Light and Darkness
"Never forget in the darkness, what you know to be true in the light." Philippine Star, May 21, 2014. . .
In the first chapter of the Bible God said on the first day of creation, “Let there be light: and there was light” (Genesis 1:3).
But it isn't until several verses later, on Day 4 of Creation Week, that we find that the sun, moon, and stars were created. “And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night; he made the stars also … to give light upon the earth” (Genesis 1:16-17).
At any rate, obviously God Himself was no blinding bright light. He had to create the sun to brighten the darkness around Him. In the meantime, in 1 John 1:5 we are told that "God is light" and in Him there is no darkness at all. Are we to suppose that this is what having faith in blind faith has been all about?
