problems. But then again, in this only Christian country in Asia, who cares for the power of ideas, especially those in the free market of ideas? I ask: how can we ever enjoy a healthy and a growing democracy when such form of government is utterly worthless unless based upon the power of human knowledge? Poch Suzara
What American Values
In America, under the leadership of George W. Bush, the Ten Commandments of God are far more valuable than the ten amendments of the Constitution. Indeed, for the sake of waging war against other countries such as Iraq, never mind the Bill of Rights. Just enjoy the rights and the insanity of paying your share of the war bills. No doubt, as president of the USA, and his warlike solutions to global problems, George W Bush is a grace to American race; unfortunately, however, to the human race – a disgrace. Poch Suzara
American College Graduates
Most American college graduates believe that Jesus is their personal Lord and Savior. No need therefore to wonder why the Christian Americans have no qualms about going to war to get rid of the Muslims for not believing in Jesus as the Son of God. It is really tragic. Jesus is mentioned by name 93 times in the 15 different chapters of the sacred scripture of Islam. Jesus in the Quran is called a prophet, a messenger, a Word from God, the Messiah, and one inspired or aided by the Spirit of God. Poch Suzara
No Travel Document
None of us had travel documents when we arrived on this planet. We carried neither a passport nor a visa. In this world, therefore, technically speaking, we are all illegal aliens. Fortunately, we are legal citizens of this or that country. Hopefully, one day, we will all be even more fortunate: We will become citizens of the world under one government. It would all really depend on the intellectual vision of those with aims and ambitions who are already in charge as heads of the United Nations in this 21st century. Poch Suzara

Insanity versus Jazz
My critics say that I may be an insane fellow as evident by my insane writings. I totally agree. The only time I feel the joys of sanity, however, is when I am with my sane, young, and beautiful sweetheart, the freethinker that as she is; or, when I am playing the drums. Indeed, I am a jazz drummer. My sweetheart is a jazz lover too. We both think that devoid of mainstream jazz - life in this world is not worth living. Ah jazz, it surpasses only love – a rhythm, harmony and a melody by itself. Poch Suzara
As A Devout Atheist
As a devout atheist I wish I had the time to hate the Christians, the Jews and the Muslims. However, as I painfully see the great religious believers of our world already pretty much inspired, if not embroiled in hate, especially hate of themselves, if not hate of one against the other, I thought I’d better devote my energy to studying and understanding evil otherwise also popularly known as the great religions of the world. Poch Suzara
Descendants From Apes
I envy the apes in the jungle. None of them are known to be religiously insane or politically stupid. None of them heard about the Word of God. Apes do not go to war to kill other apes in God’s name. Apes do not pray inside a church, or worship inside a Mosque, or adore inside a synagogue. In fact, if there were anything that’s immoral with the apes, it is that they evolved into becoming Christians, or Muslims, or Jews whose existence continue to keep our world wracked in hatred – always a threat to peace on earth and goodwill to all men. Poch Suzara
The Curious Cat
Curiosity killed the cat. At least, before she died, the cat with a bit of wisdom, was curious. And to think that curious cats never attended Catholic universities all established under the inspiration of divine wisdom in the Philippines. Poch Suzara
In This 21st Century Philippines
In this 21st century Philippines, we Filipinos are still calling on the Lord to ask him for the grace to make us worthy of His healing our land. When the wounds, however, do not get healed, we do not blame the Lord; instead, like silly children, we blame each other. I ask: what has any one individual born a Jew in Israel some 2,000 years ago, and who could not even heal the wounds of his own country, have anything to do with healing the wounds in the Philippines? Golly, to think that Israel is not a Christian country; it is a Jewish State. To think further that as far as the Jewish ancient history is concerned, Jesus, the Son of God, never existed. Specially the Jesus who walked on water or changed water into wine at a banquet where the invited guests were already inebriated. Poch Suzara
If Jesus
If Jesus had only the capacity to have shown men how to conquer fear and ignorance with the power of knowledge, at this time surely, his devout Christian followers should already be enjoying peace on earth and spreading goodwill to all men. Sadly, instead of inventing the microscope to help improve the science of medicine; or, inventing the telescope to help improve the science of astronomy; or, since he worked part time at it, inventing the tools to help improve the art of carpentry, Jesus instead invented faith – the faith of a childlike innocence and trust to misguide the human capacity away from the good life inspired by love and guided by knowledge. Poch Suzara
Free Will
How wonderful of God to have gifted me with a free will to choose whether I would like to go to heaven or to hell. How terrible, however, I can only choose eternal salvation in heaven or eternal damnation in hell only after I am dead, and not while I am still alive. But then again, if I truly have free will, should I not be able to totally reject choosing either destination as I would rather just be left alone? Poch Suzara
Heretics
Hypatia, for being a heretic, was killed by Bishop Cyril of the Catholic Church in the 5th century. Bruno, a Catholic monk, but for being a heretic, was burned to death by Cardinal Robert Bellarmine of the Catholic Church in the 15th century. The Catholic Church also committed the same crime against Jose Rizal in 1896 for a being a heretic. He was executed by musketry. The Church even lied to the Catholic community that Rizal retracted before he died. In this 21st century, as a devout and a faithful heretic myself, I sing to the Catholic Church: “What now my love, now that you have found me!” Poch Suzara
The Revealed Truth
Ironically, the truth behind the REVEALED TRUTH has yet to be REVEALED. Otherwise, why are there ten thousand different sects of Christianity misunderstanding and fighting each other over what is the true nature of the revealed truth? In the meantime, where is the Universal God who has yet to reveal, for the whole of mankind, one universal religion? Poch Suzara
Atheist Are Not Communists
There are indeed religious morons who believe that all atheists are communists. This is not true. Henry Ford, Andrew Carnegie, Clarence Darrow, Luther Burbank, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, Thomas Edison, Mark Twain, H. L. Mencken, Abraham Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson, Marlon Brando, Katharine Hepburn, Carl Sagan, Albert Einstein, and Bertrand Russell - just to name a few, were all atheists. You would be a religious moron if you believe that such great and famous atheists were also communists. Poch Suzara
The Jews
Israel is the Police Dog guarding the American oil deposits in the Middle East. One day, science will discover new sources of energy better and cheaper than oil. At that time, as soon as those new energy sources are in the open market, the Americans will have to find other kinds of employment for the Jews in the Middle East. Poch Suzara
Not Fighting God
I am not fighting God. More precisely, I am fighting the concept of God based upon ignorance that’s primarily responsible for the destruction of the Filipino mind and heart since the 15th century. It was at that time that the Spanish colonizers arrived to introduce the Christian God in the Philippines that has never ceased to make a mockery of this “Pearl of the Orient,” or better known these days, as the “Payatas of the Orient.” Poch Suzara
Who
Who, in the world of science and technology, have we tried to seek out to express our sense of gratitude especially to those atheistic scientists who invented the cellular phone and the Internet computer for us? The same scientific machines we all miraculously utilize everyday to spread the Word of God – the same Word of God that’s forever keeping the Filipino poor in science as a people and keeping the Philippines backward in technology as a nation? Poch Suzara
Science and Religion
Science improves with the never-ending pursuit of the honest truth. Religion, always at variance with mortality, improves only when put to rest in peace in a cemetery. Poch Suzara
In The End
Our entire world is only one grain of sand called earth circling around another grain of sand called the sun in a galaxy that contains 400 million other grains of sands called stars, and is itself only one of the billions of countless galaxies. Our own sun will eventually grow old and cold one day, and life on this earth will cease to exist. The cosmos, however, will continue to exist, utterly apathetic as to whether or not there exists for mankind a divine Savior. Poch Suzara
Silly Theologians
While the silly theologians have been arguing back and forth as to how best to serve the multitudes for Christ’s sake, specially in the modern world, - atheist Albert Schweitzer, more than a century ago, already disclosed: “There is no higher religion than public service. To work for the common good is the greatest creed.” Poch Suzara
Is Christianity A Failure
The failure of Christianity is symbolized in the statue of Christ crucified on the cross. Indeed, If his mission on earth to save man were a success, statues of the Risen Christ would be colorfully displayed everywhere in the Christian world. But then again, what was the purpose of dying on the cross when Christ possessed the miraculous power to resurrect Himself back to life? Moreover, after he resurrected, why did He surreptitiously appear only to His apostles, and not to the public at large among whom were those who had Him crucified – the unbelievers of the faith – the Jews! Poch Suzara
Possible With God
Is it possible for God to commit suicide? No, because suicide is a mortal sin and God killing Himself might end up in hell. But then again, God in hell is not such a big of a deal. His theologians have always claimed that God is everywhere anyway. Poch Suzara
Bertrand Russell and Fidel Castro
I love and respect Bertrand Russell of England. I also have the greatest admiration for Fidel Castro of Cuba. Both gentlemen have had the honor of frightening the United States government. Russell with the power of philosophy promoting pacficism. Castro with the power to go against the American economy for the sake of communism. Such great men are indeed a rarity in our world of global militarism protecting neither liberty nor democracy, but only crass commercialism. Poch Suzara
Religious People
Imagine the religious people of this world. They would rather hope after death to meet not their ancestors, but look forward only to meeting an invisible creator called “God.” The same God in the bible who defined Himself as “I am who I am.” For my part, if there is life after death, I look forward to be with my parents, grandparents and great-grandparents once again. Specifically, I would like to meet and be with my maternal great-grandmother Lola Titay. While I was a little boy, I remember her often taking me not to church to pray, but to places like the Santa Ana Race Tracks in Manila to play the horses. I also remember we would always stop to smell flowers along the way home. I never knew it then, but I think she was an atheist. If indeed, I will ever see her again in the next life – I will embrace her as one of my most loveliest and kindness of relatives. Poch Suzara
The Kindness of God
During ancient times, God had the kindness to send an angel to console and to assist a Jewish pregnant girl. In this modern times, however, he continues to ignore the millions of mothers and their children struggling to survive daily in the slums of the major cities in the Philippines – the only Christian country in Asia. Poch Suzara
What If
What if, after death and in heaven, we find, surprisingly, that God turned to be a Filipino? Shall we still be able to love, worship, and adore Him? No, of course not. Everybody knows God is a Jew. He is not even an Arab. How can God be a Filipino? As a matter of fact, according to the bible, God made not man, but made only the Jews – in His own image and likeness. Poch Suzara
Misery and Democracy
Christianity has survived during these past centuries because it insured for herself what precisely it feeds on – human misery. Indeed, Christianity has always had a vested interest in human misery. Of course, it is not called misery. It is more popularly known as “sacrifice.” Nevertheless, misery is best defined as a state of chronic suffering and unhappiness. Christianity has even made a mockery of our democracy by seeing to it that we Filipinos continue to be under a theocracy and therefore, in the here and now, to live in misery and indeed, in poverty both spiritually and morally. And the most effective way to maintain these horrors is to see to it that there is no such thing as government education sponsoring family planning and birth control measures practice in our democracy as blessed by Catholic theocracy. Poch Suzara
I Am Often Ask
I am often asked why am I angry with divinity. I continue to reply that: “I am not only angry at divinity, but also angry at human stupidity as inspired by traditional theology.” As a little boy in school, I was taught to believe that “anger” is one of the seven deadly sins. I vehemently disagreed. Specially as my teachers could get angry at me but I could not get angry at them for teaching me not how to think; only what to believe; especially to believe in a lot of holy garbage such as a foreigner, a Jewish fellow born in a foreign land some 2,000 years ago is the Savior of the Filipinos in the Philippines. Hitler's Christianity
Hitler's Christianity
To deny the influence of Christianity on Hitler and its role in World War II, means that you must ignore history and forever bar yourself from understanding the source of German anti-Semitism and how the WW2 atrocities occurred.
By using historical evidence of Hitler's and his henchmen's own words, this section aims to show how mixing religion with politics can cause conflicts, not only against religion but against government and its people.
Hitler wrote: "I believe that I am acting in accordance with the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jew, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.." As a boy, Hitler attended to the Catholic church and experienced the anti-Semitic attitude of his culture. In his book, Mein Kampf, Hitler reveals himself as a fanatical believer in God and country. Seig Heil! Praise the Lord!

God Almighty Insecured
If ye walk contrary unto me, and will not harken unto me; I will bring seven times more plagues upon you according to your sins. I will send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, and destroy your cattle, and make you few in number; and your highways shall be desolate. Leviticus 26: 21-22
To Please God
Six million people do things everyday to please God as if His supernatural power were that worthless in that He could not, instead, please six billion people on this earth today. Poch Suzara
History
History of most countries is about the struggle between tradition and revolution. Revolution usually means change for the better. In the Philippines, however, history is about the play between religious stupidity and politically insanity in cahoots together. The changes have never been for the better. It's the same history of missed opportunities. In fact, the political clowns together with religious clowns end up to be in charge of the same old historical circus that is keeping the Filipino religiously poor as a people and keeping the Philippines politically backward as a nation. Poch Suzara
Bible Scholars
It is glaringly obvious, if not alarmingly translucent that not all of the bible scholars were inspired by the same Holy Spirit; for, if they were, they would all belong as members of the same church today. Throughout the world, there are more than 10,000 different sects of Christianity each hating the other due to, if not because of, the failure to uniformly understanding bible messages. Poch Suzara

SILLY OPINION
Opinion is the only thing known to science that can be created out of nothing. Compared to facts, however, an opinion is worthless unless it accords with the truth.
We are often told that everybody has a right to his or to her own opinion. This is not true. One does not have the right to an opinion at all. You are not entitled to an opinion on anything unless you have thoroughly studied all aspects, indeed, every facet of the issue in question. In fact, as soon as you are thoroughly familiar with the issue in question, then you are entitled to your own honest opinion. Otherwise, if you were totally ignorant of the the nature of the issue in question, you have no right to have an opinion.
In the meantime, millions upon millions of Filipinos have the opinion that the Revealed Truth has already been revealed in the bible. This is not true. Millions upon millions of Filipinos do not bother the read the the bible. It contains not the revealed truth, but the revealed lies and deceptions. Poch Suzara
Faith
We do not speak of faith that the world is round because we already know that it is not flat. Indeed, there is all the room in the world for faith if we do not know what exactly we are talking about and we only want to substitute hard thinking for no thinking at all. Poch Suzara
God
I take God seriously and that is why I do not believe in God. God is such a supernatural wimp, not to mention always sleeping on the job. God has yet to figure out not the beginning but the ending of his so-called “creation.” What a waste of power! Too bad I was not around when God created man on this earth. I would have given Him a few suggestions. I would have suggested that he create a decent mother first and at the same time create decent men around her. In this way, she could produce decent sons and decent daughters. That would have been the decent thing to do; and natural too. And never mind creating Talking Serpents corrupt from the tail down to the core of its own belly! Poch Suzara
What Makes me Happy
A great many things make me happy. Among the greatest is the thought that the Catholic Church is crumbling. I am so happy with the thought that there will be less Catholic schools established in the Philippines to victimize in the future more innocent children with the teachings of the Catholic religion. Imagine in this 21st century, Filipino children are still taught to love, worship, and adore Jesus Christ. This is the same Jesus Christ who was born not in the Philippines, but in Israel some 2,000 yeara ago. Israel has never been a Christian country. It is a Jewish State. Thus, in Israel a synagogue is a place of worship. A cathedral is a monument to historical mediocrity. In the Philippines, however, a catheral is a place of worship. A synagogue is a monument to historical insanity. Poch Suzara
Our College Graduates
Look at our college graduates as president and vice-president of the Republic; as congressmen and Senators; and as our governors and city mayors; not to mention as chief of police. These highly educated individuals, for the sake of the forgiveness of sin and crime will even run to the bishops, another group of men with college degrees whose religious duty it is to keep the Filipino spiritually poor as a people and to keep the Philippines morally bankrupt as a nation. Poch Suzara
The Voice of God
The Catholic Bishops often remind us that the voice of the people is the voice of God. I ask: where was then the voice of God to protect the first people - Adam and Eve – his first children, our first parents - from the evil voice of the serpent that turned out, according to the bible, to be the voice of the devil? Indeed, the same devil still alive and kicking today making sure that we believe the Catholic Bishops not only daily, weekly, monthly and yearly, but also eternally. Poch Suzara
Christianity
Christianity has always had a vested interest in human misery. Look at our misery as a people. Look how we continue to embrace sick values and sick beliefs mostly derive from our Christian education in our Christian schools, colleges, and universities. Look how we are told that this life is but a transition to a better life to come in the next world. Indeed, if this life were the product of a creator, then the next life, if any, must be more miserable than this life. To think that we humans live on a speck of dust comprising the infinity of galaxies. Poch Suzara
The Ability to Think
Man’s stupidity is mostly due to, if from his infinite capacity to believe the incredible, the gullible, and indeed, to believe the inspired authors of the infallible. On the other hand, the ability to think is basic to what it means to be human. It is also the case that to think freely is basic to a free life. It is sad, however, that so much of human thinking is controlled by religious, political, and other social forces based upon a charade of sacred lies, if not a parade of holy deceptions. Poch Suzara
A Stupid Man
A stupid man who never experienced the thought that he might be stupid will enjoy the security of his stupidity for the rest of eternity. There is no hope for him. But if it sometimes occurred to him that he might be stupid, then there is every opportunity to resurrect his sick mind to make it functional as any healthy mind should be operational. Indeed, a stupid man remains stupid for as long as he remains consistently afraid to entertain new and fresh ideas from the free market of ideas. Poch Suzara
Measured Against Time and Space
Human life on this earth is but a wink of an eye in time. We also live on a speck of dust in an infinity of worlds in space. And to think that an invisible God without a beginning and without an end created little visible parasites called man in his own image and likeness on this earth. Poch Suzara
9/11
9/11 was not caused by the sins of feminists, gays, and lesbians as Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson had both publicly declared. On the contrary, the total destruction of the World Trade Center was caused by the sins of the rotten politicians in cahoots with the crimes of rotten businessmen as blessed by those in charge of rotten organized religions keeping our world traditionally embroiled in hatred. Poch Suzara
Banana Republic
The Philippines is a “Banana Republic?” Please let us not insult the clean and green and beautiful banana. A banana is not only delicious to eat but also a healthy fruit to swallow. How can a republic of corrupt men and corrupt women be called a “banana republic?” You politicians in the government, please spare the innocent and decent banana away your dirty sins and rotten crimes. Poch Suzara
Intelligent Designer
If there were a kind and an intelligent designer of nature, such a designer should have designed the woman’s birth canal to be something not painful, but pleasurable when her baby is coming out. Just as pleasurable as when its father’s male organ was then going in. But then again, if a designer shamelessly designed the male and the female organ, for Christ’s sake, why be shameful of such creation displayed in public? Poch Suzara
Scientific
If you want to be scientific in your way of thinking: you must first learn to value observation, and your conclusion from that observation must be tentative as the conclusions itself must still be under further investigation by way of experimentation. Science is about lively analysis. The scientific way of thinking has nothing to do with deadly paralysis. Indeed, science is always tentative. It is never definite or dogmatic. Science is always ready and willing to admit its own errors as it is a self-correcting enterprise. Poch Suzara
What Truth
July 22, 2005
Manila Standard Today
Dear Editor:
The truth hurts. Is it any wonder political lies have been pleasant, and religious lies have been even more pleasant?
I ask: why is it that politics in cahoots with religion have nothing to do with the truth?
In the Philippines, however, in order to find the truth behind government lies and deception and corruption – a “Truth Commission” must first be established with the inspired proposal from the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines.
In the meantime, if there were only one plain truth so glaringly obvious in our sick society, it is that as products of our schools, colleges, and universities we do not love our flowers and plants and trees. We do not love our creeks and rivers and lakes. We do not love our mountains and forests and islands. As a matter of fact, we do not love our country. We do not even love fellow-Filipinos. We only love God up there by hating one another down here.
For my part, as a Filipino born in the Philippines, I love the truth that I was expelled out of high school in De La Salle University. Indeed, I vehemently refused to continue to believe my silly teachers who were far more in love with what’s useless and divine up there than what is useful and human down here.
Sincerely,
Poch Suzara

Kudos for Walt Whitman
I think I could turn and live with animals, they’re so placid and self-contained, I stand and look at them long and long. They do not sweat and whine about their conditions. They do not lie awake in the dark and weep for their sins. They do not make me sick discussing their duty to God. Not one is dissatisfied, not one is demented with the mania of owning things. Not one kneels to another, nor to his kind that lived thousands of years ago. Not one is respectable or unhappy over the whole earth. Walt Whitman
For my part, if I may add, I envy the animals. They have no need to go to school
to learn how to pray to God to give us this day our daily bread, and to lead us not into temptation; and also how to pray several times daily to St. John Baptist De La Salle, pray for us and live Jesus in our hearts, forever. Not to mention to learn also
how to pray to Mary, Mother of God, to pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death, amen! Poch Suzara

The Fear of Thought
More than the fear of the mysteries and the unknown; in fact, more than the fear of God in hell or the devil in heaven, we fear THOUGHT the most. Especially those thoughts that can, and should generate more power - into our thinking capacity. My dear reader, if you wish to discover why we live in a society that’s well-established in thoughtless ways and means, consider these fearless thoughts from: - Bertrand Russell:
“It will be said that the love of mental adventure must be rare, that there are few who can appreciate it, and that ordinary education can take no account of so aristocratic a good. I do not believe this. The joy of mental adventure is far commoner in the young than in grown men and women. Among children it is very common and grows naturally out of the period of make-believe and fancy. It is rare in later life because everything is done to kill it during education. Men fear thought as they fear nothing else on earth – more than ruin, more even than death. Thought is subversive and revolutionary, destructive and terrible; thought is merciless to privilege, established institutions, and comfortable habits; thought is anarchic and lawless, indifferent to authority, careless of the well-tried wisdom of the ages. Thought looks into the pit of hell and is not afraid. It sees man, a feeble speck, surrounded by unfathomable depths of silence; yet it bears itself proudly, as unmoved as if it were the lord of the universe. Thought is great and swift and free, the light of the world and the chief glory of man.
But if thought is to become the possession of the many, not the privilege of the few, we must have done with fear. It is fear that holds men back – fear lest their cherished beliefs should proved delusions, fear lest the institutions by which they live should prove harmful, fear lest they themselves should prove less worthy of respect than they have supposed themselves to be. “Should the working man think freely about property? Then what will become of us, the rich? Should young men and women think freely about sex? Then what will become of morality? Should soldiers think freely about war? Then what will become of military discipline? Away with thought! Back into the shades of prejudice, lest property, morals, and war should be endangered? Better men should be stupid, slothful, and oppressive than that their thoughts should be free. For if their thoughts were free they might not think as we do. And at all cost this disaster must be averted.” So the opponents of thought argue in the unconscious depths of their souls. And so they act in their churches, their schools, and their universities.”

The Voice of the People
Manila Standard Today
Dear Editor:
Columnist Bishop Theodoro Bacani, Jr. has not ceased claiming that the voice of the people is the voice of God. In fact he has recently wrote that: “God does not speak only through the bishops. Often He speaks through His people.” (July 12,2005)
I ask the good bishop: What about the voice of Adam and Eve as the against the voice of the serpent as that was the voice of the devil in the bible? Where was God’s voice then to protect his children – Adam and Eve - our first parents? Were they not expelled out of paradise? Perhaps, Adam and Eve were both guilty of sin. But our politicians in the government as elected by the voice of God are not only guilty of sin against God, but also guilty of crimes against the State.
For my part, I say, let us stop all this vocal nonsense. Our voice as a people need not be the voice of deviltry as inspired by the voice of divine insanity.
In the meantime, I ask: What have you bishops got to do with matters of the State since you are only suppose to be in charge with matters of the Church? Indeed, if the voice of the people is the voice of God, what need have we of bishops to speak for the people to begin with?
I dare say that you bishops should be among the first to resign to remedy the political and the religious mess that’s keeping this only Christian country in Asia perpetually poor and eternally backward.
Sincerely,
Poch Suzara

Noah’s Flood
Only Noah together with members of his family survived the flood - the drowning of the human race by God as He regretted that He had man on this earth. And to think that Noah was never baptized a Catholic. Poch Suzara
Born Ignorant
We are all born ignorant, not thoughtless. We are made thoughtless by education. For my part, I was expelled out of high school for being such a nuisance always asking my teachers too many thoughtful questions. For example, I asked my teacher in religion to give us the devil’s side of his story since we only heard God’s side. Poch Suzara
Philippine Catholic Bishops
President Gloria M. Arroyo said that God often talks to her. In an interview published in TIME magazine, she openly admitted that it was the Lord who made her president of the Philippines. The Catholic bishops envied her as they admitted she is a very lucky lady since God never talks to them though they too talk to God everyday. Poch Suzara

I love America and the Philippines
I love America – a nation govern by criminals. I love the Philippines – a nation govern by criminals too. There is no escape. After all, life in general is the competition to love the criminals or be the victim of criminals. Poch Suzara
Only in the Philippines
We praise our dead saints to high heavens, but insult those saints we elect into high office to run our government even if all the presidents of the Philippines have always publicly declared that “the Lord put me here.” Indeed, in this country, the voice of the people is the voice of God. And yet Filipino college professors believe I am being thoughtless as I insist that our system of government has always been a theocracy, not a democracy. Poch Suzara
What Then
What if God turned out to be an atheist who never believed in the existence of your God, what then? Or, what if the God you have always loved, worshipped, and adored turned out to be a Goddess, what then? After you are dead, what if in heaven you believe you are in hell; or, what if in hell you believe you are in heaven? What then? Or, what if you were moronic enough not to be able to tell the difference? What then? Poch Suzara
King James Bible
The King James bible is a misnomer. It should be called The Queen James Bible. King James loved men more than he cared for women. Poch Suzara
From a Reader
Florita P. Andolong writes in the Manila Standard Today: “When God is brought into any public discussion, we, the readers, should be very careful. God, his power, and the extent of His wisdom are beyond the understanding of any human being – priests and pastors included. This is what my own faith tells me.” (6/28/2005). Indeed, God’s wisdom is beyond human understanding. And as long as we have faith in what we do not understand, it’s popularly known as “divine wisdom.” Poch Suzara
My Road Less Traveled
Mine is the road less traveled; but I am not lost. Most people have yet to reach their final destination on the road most traveled. In the meantime, to travel anywhere is utterly useless if one cannot change one's self; if one only continues to remain selfish, greedy, stupid, and insane. Poch Suzara
America
America is not only about freedom and democracy. It is also about the insanity behind plutocracy – making money. On top of the money-making schemes are, first, the defense industry – killing people is big business; next is the pharmaceutical industry – selling even needless drugs is big business; next is the food industry – selling food that makes Americans addictive to eating more food is big business; next, is the religion industry – selling Jesus Christ is big business. Golly, even the American government, since decades ago, has been stolen away from the American people by giant corporations. All for the sake of making nothing but money. Indeed, it is glaringly obvious, if not alarmingly translucent: America is about the military - industrial - university complex. Even American university professors are earning big salaries for catering to the needs of the military or any other industry that’s closely allied with the preparation for war to liberate countries not yet enjoying the beauty of American freedom and democracy. God's War
God and his angels have been at war against Satan and his devils since time immemorial. There seems to be no end in sight for God to finally defeat Satan and stop his evil works that’s keeping our world poor, backward, and destructive. And to think that U.S. President George W Bush prays daily to God to help the American angels win the war against the Muslim devils in Iraq fighting for their country as inspired by Allah. Fact and Opinion
Everyone is entitled to know the facts. Nobody has a right to expound his own opinion unless he has explored every facet of the question at issue and is therefore entitled to an opinion. Otherwise, like the great American thinker - Clint Eastwood - said: "Opinons are like assholes. Everybody has got one." Poch Suzara
The Birth of Corruption
Corruption begins in the mind and heart. When our children in school are taught to love not this world, neither the things that are in the world, because if they love the world, the love of God is not with them – it is easy to see the results making for our sick society. And to think all of our so-called sacred values and beliefs have their origin during the age of ancient superstition, the mother of stupidity and the father of timidity. Poch Suzara
Philippine Problems
The Philippines will never embark on a road towards progress and development if she continues to be under the same rule composed of religious morons in cahoots with the same corrupt politicians supporting the same old rotten businessmen. Only men of science and technology can change the rotten system to re-direct the Filipino towards maturity and responsibility as a people and scientific and technological development as a nation. Poch Suzara
Catholicism
It is a clear historical fact – the Catholic Church has successfully kept the Filipino poor and childish as a people and the Philippines immature and uncultivated as a nation. After we Filipinos are all dead and meet with God, I believe we should ask God to forgive us all for having been born in the only Catholic country in Asia. Poch Suzara
Sin
Sin is a ridiculous concept. The created cannot sin against the creator that obviously has more power than the created. To say that we can sin against the creator is to imply that we are just as powerful too. As a matter of fact, we are indeed more powerful: it is we who created our creator. It is we who created our God in our own stupid image and silly likeness. Poch Suzara
Silly Prayers
To teach a child to pray is to teach him how to look to fantasy solution to real problems. But then again, if God were all-knowing, why should he be fatigued with daily prayers? The encouragement of prayer promotes greed, selfishness, stupidity, and insanity. People pray for that for which they have not labored. Prayer also undermines the power of the mind. Prayer causes a weakening of self-reliance and a corresponding deterioration of character. In fact, daily prayers are among the most effective causes that have made us famous as the poor and the Sick Man of Asia. Poch Suzara
Slave Mentality
Filipinos as true Christians are indoctrinated to be slaves, and we know, and do not mind it. The fear of hell has destroyed our spirit of intellectual liberty to no longer work and work hard for social sanity, to no longer question or even entertain any kind of inquiry. Poch Suzara
Poor and Backward
How poor are we as a people and backward as a nation? In this 21st century, we continue to have faith in organized superstition, otherwise more popularly known as Christianity. We have yet to embrace science, logic, mathematics, and reason and our own sense of humanity as the only basis for our system of education. In the meantime, after 500 years of Christianity, even the Catholic Bishops of the Philippines continue to promise that they will carry on the fight for truth and justice in the Philippines as if Christian truth and Christian justice have not yet been established in this only Christian country in Asia Poch Suzara

The Basic Problem of Religion
Whether religion is organized or disorganized makes little or no difference. The problem with religion is the encouragement of stupidity and the inspiration to be amenable not to reality but to fantasy. Such evils are inherent as the basic lessons of religion; not in the organization or lack thereof. Poch Suzara
WHO ARE THE ATHEISTS?
Atheists are not objects to hate, but people just like you to love. The right question to ask is not what, but who are the atheists?
Atheists accept that heaven is something for which we should work now – here on earth – for all mankind together to enjoy.
Atheists accept that we can get no help through prayer but that we must find within ourselves the inner conviction and strength to meet life, to understand the world rationally, and to enjoy it peacefully.
Atheists accept that only in knowledge of one’s self can we live the life of understanding and fulfillment. Therefore, we seek to know fellow-human beings rather than to know a god.
Atheists know that a hospital should be built instead of a church.
Atheists know that a deed must be done instead of a prayer said.
Atheists strive for involvement in life and not escape into death. We want diseases conquered, poverty vanquished, war eliminated. We want mankind to understand and love humankind. We want an ethical way of life. We accept that we cannot rely on a god nor channel action into prayer nor hope for an end of troubles in the hereafter. Atheists accept that we are - in a great sense – our brothers’ keepers in that we are first, keepers of our own lives; that we are responsible persons, that the job is here and the time is now.

WHY AM I AN ATHEIST
Just like priests, bishops, cardinals, popes, and indeed theologians are all born as atheist, I too was born an atheist. Yes, my dear reader, you are born as an atheist too. If you are unable to see this piece of truth, please do not blame me; blame instead your blind faith. No baby has a religion. No baby has faith in God. No baby comes out of mother’s womb a Catholic, or a Muslim, or a Jew, or a Buddhist, or a Hindu. We are all born free and then indoctrinated. In my case, my parents and grandparents were reminded of eternal punishment in hell if they did not have me, as a child, baptized a Catholic. I ask: where was then my own free will to have chosen the kind of religion I should have wished to embrace for myself? At age 18, after having been expelled out of high-school for asking far too many questions, I began to extricate myself up and gradually out of Christian values and beliefs by entertaining the case against God - atheism. The question, “Who made me? cannot be answered, since it immediately suggests the further question, Who made God? If, however, evidences were discovered that as a matter of fact a Goddess made God, I will immediately drop my atheism down the tube.
We all live as parasites on a speck of dust in an infinity of worlds. One million planets the size of earth can fit inside the sun. But 500 of our suns can be swallowed up in one small gulp by a bigger star called “Betelgeuse.” If it were true that a God created man in his own image and likeness, then God must surely be a microscopic perfection lost in self-admiration. In the meantime, if God created everything, including space and time, where was God located before he created space, and when was it before he created time?
As a devout atheist, I believe that the conquest of fear is the beginning of wisdom, as in the search for the truth, and as in the works needed for the good life, - especially the one inspired by love and guided by knowledge. No doubt, in the end, death will conquer us all; but if we must die, let us die sober, and not drunk with lies. Poch Suzara

Respect the Camel
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “ I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” Matt. 19:23-24. This may be so, but in this day and age, it is far easier for a filthy-rich Catholic to enter the gates of Vatican bank - the richest and most powerful bank in the world today. For my part, I have more respect for the camel stuck inside a needle than I do have respect for the rich Catholics already stuck in heaven with Christ Jesus. - Poch Suzara Google# Facebook# Twitter#

Free Will
My parents and grandparents were threatened with hell-fire if they neglected to have me, as a child, baptized in a Catholic church. Obviously, my parents and grandparents had not the free will to ignore the sacrament of baptism? But more to the point: where in hell was my own free will to choose which religion I should have wished to embrace for myself? Free will is a dirty joke.
In La Salle grade school, I was also threatened with eternal damnation forever in hell if I refused to believe that God gifted me with a free will. Of course, whether I wanted to believe or not to believe in free will, I had to believe it whether I liked it or not. I had NO OTHER CHOICE but to believe in free will! Poch Suzara

Self-respect
I am not who you say I am. I am who I say I am. That is the call for self-respect and dignity. Poch Suzara
Failures and Losers
There are a great many failures and losers comprising our sick society. The most popular, however, are those who are always making grand excuses for and in behalf of God who is always sleeping on the job. In the meantime, only those who are strong can afford to doubt. Nothing is so thrilling nevertheless exhausting. Poch Suzara
It’s sad
It’s sad to see grown-up Christians holding on to their most cherished beliefs that are based on fear and ignorance; especially the mask of fear as faith in God and the mask of ignorance as knowledge of God. It is sadder, however, to see grown-up Christians addressed their prayers to God that are similar in form and content to letters children write to Santa Claus. Poch Suzara
Bravo for Women
It may yet be woman’s greatest achievement: to brag that not one of them contributed a chapter, a paragraph, a verse, a sentence, or even a single word written in the holy bible as inspired authors of God. Congratulations! I love you all. Poch Suzara
Atheism and Death
I too will die one day; but I am grateful for having discovered the case against God called “atheism.” Indeed, owing and thanks to atheism, I no longer fear facing my own precious thought about the end of my own precious life one day. Poch Suzara
What’s to Become of Morality
What’s to become of morality if we do not believe in God? What a silly question often asked by those who embrace blind faith. Look at the Christians and Muslims and the Jews in world history: because of their sense of morality via faith in God, they have not ceased hating and killing each other in God’s name. Look at the Anglican Protestants and the Irish Roman Catholics hating and killing each other for God’s glory in Northern Ireland. The religious carnage based upon morality has been going for centuries. Poch Suzara
More Respect
I have respect for General Douglas McArthur. He was a truthful man. During the Second World War, he promised to return with a bigger army to assist fellow soldiers fighting the Japanese in the Philippines. He simply said: - “I shall return” - he did so in two years time.
When Jesus, the Son of God, the miracle worker, the Savior of Filipinos, promised that he will return, he has yet to deliver that promise he made some two thousand years ago.
But then again, I have more respect for Jose Rizal. When he died for his country, he stayed dead. When Jesus died on the cross to destroy the devil, he did not stay dead. He resurrected on the 3rd day presumably to try to find some other ways and means to destroy the stupid devil for good. Poch Suzara
Ripley and Jesus
I have more respect for Ripley than for Jesus. To the best of my knowledge, Ripley has never, not even once, threatened me with eternal punishment if I did not believe in any of his BELIEVE IT OR NOT proposals. Poch Suzara
What If, as an Atheist, I am Wrong?
What if, as an atheist, I will turn out to be completely wrong? That there is, after all, a God? Well, I am not worried because what if it also turns out that God too never had faith nor trust nor confidence in any of man’s great religions!
Really, if God exists, I find it incredible to believe that such a God is a Christian or a Muslim or a Jew or a Hindu or a Buddhist or, for that matter, according to the silly Catholic theologians - God is almighty, eternal, truthful, immutable, infinite, just, incomprehensible, loving, most wise, omnipotent, omniscient, omnipresent, patient, perfect, provident, supreme, and all good and kind but "incomprehensible."
Hijos de tootie-frootie y patooties - how can any one have the gall to believe, love, respect, worship, and adore such a incomprehensible supernatural monster? What a waste of precious life, energy, time, and space - the little of it that we have on this earth as a gift from nature! Poch Suzara
Alms-giving
The Church is pleased with our giving to charity whether it comes from prosperity or even from poverty. But the Church is even more pleased with any kind of giving, especially if it comes from blind faith as inspired by religious insanity. Next only to the US government, the Catholic Church is the richest religious organization in the world today. Poch Suzara
Science
If science comes from God, how come there is not one scientist who was canonized a saint? How come the theologians are frightened of the scientific way of thinking? And how come religion has always been upset, if not always embarrassed with the findings of science correcting the errors cherished by religion? Indeed, if religion comes from God, how come there is not one word mentioned in the bible in praise of human intelligence or the power of science? Poch Suzara
Where is Jesus
It is only after death that Filipinos look forward to meeting Jesus in heaven. As Jesus, however, promised to return some two thousand years ago, I am about the one and only exceptional Filipino who is looking forward to meeting Jesus in person right here and now. Indeed, I hope and pray that Jesus will return soon. In this way, he can begin to straighten out the mess caused by Christian values and beliefs keeping the Filipino poor as a people and the Philippines backward as a nation. As the only Christian country in Asia, what has been the result for the Philippines? Hate and fear and ignorance and poverty pretty much characterize the Filipino way of life. It is, indeed, not only damnable daily, but God-damnable yearly! Poch Suzara
The Poor for the Rich
Jesus said: “If thou be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give it to the poor.” The Church got to be one of the richest organizations in the world as both the rich and the poor sold everything cheap to the Church. And to add insult to injury, valuable assets were confiscated by the Church in God’s name. Look at the prime properties and big corporations own by the Church in the Philippines. As part of religious contributions, the tax free Catholic Church is even able to remit millions of dollars each and every year direct to the Vatican. Poch Suzara
FILIPINO IDENTITY
It turned out that we Filipinos do indeed have a national identity: We are notoriously identified throughout the world as the Sick Man of Asia. In the modern world, instead of seriously considering the power of science and technology to elevate our standard of living and thinking, like lost children, we would rather maintain our Christian way of life to elevate our standard of kneeling and praying. Thus, with deep faith we Filipinos are still waiting that one of these days, by some miracle from heaven – God will finally provide for the Philippines. Poch Suzara
PRAYER
As a devout Catholic years ago, I found myself often times praying with these words: “Oh God, please forgive me. I did not mean to question sacred knowledge today.” After years of this kind of sacred nothing, I decided to throw my prayers out the window and began to question everything. It turned out that the questioning of everything is not only the basis for discovering and maintaining mental health, but it is also the very foundation of spiritual wealth. Poch Suzara
With God
Yes, with God, everything is possible. He could even impregnate a Jewish Virgin Mary with a child in Bethlehem. Unfortunately, God seems to find it impossible to impregnate the millions of virgins with dignity in the Philippines so that they could enjoy social sanity enough not to be too reckless contributing to the insane population explosion that pleases more than anyone else - the Catholic Bishops – the symbol of religious mediocrity, if not social insanity in the Philippines. Poch Suzara
Who Knows
How can any one know anything about God when theology is ignorance of natural causes reduced to a system? When it is the attempt to prove the incredible by an appeal to the unintelligible? Theology is the subject of nothing as it is the study of the unknowable by means of the not worth knowing. Indeed, theology is not what we know about the supernatural; but what we do not know about the natural. Thus, even among the theologians, it is but natural to be incomprehensible specially to other theologians. Poch Suzara
PLAYING GAMES
In my La Salle grade school and La Salle high school years, we were taught to believe that it pleased God to see boys freely playing basketball, football, and handball,or playing around in the Track and Field arena. But never, must we ever, play around with free ideas under the freedom of thought. Such intellectual activities might endanger our silly souls to eternal perdition in hell. Moreover, we were taught to just stick to the old answers; never mind asking new questions! Today, I see my former classmates and schoolmates easily get excited over the play of ball games on TV or in the sport arena; but are easily frightened by, or feel threatened with, new and fresh ideas taken from the free market of ideas. Poch Suzara
FOR THE SAKE OF NOTHING
"In fact, no one lives for himself, nor dies for himself. If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Either in life or in death, we belong to the Lord.” Romans 14:7-8.
Such are examples of holy bible verses that have made the Filipino enjoy the success of religious insanity in the Philippines – the only Christian country in Asia. Poch Suzara

The Greatest Bible Character
There is only one bible character worthy of respect and admiration: Pontius Pilate, the Roman Viceroy. He alone asked the most profound question that to date, no one has yet found the answer: WHAT IS TRUTH? Not even Jesus, the Son of the creator of the universe knew the answer. But Jesus could have at least admitted that the truth is the common denominator of all our delusion, just as much as cocksure certainty is the error by which all thoughtless men do not recognize as an illusion.
