Dear College-Educated Friends and Associates

Dear College-Educated Friends and Associates, As far as I am concerned, as a La Salle high school expelled student, the horror of the system of education in the Philippines has more to do with this silly historical fact: Millions upon millions of Filipino children are yearly educated to become CATHOLICS first and foremost for the glory of God in heaven; and hardly educated to become creative, productive, and well-informed CITIZENS of the Republic of the Philippines for the glory of its own decent growth and development as a decent nation. In the meantime, we were all taught to believe, during our formative years in Catholic schools, that we are all born corrupt; but that there is nothing wrong with being corrupt for as long as we believe and have faith in God who has the power to forgive the sin of corruption in our daily way of life in this only Catholic country in Asia! Philosopher Bertrand Russell was closer to the truth when he wrote: "We are all born ignorant, not stupid. We are made stupid by education." Cheers! Poch Suzara Facebook# Twitter# Atheist# Google#

Wow, if that's how millions of Filipino kids were taught, as you say, that there is nothing wrong about being corrupt as long as you believe on God, then they've got it all wrong and you were duped along with them. Poch, the gospel is about God changing the hearts of those who truly trust in his Son as their Savior and Lord. I've been privileged to see these wonderful transformations with my own eyes. The Word of the Lord says, "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." It also says, "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God." With Christ, an ugly life can be turned into a beautiful one. He can take the meanest of us and make us loving, kind and generous. He specialized in impossible, cantankerous people. He can even change you, Poch. By the way, I am not a Roman Catholic, and although I attended Philippine government schools, I did not turn out the way you say millions upon millions of Filipino students have. My NCEE score was in the top .5 percentile.

Oh My Dear Ken, as your NCEE score was in the top 5 why are you now crying to me like a Jesus crucified on a piece of wood crying out loud: MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME? Cheers! Poch Suzara

A slight correction, Poch. It was in the top .5 percent. And I don't remember crying to you. Just trying to correct a wrong notion of the gospel. You should not dismiss something you don't really comprehend. Grace and peace.

Ken,

If you can correct this:

Ex. 2:12. Moses slew an Egyptian.

Now, how many did God ordered to kill?

I am not quite convinced about the exact Millions documented and Billions for further believing.

Ken,

There is no Authority of Reason.

Your Arrogance of Ignorance is so dangerous.
