Telling the Truth

Was God telling the truth when He said, “ You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart?” Obviously, if God were everywhere, what is the need to find Him? Perhaps, our teachers in catechism class lied when they told us about God being omniscient and omnipresent. Poch Suzara

God manifests his presence in many ways. He is indeed present in his creation as he is the Being upon whom all things are contingent upon since they would all cease to exist without his sustaining power (cf. Aristotle, Aquinas). Nuclear physics tells us that all matter exists because of the invisible nuclear forces that keep them together.

Plato (in his world of Ideas) and St. Anselm in his ontological proof taught that God at the very least exists in the mind.

After the Fall, man was damaged and lost many of his former powers and became limited to what we know today as the "five senses." I personally believe that one of the powers we lost (and there were many) was the ability to sense God's presence so that we have to find him in an attitude of worship and humility. Even today, some scientists talk about a sixth sense and serious researches have been done on premonitions, telepathy, etc. Some people by accident, by grace or by effort seem to have extra senses over and above the ordinary five senses.

People who live saintly lives sense God's presence often. I sometimes do but not often.

So, you call that god huh? @ deusvolt. That makes god an arbitrary name, you can place it on things you don't comprehend. (Ah God of the gaps again.)

There is a big difference between existing outside the mind or just in your mind. Maybe you have to read Gaulion's rebuttal on Anselm's silly idea.

Fall of man? I thought God is perfect and everything He creates is perfect? How the fell does a perfect creation fall?

Tsk! tsk! tsk!

Wow, talk about being desperate. The issues on psedo-science is still dabetable. As what you have stated "some" scientists, not "all" scientist (Got it?)
