The World

The world is painfully split into areas of wealth and poverty, with little prospect of narrowing the gap. The politics of global economic affairs in this century, as it was during the previous century, have been the politics of inequality, inherently a politics of internecine suspicion and power struggle and wars. With thanks to the US government always ready and eager to install freedom and democracy overseas.
