Lies, Distortion and Mutilation

Here is a book used in our schools. The title is Rizal’s Life, Works and Writings: their impact on our national identity. Authored by Gapino, Gonzalez, and Pineda.
Look at these religious Filipino authors mentioning on page 135 Rizal’s great interest in science and its usefulness was expressed by him in an article: “It is our duty to follow the dreary but peaceful paths of science which lead to progress and thence to the union desired by Jesus Christ and prayed for on the night of his sorrows.” (Rizal prose, page 21)

Rizal never wrote the second part of that sentence. From his Spanish writings to English, his translators maliciously distorted and if not religiously mutilated Rizal’s scientific attitude. They tried to make Rizal appear like he is some kind of a scientific dummy. This is an example of how Rizal’s written Spanish works have been mistranslated, specially by his biographer Guerrero who was more faithful and loyal to Catholic authority than he was faithful and loyal to the subject of his biography – Rizal, the courageous man of science and philosophy. Prayerful Morons

Prayerful morons prayed for rain as the nation's water supply is getting shorter. God, being so kind and generous, answered the prayers with a typhoon that brought vast devastation drowning a few among the prayerful to death by heavy rain. Then even our Archbishop asked that we pray to God for no more rain. More rains came, however, with more devastation, especially in our farms, streets and highways. In the meantime, college educated men and women of this faith-soaked country have yet to wonder why the Philippines continue to remain as a Third World country in this already 21st century. Belief or Disbelief in God

"There is a significant difference between having no belief in a God and believing there is no God…" Michael Shermer
There is, however, a greater significance in believing that even if God exists, he is not worth believing. After all, such a God eventually puts all of us to death. He needs us dead permanently more than he wants us alive temporarily?
Happily, we atheists would rather find life beautiful and delightful to live it. It is the mark of the atheistic spirit. Atheism is all about that imperative need to think and to live. It is the exact opposite with theism – it is only about the imperative need to believe and to die. Poch Suzara

Big Bang

Let's assume that God created the big bang. Why would he start the creation of the universe in total chaos that retains neither his memory nor his personality as the God of original creativity? Indeed, why should God be the nothing instead of the something that exist? Where is God to be found? Why is he so ever busy always hiding away faceless as a nothing afraid to face mankind and its sufferings always of painful something? Poch Suzara

So God Exists, So What

If God does not exist, then everything is permitted?” On the contrary, since it is widely believed, especially by the sinners and the criminals that a God exist, therefore everything is permitted. Even Voltaire wrote: “If God did not exist, it would be necessary to invent him.” After all, who else but a God can forgive the stupid sins of the sinners against divinity; and, who else but a God can forgive the stupid crimes of the criminals against humanity? Indeed, some kind of a divinity is always needed to forgive even social insanity especially as spread by political, if not by religious stupidity. In the meantime, what does Big Foot, the Abominable Snowman, Loch Ness Monster, God, Jesus, Mary, Joseph and Satan have in common? All of these creatures were invented by the frightened faithfools to occupy the world of fantasy. Poch Suzara

Hitler's Holocaust

Hitler’s Holocaust - the killing of more than 6 million Jews in Europe during WW2 was quite a Sunday picnic compared to the American Holocaust. Since the landing of Columbus in 1492, more than 18 million native Indians have been killed in their continent. Their land, gold, silver, oil, and other valuable natural resources worth in the trillion of dollars were stolen away from these kind and generous people. And to think that many religious morons believed then that the most horrible part of this historical butchery was that those native Indians all died without accepting Jesus. Poch Suzara

Rizal and Paine and the Bible

Here are the words of the English-born American revolutionary Thomas Paine in his Age of Reason. I have no doubt Rizal while in Europe must have read this book with much gusto: “Whenever we read the obscene stories, the voluptuous debaucheries, the cruel and torturous executions, the unrelenting vindictiveness with which more than half the bible is filled, it would be more consistent that we called it the word of a demon than the word of God. It is a history of wickedness, that has served to corrupt and brutalize mankind; and, for my part, I sincerely detest it, as I detest everything that is cruel.” Poch Suzara

Filipinos

Filipinos are disunited, not united as a people. When we Filipinos go to live and work in other countries, we continue to be disunited, not united. That’s how fragmented we are in hatred as a people. Thanks to the teachings of Christianity since the 16th century in the Philippines everywhere that we must only love divinity up there by hating one another down here. Poch Suzara

Sick World

Only a sick person could believe in a God who does not cease to create sick children to populate our sick world. Obviously God does not exist; otherwise, if he does exist, he would, indeed, be a supernatural monster highly impressed with the multitude composed of religioul morons who worship him. Poch Suzara

Truth

It does not really matter if we disagree. It does not even matter if either of us respect the other. What is essential, however, is the truth, especially the search for it. Now in the search of the truth what is first needed is that most priceless treasure any man can own on this earth – a precious mind. Otherwise, being utterly mindless will only insure that one will only remain for the rest of one's life utterly thoughtless. Poch Suzara

Faith and Doubt

I have no respect for faith as it a product of indoctrination. I have, however, a great respect for doubt. It is what gets you an education.
Faith is all about the hatred of knowledge and wisdom. Education is all about the love of the truth, especially the search for it – the noblest of man's professions. Poch Suzara

Wars Caused By Religion

People’s range of thinking seems so short, if not trivial and banal or puny. When they are told that the history of war in this world has been mostly due to religion, they deny it by mentioning that there were quite a few wars that happened which religion played no part. It had never, however, occur to these religious morons that religion has nevertheless done nothing to ameliorate the conditions that led to local or global wars.

Look back half a century and witness the role played by the Catholic Church in aiding Nazi Germany. For example the German church opened its genealogical records to the Third Reich so that a person’s Jewish ancestry could be traced. Not a single German Catholic, including Adolf Hitler, was excommunicated for committing crimes against humanity. And Hitler often claimed he was serving God. In MEIN KAMPF HE SAYS, “Hence today I believe that I am acting in accordance of the will of the Almighty Creator: by defending myself against the Jews, I am fighting for the work of the Lord.” Poch Suzara

Prayers

During the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th century, millions upon millions of Filipinos prayed daily to Mary, Mother of God, to pray for us sinners. Today, in this 21st century more prayers are needed. More sinners are born each and every day and night. Approximately 1.7 million sinners born yearly adding to our already population problems in the Philippines at present
In the meantime college-educated Filipinos have yet to wonder why in the race among Asian nations seeking a higher standard of living, we Filipinos are left far behind too sick even to participate in the race to seek a higher standard of thinking?
Philippine foremost historian Teodoro A. Agoncillo summarized it quite truthfully. He wrote: “Self-deception is the worst tragedy of the Filipinos as a people.” Poch Suzara

Religious Wars

As an atheist I have no need to take sides to any of the insane religious wars going on and escalating in our world today among the Christians and Muslims and Jews - hating and killing each other for the sake of a dogma, pigma, or a hogma.
I would rather be on the side of a local sanity as I am rooting for the happiness of humanity via global tranquility. I do not believe in the existence of the God of the Christians, or in the existence of Allah – the God of the Muslims, or in the existence of Yahweh – the God of the Jews. It is incredible how supernatural beings could be standing behind these great religions of the world existing to promote dreadful disgrace, instead of enhancing beautiful grace for the whole human race. Poch Suzara

No More Jose Rizals

Filipinos have set up for Jose Rizal - monuments, statues, museums, shrines, universities, province, bridges, streets, towns, theatres, including a Forum on the internet in his name. There are even religious morons who call themselves “Knights of Rizal.”
I have yet, however, to meet one rare Filipino who has been profoundly clear and consistently courageous in carrying out what Jose Rizal could no longer do. After Rizal was arrested, incarcerated, and then executed in 1896 – who amongst us Filipinos have carried out to a higher, deeper, and wider levels his struggles against human stupidity, especially as inspired by organized religion promoting nothing but a sick and a corrupt society? Indeed, only sick men and women could believe in a sick divinity - one who does not cease creating sick children to populate a sick society! Rizal exalted the values of science and technology; not useless prayer or mindless theology. Too bad I am not a Filipino scientist like Jose Rizal was, neither am I a college educated Filipino from great universities in Europe. If I were, I would gladly have carried on the works of Jose Rizal’s ambition to remedy the evils of Christianity that’s keeping the Filipino sick, rotten, and corrupt in this eternally faith-soaked country. Jose Rizal Asked

“Where are the youth who will consecrate their golden hours, their dreams, and their enthusiasm to the welfare of their native land? Where are the youth who will generously pour out blood to wash away so much shame, so much crime, so much abomination? Pure and spotless must the victim be! Where are you youth, who will embody in yourselves the vigor of life that has left our veins, the purity of ideas that has been contaminated in our brains, the fire of enthusiasm that has been quenched in our hearts? We await you, O Youth! Come, for we await you!”

Ever since the death of Rizal by public execution in 1896, the history of the Filipino people has been the daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly struggle to deny the power of the human mind with knowledge, and to reject the beauty of the human heart with wisdom. Indeed, to be not happy, sane, and culturally constructive; but only to be unhappy, insane, and traditionally destructive.

Thanks to the faith-soaked teachers and professors in our schools, colleges, and universities – millions of Filipinos have yet to be taught how to substantiate the words of Jose Rizal: “I would like the Filipinos to be brilliant, enlightened, intelligent, and progressive.”

Sadly, even the Knights of Rizal have been busy promoting social and political insanity in this God-forsaken country. Especially for the sake of preserving in this faith-soaked 21st century – the beliefs and values of Christianity.

In this world, when one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. When millions of people suffer from a delusion, in the Philippines, it is called Christianity. Poch Suzara

Rizal and Jesus

Jesus said: “Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matt. 18:1-4.

Jose Rizal said: I place as a condition the education of the people so that by means of instruction and industry, our country may have a personality of her own and be worthy of her liberties.”

If we Filipinos have only been exposed to the teachings of a terrestrial Jose Rizal, and not exposed to the teachings of an extra-terrestrial Jesus Christ – in our schools, colleges, and universities – Philippine historian Teodoro A. Agoncillo need not have concluded: “Self-deception is the worse tragedy of the Filipinos as a people.” Poch Suzara

Rizal dead and Incurious

It is ludicrous how one can be so jaculiferous as to inquire who exactly were those mindless women who had Rizal executed. When his own Knights continue to keep Rizal dead and incurious, if not lugubrious with their top priorities in this 21st century Philippines? Here below is a typical ALERT messages I regularly receive from the Knights of Rizal.

Death

To a Christian, the whole idea behind Christian values and beliefs is to live a life of fear - the fear of the unknown, fear of God, fear of the devil, and the fear of death.
We atheists live a life of courage. We are not afraid of death. Why should we? Before we were born, we were already dead for billions of years. If we must die, however, we must die sober and not drunk with religious lies. Poch Suzara

Courage

It takes courage to stand up to what you believe. But it takes far more courage to stand up to what you do not believe. Jose Rizal was a man of such great courage. He was executed for standing up to what he did not believe: He never believed in the values of superstition especially when installed at the foundation of Philippine education. Poch Suzara

Archbishop Fulton Sheen

Archbishop Sheen once wrote: “ Modern man . . . has long believed that right and wrong were only differences in point of view, but now when evil works itself out in practice he is paralyzed to do anything against it.”
For my part as an atheist, I thought the Wrath of God should be more creatively directed against the evils from Satan, not against man, ancient or modern. Poch Suzara

Insanity

When one person suffers from a delusion, it is called insanity. When millions of people suffer from the same sick delusion, like in the Philippines, it is called Christianity. Poch Suzara

Hopefully

Me too, before I die, I hope to write “I go where faith does not kill. After all, in the next world, how can people already dead still kill each other over faith?” And to think that if an almighty God exists, is he really that almighty because he is able to reign over billions upon billions of people already dead in his kingdom of heaven? Poch Suzara

What's Wrong With Religion

What is wrong with religion? For one thing, it teaches you to be satisfied with answers to questions you have not even asked. In fact, religion teaches you to abandon your own questions. Just stick to the answers, especially as supplied in the holy bible – a book written by foreigners – the inspired authors of God.
In the meantime, ignorance is forever busy and needs feeding. The holy bible has all the nutritional diet for ignorance to enjoy fear and for fear to enjoy ignornace as a way of life everlasting. Poch Suzara

Faith that Kills

I do not know about you Rizalists, but each time I read Rizal’s “I go where faith can never kill,” in his Last Farewell, I understand it as alarmingly obvious that Rizal was warning everyone to face the fact that faith kills in this world he is leaving behind. As we are amongst those left behind in this world of murderous faith, why should we carry on embracing more harmful faith that has become even more murderous? Indeed, faith kills, especially precious minds and hearts of children in school. They grow up, if at all, as the victims of faith rather than the masters of reason. Obviously, instead of faith, we need more reason to remedy the ills of our sick society soaked with nothing but faith in human stupidity. For my part, as a high school expelled student, I said it before and I will continue to say it again: Faith is wrong; belief bereft of reason and devoid of question is evil. The faithful love deadly mental paralysis as they hate lively critical analysis. Thus, faith is never wanting to know what is true. In fact, it is worse. Faith makes one believe that life after death is better than life after birth. In the meantime, I am told by religious morons that religion is good because it comforts the dying. But I ask: shouldn’t religion be better if it prevents killing? After all, religion should brighten people to live and not frighten people to death! Truth to tell - everybody wants to go to heaven alive; nobody wants to arrive at the kingdom of God already dead! Poch Suzara

There is No Logic of Creative Thought

A debate between King Kong and Godzilla is unlikely to issue in a triumph of reason. An argument between two ecclesiastical liars is an improbable path to truth. An exchange between two faithfools can scarcely be expected to end in a victory for wisdom. A fight between wide-eyed exponents of X and Y will help not at all if Z was in fact the case, as it usually is. And between X and not-X the difference is merely a cipher, a nullity, a zero. In the meantime, on these pages, discussants have yet to grasp another simple truth: There is no logic of creative thought. Creativity makes its own rules as an activity. The intellect transcends them. For my part, I'd rather carry on with a mind that moves on wheels with the power of reason, than have a mind that is stuck on hinges with the power of faith. Poch Suzara

Atheism as a healthy way of Life

Contrary to what many religious morons like to believe, atheism is not a form of mental illness. The religious morons cannot rid the world of atheists by committing them to a mental asylum where they can be ignored. To label atheism as a psychological problem, as some one devoid with capacity to love, is a feeble, almost ridiculous attempt to evade the fundamental questions of truth and falsehoods. Such an evasion, in fact, it is the height of ridiculosity. Are religious beliefs true? What reasons are there for believing in a supernatural being? The religious morons who attempt to defeat atheism by subordinating truth to infantile syndrome accomplishes nothing, aside from revealing their contempt for man’s ability to think. As an atheist, I am better equip to face life, with its multitude of trials and tribulations, better than any other code of living that I have yet to discover. Atheism is a vigorous and courageous way of life - indeed, a sane and a healthy philosophy. We atheists have nothing to die for; we only have everything to live for... God and Conscience

To deny the existence of God is to deny the existence of conscience. I entirely agree; especially when we deny the existence of ignorance that gave us conscience to believe in the existence of a lot of supernatural nonsense to begin with. Poch Suzara

The Power of Prayer

If the power of prayer were as functional and as valuable as it is believed to be by the Jews, Christians, and Muslims, its positive effects should be glaringly obvious, if not alarmingly translucent, or indeed, measurable or even durable. They are not. It does not appear – based on scientific evidence – that God exists who answers prayers in any significant, observable way whatsoever. Otherwise, if God exists, he is obviously hiding scared to face the Jews, the Christians, and the Muslims still pretty much busy with daily prayers, especially on how to get rid of the each other as the unbelievers of the Revealed Truth. Letter to a Religious Moron

Sir, I hope you are in the best of health. It is the best kind of wealth. Bertrand Russell wrote: “When I see people who desire money or fame or power, I find it hard to imagine what must be the emotional emptiness of their lives that can leave room for such trivial things.”

For my part, enjoying mental health, I am able to see the Catholic Church as the owner of prime properties, farm lands, banks, insurance companies, pawnshops, stocks and bonds, manufacturing corporations, condominium buildings, schools, colleges, universities, including hospitals. In fact, an ex-priest friend disclosed to me that the Catholic Church remits an average of $30 million dollars to the Vatican bank yearly. By the way, monies deposited yearly into the Vatican bank are in the billions of dollars from Catholic countries. Next to the US government, the Catholic Church is the richest organization in the world. The difference is that the US government is filthy rich for selling in the world arms for destruction. The Catholic Church is filthy rich for selling hate of this world for the sake of eternal salvation.

Sir, as your were once a college professor, have you ever asked why no Filipino family has ever become rich and powerful for believing that God is bad; and yet, millions upon millions of Filipino Families are poor and existing under subhuman conditions and yet they believe and have faith that God is good?

By the way sir, please take a good look at our corrupt government managed by corrupt officials who are mostly UP college graduates and from other prestigious Catholic universities. These rotten government officials are not the poor and miserable dried-up saps. NO, they are the poor and miserable dried-up educated saps! And guess what sir, these powerful sinners and wealthy criminals share one thing in common in our sick society – they too believe in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior! To think that Jesus Christ was born in a foreign land that today is not a Christian, but a Jewish State. Unlike our Jose Rizal born in Calamba, Laguna and executed in Bagumbayan for writing against the superstitious beliefs that’s keeping the Filipino still poor as a people and the Philippines still mired as a Third World country.

Finally sir, may I say to you that if God existed and cared much for the Filipinos, he never should have gifted us with a Christian religion. Look how we Filipinos all love God up there by hating one another down here! Poch Suzara

Filipinos Lost Jose Rizal

“My dream,” wrote Rizal to a Spanish governor-general, “was my country’s prosperity . . . I would like the Filipino people to become worthy, noble, and honorable.” On another occasion Rizal also wrote: “I would like the Filipinos to be Brilliant, Enlightened, Intelligent, and Progressive.” Ever since Rizal was executed by Catholic church authority in the 19th century, the same Catholic curch carried on with power and authority to be in charge especially of the system of education in the Philippines. Indeed, we were taught in our schools, colleges, and universities to believe and to have faith in the holy bible that clearly states: “Love not this world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not with him.” John 2:15. Jesus, the loving son of God also preached: “If any man come to me and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.” Luke 14:26. Thus, as the Sick Man of Asia, even the Knights of Rizal continue to ignore what Rizal was saying to all Filipinos more than a century ago. Only people in foreign countries believed, followed, and substantiated what Rizal was saying. After Rizal’s execution, the president of the Berlin Society for Anthropology, Ethnology and Pre-history, - Dr. Rudolph Virchow, said: “In him we lose not only a true friend of Germany and German science but also the man who had the knowledge and the energy to introduce modern ideas and thinking into the Philippines.” WHAT? Modern ideas and thinking introduce to Filipinos in the Philippines? NO WAY, JOSE! What will happen to our wealth, power, glory and authority over the Filipino minds and hearts to protect and defend big business of Catholicism in the Philippines - the only Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century? Open Letter to Jose Rizal

No doubt you are the rarest Filipino that ever lived. You are still the nation’s chief hero. Otherwise, as a humanist-scientists thinker, you were also a human rights defender during your time. Our Spanish colonizers, especially the “friars” and the “theologians” found it crucial to plan your death. This was in December 30, 1896 by public execution with a military decree under the power of the church and its authority. According to those holy men of God, the unthinking Filipino is not worth killing. But the thinking Filipino is worth a bullet inside his brain, especially in God’s name for his glory in heaven. In other words, believing is a virtue. Thinking is always an offense against God - a sin. Well sir, we know today that with you then out of the way, the friars and the theologians faced no more hurdles or threats while they profit from their big superstition business in this country. Of course they called it the “love of God.” With you dead and gone however, you could no longer encourage the Filipino to stand up with dignity as a people to enjoy not the freedom OF religion, but precisely to enjoy the freedom FROM religion. Your enemies were busy spreading Christianity. It would have been better if they were, instead, spreading Filipino decency. But with their own local version of the crusades, holy wars, and inquisition in Europe, Christianity has been quite a success in the Philippines – murdering the minds and hearts of children in school. We have yet to look, however, at the hidden truth: Christianity has always had a vested interest in human suffering. Most Christian doctrines are unintelligible unless viewed in this context. For centuries, Christianity has capitalized on human suffering; and it was enormously successful in insuring its own existence through the perpetuation of such evil. No, it has never openly advocated human suffering; it prefers to speak instead of HOLY SACRIFICES in this life to take advantage of the rewards in the next life. Quite fortunately for the priesthood industry, the dead cannot return to demand a refund. Sir, I am sad to report that, in this modern age, it’s the same old story in the Philippines. As far as love of country and love of fellow-Filipinos are concerned, we have not made any improvements at all. We only love God up there by hating one another down here. Meanwhile, Instead of a government for the people, we only have a government for the government officials. They are the criminals and the sinners of our sick democracy. They are rich and powerful especially because they are always forgiven and blessed by God via the lucrative priesthood industry in the Philippines. We are still lethargic, if not apathetic, when it comes to the power of modern logic. It is still a fright for many of us to read books. But if we read, we do not read in search of the truth. We only read to remind ourselves of the revealed truth told during our childhood days. Our system of education has not improved any. It is still about a system of recruiting believers and followers to defend the faith. In matters of nation building, our college educated men and women are as colorless and self-righteous as their faith-soaked professors. A lot of these professionals would rather immigrate to other countries. The laborers who are left behind would rather enjoy their work here to help increase the population growth of our sick country. Nevertheless, we all look forward to a happy life after death in the Kingdom of God in heaven. In the meantime, our men and women have yet to be educated to work and to develop and to improve the Kingdom of Filipinos with the power of science and the scientific way of thinking and technology. Look, for example, at our primitive dental industry. It is decades behind as compared to the dental practices in other Asian countries. I have met duly licensed Filipino dentists. They are able to expound expert opinion not on the latest tool and equipments of modern dentistry, but bible verses as inspired by ancient theology. In the meantime, according to a survey, 98 per cent of the population of the Philippines suffer from teeth decaying, molars rotting, and gums bleeding. Now look also at our highly educated men and women called “lawyers.” In the college of Law, in order to determine the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, these would be Attorneys at Law are vigorously trained in the art of cross examination. Yet, they would not, even for a moment, cross examine the crimes of religion and other superstition that’s keeping the Filipino impoverished as a people and the Philippines backward as a nation. Again many of these lawyers are more conversant with bible chapters and verses than they are practicing their profession. In the meantime, like the rest in our sick society, these lawyers too would rather play safe and not rock the religious boat. They too prefer to win in the rat-race of eternal salvation in the next life with divinity and to hell with the Philippines in dire need to catch up with modern science and technology. Sir, do you know that even your own so-called Knights are mostly bible readers than they are Rizalian thinkers? When a silly lie is told about you in the media, such as your retraction story, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th degree Rizalists would rather defend religious absurdities. Hardly would they publicly defend what you had died for: - the right not only to a higher standard of living but more importantly, the right to a higher standard of thinking in our country. Despite your knowledge and wisdom, we Filipinos still have not as yet understood the real source of our never-ending troubles: our confused minds and damaged hearts. Mostly owing, if not due to - sacred beliefs and other superstitions that we continue to embrace in deep faith. Instead of standing up to improve by working on what is natural down here, we are still busy kneeling down praying to what is supernatural out there. In the meantime, no Filipino family has ever become rich for believing that God is BAD; and yet millions of Filipino families are poor for believing that God is GOOD. Sir, the search of the truth, indeed, is the noblest of all human activities. In the galaxy of philosophers, humanists, scientists, and freethinkers, I am most proud to be a great admirer of yours. Let me just say, quite simply, my dear Jose Rizal - wherever you are, in the hearts and minds of decent people throughout the world, we will always think of you as a great man - one who has had the courage to put beauty in nature where religious authority in this world continue only to promote horrors of religious insanity. Yours Faithfully, Poch Suzara La Salle High School Expelled Student

Response to Prof. Oros

to all members, RP-Rizal Forum greetings of peace and solidarity amidst trying times!i am a college instructor, and still young at the age of 21. i am now in my second year of teaching, but this is my first time to handle rizal subject (life, works and writings of rizal). what are the different teaching strategies in teaching rizal that would make my lessons very interesting to my students? thank you for taking time out to answer my question. god bless! My Dear Professor Oros, Perhaps, the essay below might be of some help to stimulate your students in the study of Rizal’s life, works and writings. I will privately email to you my other essays on Rizal to help you see a deeper picture, if not a wider view of what Rizal struggled against, and was executed for. Bertrand Russell wrote: “No man can be a good teacher unless he has feelings of warm affection towards his pupil and a genuine desire to impart to them what he himself believes to be of value. This is not the attitude of the propagandist. To the propagandist his pupils are potential soldiers in an army. Professor, sad to say, religious morons killed Rizal. The same religious morons of today with college education keeping Rizal dead spiritually and buried intellectually. Specially those who continue to have faith in the superstitious nonsense that the Catholic Spanish friars brought into this country some 400 years ago. Millions of Filipino students of today have no idea whatsoever of what Rizal wrote in: - The Trial of Jesus Christ in God’s Court.” Rizal has yet to be redeemed from the religious lies, misconceptions and mistranslations, including outright distortions woven around him. Please check your google in the internet. Rizal is mentioned as one of the past 1,000 FAMOUS RELIGIOUS SKEPTICS AND ATHEISTS in the world. In the meantime, Republic Act 1425 - the Rizal law making it a requirement for every Filipino student to study Rizal’s life, works and writings has not been carried out. Forget the Knights of Rizal. They feel more secure with bible verses than they should be promoting the Rizalian or the scientific way of thinking. Rizal wrote, “I would like the Filipinos to be brilliant, enlightened, intelligent, and progressive.” Unfortunately, the religious morons are still insisting that we need concern ourselves on this earth. After all, there is always that better life to come in the next world after death with God in heaven. Dec. 30,2004 OPEN LETTER TO JOSE RIZAL No doubt you are the rarest Filipino that ever lived. As far as love of country and love of fellow-Filipinos are concerned, we have not made any improvements at all. We only love God up there by hating one another down here. Meanwhile, Instead of a government for the people, we only have a government for the government officials. They are the criminals and the sinners of our sick society. In the meantime, according to a survey, 94 per cent of the population of the Philippines suffer from teeth decaying, molars rotting, and gums bleeding. They prefer to win in the rat-race of eternal salvation in the next life with divinity and to hell with the Philippines in dire need to catch up with modern science and technology. Sir, the search of the truth is, indeed, the noblest of all human activities. In the galaxy of philosophers, humanists, scientists, and freethinkers, I am most proud to be a great admirer of yours. Let me just say, quite simply, my dear Jose Rizal - wherever you are, in the hearts and minds of decent people throughout the world, we will always think of you as a great man - one who has had the courage to put beauty in nature where religious authority in this world continue only to promote horrors of human stupidity. Yours Faithfully, Poch Suzara High School Dropout Association of the Philippines 8 Zipper Street, San Lorenzo Village, Makati City

A Nation of Criminals

We are a nation of criminals? It does not matter! There is always God available at any time via the priesthood industry to forgive the criminals committing the crimes against our country. In the meantime, what is a politician? A politician is a knave who corrupts the people with deceiving promises, lying innuendoes, mass falsifications in the name of the people, well knowing that he is born a crook, the member of the political party based on crookedness, promoting crookedness and hoping for more crookedness to come, in the name of the people, and of course, to benefit the people. Now, any politician will admit this to be a fair assessment of his profession. He will disagree only about one thing. The definition, he will say, fits like a glove his political opponent. But since our politician is the opponent of his opponent, it follows that, seen from his opponent’s viewpoint, the definition fits him like a glove as well. Result? All politicians, left, right and center, are the criminals running our government. But then again if it is not public knowledge that we are a nation criminals, it is only because the greatest crime committed daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly in the Philippines is the crime of silence! Acts of God

I am ask: are atheists entitled to receive checks from insurance companies for damage to their properties incurred through "acts of god"?
My response: do you really believe that there would be the need of insurance companies to exist to pay for damage to properties through “acts of God” if a kind and loving and all-merciful God truly exist? Poch Suzara

For Edgar, et al of the Rizal Forum

It must be very painful to notice that as a matter of historical fact no atheist, no agnostic, no freethinker, no heretic, no infidel, no unbeliever of the faith, and specially no humanist bundled together collectively or individually had anything to do whatsoever with the execution of Rizal as the greatest of Filipino thinker who ever graced this only Christian country in Asia.
It was the religious morons who had him put to death. The same religious morons of today who are more concerned on how to win the friendship of other religious morons so that they can be influenced to spread more moronic religious messages for the already spiritually impoverished Filipino.
Rizal wrote: “We can only serve our country by telling the naked truth, however bitter it may be.” My dear Edgar, Jack, Ka Ponso, CVD, Bobby, dm0904 – the bitter truth is that after Rizal was publicly executed – we Filipinos have remained as the Sick Man of Asia. Thanks to the wealth, power and glory of the religious morons who are still pretty much in authority in the Philippines in this 21st century.
In the meantime, in the Philippines, life in general can be characterized as the competition to be the criminal or be the victim of the criminals.

The Beliefs of a Faithful Moron

He believes that human intelligence is always a sin. Human stupidity always a virtue. Though at most times he cannot tell the difference. He does not read the bible; but when he does and cannot make heads or tails of bible verses, he calls it “divine wisdom.” He believes that believing is far more crucial than knowing. In fact, he believes that to be among the silly believers collectively is far more pleasing to divinity than to be among the intelligent thinkers individually. He believes that to be a “born again” is more pleasing to God especially if one remains a child in a state of chronic dependence and does not have to grow up to become a mature adult. He believes in religion not primarily as a search for philosophical veracity, but as an overwhelming search for emotional security. He believes that it does not matter what mysterious things one believes for as long as it remains perpetually mysterious. He believes that God inspired the silly authors to write the bible. But the same God could not inspire the stupid theologians to announce to the world at large if the soul of our dead parents, grandparents and other dead loved-ones made it to heaven or are now being fried punished in hell. He believes in the man of faith despite the fact that the man of faith is a silly drunkard who clings to a lamppost for support, not illumination. He believes in the existence of immortality that consists of a hereafter even if there were no herebefore. Which makes the concept of immortality nothing but a biblical farce, a fraud, and a ceremony. He believes that Jesus died on the cross to destroy the devil. The devil, however, is still alive today employed as chief military adviser of the US government installing the freedom of deviltry in oil-rich countries. He believes that the bible was written by inspired authors of God. Such authors, however, were a bunch of superstitious morons who did not even know that the earth is round or that it rotates on its own axis. He believes that eating no meat on good Fridays is a great virtue. But to live that like pigs and think like cows during the rest of the year is the greatest of virtue. He believes that if a belief were believed by some 100 million people, it must be a true belief. Never mind even if said belief does not accord with the facts. He believes that after death he will meet with God face to face. As if God has a face and as if the believer himself will have a face to face anyone after death. He believes practice make perfect. He therefore practices stupidity daily on this earth so that by the time to gets to heaven he will be stupid perfectly. Indeed, “on earth as it is in heaven.” He believes in how to win friends and influence people especially if they were the religious morons or the stupid teachers - who are the greatest influence on his children in school. He believes that the atheists are a bunch of worthless and immoral sinners. He ignores the historical fact that the atheists have never declared war on other atheists for not believing in the existence of God. He believes that Jose Rizal’s life was not tragic. On the contrary, that it was quite patriotic. Especially since inspired ecclesiastic managed to have him executed as a lunatic since, they claim, he died as a penitent catholic. Poch Suzara

Death After Death

Nothing is more natural and more simple than to believe that the dead man lives no more, nothing more absurd than to believe that the dead man is still living.
To claim that the souls of men will be happy or unhappy after the death of the body, is to pretend that man will be able to see without eyes, to hear without ears, to taste without a palate, to smell without a nose, to feel without hands and without skin, to have thoughts without a brain.
Grown men and women of this forum who believe themselves very rational, adopt, nevertheless, such absurdities.
Don’t you people ever think that it is time to extricate yourselves up and out of that “overextended infantile syndrome” and begin to question the concept of immortality?
How can immortality consist of a “hereafter” when there is no evidence that there was ever a “herebefore?” Immortality must consist of both the “hereafter” and the “herebefore” or else there is no immortality! Poch Suzara

The Malicious Gods

"Those whom the Gods wish to destroy they first make mad.” That’s how malicious the Gods are to each other creating, and, indeed, also atrocious at destroying. For no reason at all, the Gods seem even to be more mad at each other; though not as mad as the religious morons always ready to destroy each other in God’s name in heaven or for the glory of Jesus in paradise. Low Intelligence

Why do most people still cling to religious beliefs when presented with logic and evidence – conclusive evidence – against it?
Low intelligence is the main cause of religiosity. After all, thinking is much harder than believing – hence the great preponderance of believers over thinkers in all ages and cultures. Especially in the Philippines – the only Christian country in Asia – mostly populated by believers and not by thinkers. In fact the first and last real thinker we had in this God-forsaken country was Jose Rizal. He was executed in 1896 by the Catholic church for thinking too much. Ever since then, we have become a nation of stupid believers rather than intelligent thinkers.

A Religion Worthy of Trust

Of course only the religious morons will insists that we cannot live without a religion; especially RELIGION defined as the daughter of Hope and Fear, explaining to Ignorance the nature of the Unknowable.
However, RELIGION defined as teaching our children to believe in the potentials of and for humanity, and not for some silly divinity, I would be among the first to embrace such a RELIGION as worthy of trust.
Wasn’t Jose Rizal himself, as a man of science, more concerned about cultivating the minds and hearts of the Filipinos in this world rather than about saving the silly souls going to the next world?
In the meantime, there seems to be a terrible confusion on the part of a great many religious morons to the effect that when you no longer believe you may no longer behave. Poch Suzara

Bertrand Russell's Logic, mathematics, and the Computer

One should read and study the works of Bertrand Russell. He has been described by great mathematicians as the greatest logician since Aristotle. Indeed, Russell showed that there were many forms of inferences than Aristotle had thought three thousand years ago. Aristotle tried to guard against fallacious reasoning by making a complete list – they might be called working rules – of all forms of deduction which are valid. Aristotle decided that these were nearly all syllogistic: for example, “All men are mortal, Socrates is a man, therefore Socrates is mortal.” Russell showed how much more there was to logic, and that syllogisms should have no such pre-eminence. But that is not all. When asked why Russell was a great logician, there is another important answer which is somewhat a paradoxical one; it was because he showed how little logic can do. Meantime, Russell not only insisted on the importance of philosophy and science to each other, he also tried to redefine the fundamental principles of mathematics on a few basic laws of logic. The whole project may have been misconceived and a grand failure, but it helped to make modern logic the analytical tool that it is today. Though he himself never realized it, Russell was, indeed, one of the founders of the modern computer age. Yes sir, that's the machine facing you right now at this very moment! Poch Suzara

Focus on Rizal

Only a religious moron can relate to, and agree with, another religious moron. This is usually referred to as the communion of saints and sinners.
Only a great man can read and understand and relate with other great men. This is usually referred to as the communion philosophers and thinkers.
Too bad for Jose Rizal – among the rarest of Filipino thinkers. The religious morons, those in authority, including his own Knights, have unduly reduced this great Filipino into an ordinary run-of-the-mill Filipino. They promote what the other religious historians have declared to be part of Philippine history. That before he was executed, crying like a frightened little boy, our national hero Jose Rizal went to confession, mass and communion and that he retracted. In other words, Rizal was like a little hero proud to confess his sins to a deluded priest, heard mass said by a mediocre priest, and received communion given by a stupid priest. As if these were the courageous activities worthy of a hero eager to be a winner in the childish rat-race for salvation? Meanwhile, in this poor and backward country, our schools, colleges, and universities continue to teach that Jose Rizal retracted. He therefore never really taught us how to think intelligently; but only what to believe what the religious morons have always believed traditionally.
Thus, only the religious morons can relate to, and agree with, other religious morons. Only great men can read and understand and relate with other truly great men.
To a few thinking Filipinos, however, who could read, understand, and relate to him, - Jose Rizal was always a thinking man, incorruptible, fearless and unbribable. Indeed, Rizal was never, ever, a saint - one who is always useless, if not always worthless, and indeed, always senseless – especially in the task of elevating the welfare of the Filipino as a people in the here and in the now. Poch Suzara

Reading the Bible

Most Christians in general and Catholics in particular do not read the bible from cover to cover. They even say that it is not important to read the bible as what is more important is having “faith in God.”
When, however, they read verses in the bible but do not understand what they are reading - they call it “divine wisdom.”
For my part, I am no longer in a quandary as I used to be when I was a little boy in school. I have come to the conclusion that there isn’t that much of a difference if the bible produced the religious morons or, the religious morons produced the bible. I think both mutually produced each other! Poch Suzara

Belief

If a belief is false, it cannot be true, even if it is called “sacred belief.” Indeed, a false belief anywhere is a false belief everywhere.
In the meantime, contradict yourself and you are sure to be wrong. Not to watch out for contradiction is the same as not watching out for the truth. We are all, each and every one of us - guilty. The most we can do is to be fully aware of the mess. In the meantime, never mind the revealed Truth. It has never been revealed! Poch Suzara

All Boys

All boys are born supot. It is therefore an insult to God when boys get circumcised. The male organ with the prepuce cut away is not the way God created it in his own image and likeness. Indeed, far more original than the original sin is the original supot! Poch Suzara

Rizal's Retraction

My good friend Manny Almario wrote: “If Rizal heard mass, went to confession, took communion and married Josephine, how come there were no photographs of these alleged events, while there was a photograph of his execution? And Rizal's photograph at execution did not show him holding a rosary around his hand or wearing a scapular around his neck! People who tell lies about him are traitors to our country.” Poch Suzara

Necessity

“Necessity is the most powerful divinity the world knows, and necessity is the resultant of physical forces set in operation by ethical forces." - Jose Rizal
Poor Jose Rizal, I bet it had never crossed his brilliant mind that in the future his own Knights of Rizal and the majority of RP-Rizal Forum discussants would be praying to Necessity to pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, amen?

Belief in Which God

I don’t believe in God? Which God? The God of Islam, Judaism, Shintoism, Christianity, Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism or Brahmanic God. There are ten thousand others Gods out there. Perhaps, I should believe in the UNKNOWN God also mentioned to the holy bible. See ACTS 17:23
Indeed, the bible is a wonderful source of inspiration especially for those who do not bother read it or even to understand it.
Nothing is sacrosanct to the mind of an atheist. Everything must be examined. Everything must be questioned. Everything must be put under scrutiny and tested by objective criteria. Anything that cannot be measured up, anything which succumbs before an onslaught of questions, should never be tolerated by the human mind.
To be an atheist, one must first enrich one’s precious mind with knowledge based upon science and the scientific way of thinking. Also, it is not possible to be an atheist if one chooses to remain ignorant of the contents of holy books.
Life’s purpose of the atheists is to involve mankind to lift itself up out of the deadly maelstrom of superstitious nonsense that continue to generate hate and war that does not upgrade, but only degrade – our one and only precious world. Poch Suzara

Play God

“A lot of our problems and miseries happen whenever we play God, and refuse to obey and follow Him.” Fr. Jerry M. Orbos, SVD.

It obviously never occurred to this shallow-minded priest that as soon as God plays the role of a decent God, we too can begin to live like decent men, decent women, and decent children in this God-forsaken country since Christianity arrived here some 400 years ago.

For Christ’s sake, haven’t we been already praying daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly to Jesus for, “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Is heaven such a sick place too? Poch Suzara

Beautiful Message

Here is beautiful message from a beautiful song sang by beautiful people: “For, what is man, what has he got, if not himself then he has not to say the things he truly feels and not the words of one who kneels – the record shows I took the blows and did it My Way.” By the way, if only such beautiful words were written in the holy bible – I never would have learned how to embrace atheism. We atheists say things we truly feel as well as we feel what we truly say. We have no need to kneel down to religious morons, especially those created in the image and likeness of God! Poch Suzara

Why I Love Bertrand Russell

As a little boy, my father-confessor in school, often told me that I am not a perfect being. I should therefore always kneel down and ask God for the forgiveness of my defects and seek only obliteration. Never mind reconstruction.
Bertrand Russell arrived into my life when I got to be 18 years old. He said: “No
one is perfect and we should never be bothered by the fact that no one is perfect.”
If there were ever a thinker I have learned to love, worship, and adore – such a thinker was Bertrand Russell. Indeed, Russell saved not my stupid soul; he saved, instead, my intelligent mind.
Oh Bertrand Russell, whenever you are - thank you for showing me intellectual courage to face human stupidity everywhere keeping our world still infested with religious and political insanity. Poch Suzara

What if the Pinoys and Pinays

What if the more than the 10 million Pinoys and Pinays doing great, useful, valuable, and meritorious jobs in some 162 countries around the world today were doing exactly the same work right here in our own country? Wouldn’t that help the Philippines grow and develop into one of the healthiest and wealthiest countries in Asia today? Unfortunately, we Filipinos do not love our country nor do we love fellow Filipinos. Why should we? We were taught to believe to love only God, Jesus, Mary, and Joseph and the saints of the church. In fact, to love only any of those supernatural characters who will insure our salvation in the next world after death. In the meantime, take a good look at our dilemma. It has been going for almost 100 years now: we have government officials, but hardly have we a government. Especially a government working for the people and with the people. Poch Suzara

Why I do not Believe in God

I do not believe in God because I do not believe that a God created man in his own image and likeness. All men are born supot. I do not believe in a God who is Himself an Almighty supot. Poch Suzara.

Think of It

Jesus was crucified on a cross by the same religious morons who were created by God in his own image and likeness. And to think this is the same God who had an illicit affair with Virgin Mary - who got pregnant with baby boy Jesus. Poor Joseph, her husband, he got so dumbstruck after he was told by God’s angel that his wife Mary was still a virgin.
I ask: do any of you religious morons really believe in this biblical hogwash? Poch Suzara

What If

What if God answered the prayers of people to recover from cancer, would not that discovery for the cure of cancer no longer be a problem for medical scientists to solve? To think the Son of God Jesus cured leprosy in his community some 2,000 years ago. Unfortunately, Jesus never divulged to any one how to cure leprosy on a permanent basis. Jesus himself miserably failed to do so. Leprosy is still much of a debilitating disease in our world today. Especially in the Philippines - the only Catholic country in Asia since the 16th century. Poch Suzara

Silly Beliefs

“For those who believe, no explanation is necessary. For those who don’t believe, no explanation is needed.” What tragedy must be those who believe needlessly. To begin with, no explanation was needed for them to start believing. They just began to believe as frightened into them by religious bullies to believe. As if a belief, any belief for that matter, - could be of any value to what could perpetually be false, if not worthless, nay, harmful belief - especially as it encourages the life of fear and thoughtlessness. Poch Suzara

Poor Philippines

I remember as a teen-ager some 40 years ago I listened to my father, grandfather, and uncles arguing about the situation in the Philippines as a nation. Always doing poorly in significant categories like domestic economy, international trade, import/export, international investment, employment, government efficiency; but doing quite well in graft and corruption and political instability.
I thought then to myself, what could we expect of ourselves as a nation waiting for the Second Coming of the Lord to fix our troubles and problems. Even the soul of our own national hero Jose Rizal was thought to have made it to heaven after he was executed for writing against Catholic authority will be coming with the Lord back to the Philippines. Poch Suzara

The Mother of All Miracles

A man of blind faith able to see absolutely nothing except see the invisible God who, according to him, is a spirit here, a spirit there, and a spirit everywhere! In fact, the man of blind faith even believes that an invisible God created him in God's own image and likeness. Poch Suzara

Conscience

Conscience is not innate. It is acquired through evolution and education. It also varies with geography. Otherwise, if conscience were universally planted, then people everywhere would cherish similar beliefs and values. We would all embrace one standard of morality. There would be no disagreement over what is right or wrong. There would be no need for policemen, no need for laws and lawyers, judges in court; no need for a military to go to war to settle disputes. In this connection, throughout the world the religion of mankind is determined by the geographical accident of their birth. In England men grow up Protestants; in Italy, Catholics; in Russia, Greek Christians; in Turkey, Mohammedans; in India, Brahmans; in China, Buddhists or Confucians; in the Philippines, Christians as Christians must hate other Christians. What they are taught in their childhood they believe in their manhood; and they die in the faith in which they have lived. In the meantime, the Revealed Truth in the holy bible has yet to be revealed. Poch Suzara

Sin

Sin lies only in hurting other people maliciously if not needlessly. All other “sins” are superstitious nonsense bordering on ridiculosity. Poch Suzara

Poor Jose Rizal

As Christians in this only Christian country in Asia, we do not even read and know the bible contents! As Filipinos why should we read and know the writings of Jose Rizal? There was nothing different about Rizal. He was just like the rest of us religious morons in this country. After all, hours before he was executed by the religious morons of his day, Rizal, like a frightened little boy crying, went to confession, heard mass, received communion as he retracted! Of course there is also this ecclesiastical hogwash written by catholic scholars that Rizal retracted not with his brilliant mind, but only with his broken heart. So that Rizal ended up as a winner in the rat-race for salvation. His soul made it to heaven. In fact, I am told by grown up Pinoys and Pinays that Rizal in heaven today is most likely busy just like Mary, the Mother of God, praying for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, amen! Rizal was executed because he was promoting the good life – one inspired by love and guided by knowledge, indeed, he was cultivating human intelligence as the scientific way of life in the Philippines. Thanks to the religious morons who won against Rizal, including winning against his so-called Knights of Rizal, we just continue to be a nation of religious morons. Indeed, in the God-forsaken country, hundreds of millions of Filipinos never cease to employ religion as its major weapon in the war against reality. Poch Suzara

Most Pinoys

Most Pinoys, like most Americans, think of nothing but money. When they do make money, however, they just continue as ever to be selfish, greedy, stupid, and insane. In this connection, I have greatest admiration for the billionaire Bill Gates. He is neither a Pinoy nor an American. He is just a decent man – an exceptional wealthy individual - a total grace for the whole human race. His billions lavishly distributed to educational and philanthropic institutions that does not even bear his name. Indeed, Bill Gates has worthy causes and projects that puts beauty and intelligence into this world where governments have put only the horror of negligence. Though I never got my project off the ground, I am nevertheless proud of what I tried to do a few years ago. I submitted a proposal to the Bill Gates Foundation to assist me financially and morally to set up a chain of public libraries to be established around strategic points throughout the Philippines. Inside these public libraries will also be the center of family planning and birth control information clinic. Much to my regret, however, I never was able to raise funds out of my own to make a formal Project Study as required by the Bill Gates Foundation for its consideration. Poch Suzara

Great Religions

All the great religions of the world: Hinduism, Buddhism, Shintoism, Taoism, Confucianism, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam have their own common roots in fear and ignorance. Otherwise the Revealed Truths of God would have been an unlimited impact on global history rather than just the limited faith of a local mystery. Poch Suzara

For Rose of the RP-Rizal Forum

This is one reason why I was expelled out of high school: I insisted that those religious morons who got Jesus Christ arrested and crucified – were the same religious morons that God created in his own image and likeness.
Well, on these RP-Rizal Forum pages, I am also being threatened with getting expelled, because I am insisting that those religious morons who had Rizal arrested, jailed, and executed are the same religious morons who have never been expelled out this country. In fact, they are still around in control and in charge of the system of education in the Philippines. Notice in our schools, colleges, and universities, it is taught that a Jose Rizal, a Filipino, born in the Philippines is a nothing compared to Jesus Christ, a Jew, the Son of God, born in Israel some 2,000 years ago!!
Growth and development of a nation can only be possible with the removal of falsehoods and superstitions. In our case, in this God-forsaken country, we better cease having faith in the Revealed Truth. After all, it has not yet been revealed!
In the meantime, the religious morons on these pages are scandalized by my being an atheist. If they only bother to read Karen Armstrong, a former Catholic nun, in her insightful book – A HISTORY OF GOD, she demonstrated that Jews, Christians, and Muslims were all at one time accused of being atheists when their ideas began to challenge the popular religious wisdom of their day.
Rose, there is nothing tragic about being raised by ignorant parents at home and by ignorant teachers in school. What, however, is truly painful and tragic, is when one has been frightened enough to stop learning anything new and carry on with one’s children and grandchildren to believe and have faith in the same old biblical nonsense!
Heaven is not our home. The planet earth is. This is the first realization we must embrace if we hope to have a decent country populated by decent men and decent women as products of a decent system of education. Best wishes, Poch Suzara

Filipino Family Values

I am told that one of the greatest attributes of the Pinoy is his love of family as exemplified by his devotion to the family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. I ask: what in hell is the connection between a Jewish family born in Israel during the first century with the Filipino family born in the Philippines in this 21st century? How come countries like China, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, India, and places like Taiwan and Hongkong - do not and never have recognized Jesus, Mary and Joseph as the paragon of family values? And to think faith-soaked Filipinos are in those countries today working and enjoying a higher standard of living and indeed, a higher standard of thinking. In the meantime, the religiously frightened in this country are still trying to find solid evidence to prove that Rizal retracted before he was executed for exposing the hypocrisy and the chicanery of Catholicism in the Philippines. The same religion that introduced Jesus, Mary and Joseph in the Philippines for Pinoys to love, worship, and adore. Indeed, for Pinoys to have faith in God for the sake of nothing except to participate in the silly rat-race for eternal salvation. Poch Suzara

Inspired Religious Morons

The bible says: Love thy Neighbor." Well, if we hope to enjoy a decent life, we better love not only our neighbor but love also the world. Our world. It is the only world we know. The only world we have.
Unfortunately, religious morons as inspired authors of God, proudly wrote in the holy bible: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1John 2:15. Poch Suzara

Newspaper Editors

Newspaper editors of this country are seldom puzzled why, in spite our high literacy rate, we are not, by any measure, a nation of readers. It is really all so pathetic. It is, however, quite alarmingly transparent, if not glaringly obvious that the existence of a high literacy rate in this country has no basis in fact. What does exists, however, is the high rate of daily prayer based upon the high principle of religious mediocrity. Daily prayers are even nationally approved by authority in government perpetually inspired by ecclesiastical stupidity. Poch Suzara

Reading Books

Mark Twain wrote: “The man who does not read good books has no advantage over the man who cannot read them.” To think that this is the fate of most college educated men and women comprising our sick society. In fact, throwing precious books out the window pretty much describes the climax of college graduation celebration party in the Philippines. Lo and Behold, as a high-school dropout, I pick up those thrown books to read and then for future reference I store such precious tools of learning in my personal library. Poch Suzara

Thailand

Why is Thailand a more advance country culturally than the Philippines? In Thailand, they have such famous individuals as the Condom King. He helps alleviate poverty in his country via family planning and population control.
In the Philippines we have Christ, the King. He has kept the Filipino spiritually poor as a people and the Philippines morally backward as a nation. All for the sake of the rat-race for eternal salvation. Poch Suzara

Height of Rationality

As a man engrossed in self-study, I am proud to identify myself as the Chairman of the High School Dropout Association of the Philippines. As a man, however, in need of more and deeper and endless learning, I am proud to identify myself as the Chairman of the Bertrand Russell Society of the Philippines. My friends and relatives call it insanity in need of psychotherapy. I say it is just a simple case of the height of rationality. Poch Suzara

The Philippine Movie Industry

It is indeed sick how Philippine Movie Industry keeps up with Hollywood trash endlessly producing films – the object of which is not something that corresponds to facts or reality, but anything that corresponds to myths or fantasy. Philippine Movie Industry is not about telling the truth. It is more about spreading social, political, and especially religious mendacity for the sake of maintaining a sick society all for the sake of making nothing but money. Poch Suzara

There is No God

Is it so hard to admit that we live in a world of pain and suffering, terror and horror, frustration and desperation, hate and war, death and decay precisely because there is no God? Otherwise if there is a God, he must be a mindless and a heartless supernatural power who cares not to put to a stop the never- ending evils that’s keeping our world poor and backward.
To think that if he exists, God has been existing for billions of years. We humans, comparatively, exist on this earth but for as long as a wink of an eye or a split of a second long. Indeed, existing on a speck of dust lost in the immensity of space and equally lost in the infinity of time. Poch Suzara

Faith in the Intelligent Designer

How much faith can one really have in an intelligent designer who found it necessary to include such phenomena as a woman’s birth canal designed smaller than the bigger baby painfully passing out of it; boys designed supot at birth; and, ugly pimples in the faces of prayerful teen-age girls as evidences of intelligent design? Poch Suzara

Atheism is Not a Religion

If atheism were a religion, it can only be the religion of the thinkers, philosophers and scientists. Mediocre men, ignorant women, and frightened children cannot qualify to become atheists. Atheism is life affirming. It is the opposite of theism which is life negating... We atheists do not care for life after death. There isn’t any. That is why we hate war and death and destruction. We care more about leaving this world one day a better place than we found it. Or we will have very little reason of having lived at all. Poch Suzara

Power

Priests, bishops, cardinals, popes, pastors, evangelists, ministers, clerics, imams, gurus, rabbi, shaman, holy men, witch doctors, faith healers, including theologians all enjoy power; especially power that comes not from human intelligence, but derived mostly from fear and ignorance and human malevolence. It is what schools, colleges, and universities are all about, still pretty much under the power of Christianity in the Philippines. Poch Suzara

Man and Apes

Man evolved from the apes. If only it was the other way round - apes evolved from man. There could have been more peace and goodwill to all men on this earth. Apes may be gullible, naive, insecure, impressionable, unthinking, dumbstruck and stupid. In fact, apes may be warlike too. But apes possess no holy bible or holy Quran or holy Torah that teach them to kill other apes for the greater glory of God or for the greater glory of Allah or for the greater glory of Yahweh. Poch Suzara

The Jesuits

The Jesuits say that if you give them a child until he’s six years old he’s theirs for life. Indeed, this is true. What is even truer, however, is that under Jesuit religious guidance the child grows up with a childish attitude towards life in general. Indeed, for the rest of his life, he will even believe and have faith in such mythical story about how God looked the other way ( a father guilty of child abuse ) while his only begotten Son was being crucified on a cross. All for the purpose of saving man away from eternal damnation. Poch Suzara

Good and Evil

The horror in this world is not about the difference between good and evil. On the contrary, it is about the conflict between one evil against another evil - the two great religions of the world known as Christianity and Islam. Each have not ceased hating and killing the other for the glory of God on the one side; and, on the other side, for the glory of Allah. And to think that both these evils came from the womb of mother religion – Judaism – that gave birth to Christianity and Islam.
For my part, I am proud to be an atheist. No one has ever heard of atheists hating and killing other atheists because they refuse to believe, love, worship, and adore God.
Take a good look at Osama Bin Laden. He invoked God when he directed his hijacked suicide airliners into the world Trade Center and the Pentagon in 2001.
Take a good look at President George W. Bush. He invoked God when he unleashed his missiles and bombers on the people of Iraq.
Take a good look at the Palestinians. They too invoked God when they strapped dynamite to their waste and boarded a crowded bus or entered a public restaurant in Israel to destroy themselves and anyone else who happened to be near.
Take a good look at the Jews in Israel. They invoked God
As they sent their tanks into the West Bank and the Gaza Strip to knock down houses that were thought to provide shelter to their enemies.
Take a good look at the Catholics and the Protestants. They invoked God as they killed each other in Ireland, the last gasp of a dying fury that spawned a thirty-year religious war and in 1588 propelled the Spanish Armada to a watery grave as it sought to win back Protestant England for the Vatican.
Take a good look at the priesthood industry. They invoked God when they violate and abuse little children who have been trusted to their care. It gets worse as the superiors of these priests – bishops, the archbishops, the cardinals – also invoked God when they acted to cover up these violent crimes and protect the victimizers and ultimately themselves rather then the victims.
Take a good look at the religious morons of today. They tell me that I hold not the right premise on how one should take a good look in the existence of a kind and loving God! Poch Suzara

The Fools in Christ

Ignorance is the soil in which religions grow and Christianity is no exception. The New Testament itself calls the disciples, “unlearned and ignorant men.” Indeed, the “fools in Christ.” The same Christ who preached: “Be ye wise as the serpent” and commanded: “But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them for me.” Luke 19:27.
To think that this was the same Christ who, crucified on the cross, cried out: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” Obviously Christ was referring to those “unlearned and ignorant men,” and to those wise as the serpent, and those about to be slaughtered as they would not that Christ should reign over them. Poch Suzara

The Root of all Evil

The root of all evil is not deviltry. It is divinity. After all, deviltry in the most original of God’s most intelligent design. Poch Suzara

Ellen Blackstone

She wrote: "The Bible doesn’t forbid suicide. It’s a Catholic directive, intended to slow down their loss of martyrs.”
May I add sinners and the saints and the Sick Man of Asia too? Poch Suzara

Babies in Theology

Babies are atheists. They do not know God. Parents are atheists too. They also do not know God. In fact God is unknowable. Theology has not been much of a help either. Theology is the study of nothing; though the theologians call it the study of the unknowable. In fact, theology is the study of the not worth knowing. To think that theology is the most important subject taught to all of the students in our schools, colleges, and universities. Poch Suzara

An Atheist's Viewpoint

The RP-Rizal Forum members refused to believe me – an atheist – when I say that the execution of Jose Rizal had only to do with religious morons in authority who had him faced a firing squad for writing truths on the hypocrisy and chicanery of the Catholic Church. I am even told that if I have nothing new to add to the ongoing discussion on Rizal’s life, work, and writings, I should just shut up and to take my atheistic “frustrations” and “angst” elsewhere.
Well, I am also saying that the kind of enemies Rizal struggled against are still here pretty much alive today in charge of what should be taught in our schools, colleges, and universities.
In the meantime, as an atheist, I am treated like I am a little monster afflicted with psychological problem. Really, a feeble, if not a laughable attempt to evade the fundamental questions of truth and falsehood, of facts and fiction. It is obviously so ridiculous to try and defeat atheism by subordinating truth with infantile emotionalism. Such childish reaction only reveals the truth of the Christian traditional contempt for man’s ability to think. Ah, but the members of this RP-Rizal Forum would rather prove themselves crippled at thinking any deeper or further, and that they themselves are quite impressive at linguistic contortions, dramatic algebraic ejaculation, an indeed, ecclesiastical masturbation. What isTicklish Biblically

For one thing, God inspired only the bible authors, but not the best part of any book – its readers, millions of them. Meanwhile, even up to this day and age, bible readers continue to be in conflict with other bible readers simply because the Revealed Truth in the bible remains utterly unrevealed. Poch Suzara

Our Country

Our country is full of suffering, tragedy, disease, disaster, pain and misery - a mockery of humanity. As an atheist, I demand better reason than what religion has traditionally
offered – that the variety of horrors historical in our country are really due to, if not always coming from the love of God. I say, this is the height of religious insanity. To begin with, according to the Word of God written in the bible, the Jews are the Chosen people of God; and second, Filipinos are not even mentioned in any of the pages comprising the Old
Testament or the New Testament. In fact, a great many other peoples from different countries around the world are mentioned in the holy bible; except the Sick Man of Asia – the Filipino. Poch Suzara

Cathedrals

I am told that cathedrals in the Philippines are monuments to architectural, engineering and artistic talents. I say hogwash. Cathedrals are monuments to human stupidity. Indeed, where are the public libraries build in every town in the Philippines as monuments to human intelligence? Where are the health clinics and hospitals build in every town in the Philippines as monuments to human decency? Where are the public toilet facilities build in every town in the Philippines as monuments to health and sanitation? Indeed, in this faith-soaked country, we have more impressive monuments to silly divinity; hardly have we also monuments to decent humanity. Poch Suzara

Jobs at Home

The fact is not only mothers and fathers, but also grandmothers and grandfathers, sons and daughters, granddaughters and grandsons, brothers and sisters, aunties and uncles, nephews and nieces, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, cousins, not to mention closed friends and associates ( 15 million Pinoys ) are working today in more than 162 foreign countries to keep the Philippine economy afloat. This, while strong able-bodied Pinoys are left behind praying to the Lord Jesus for the salvation of their silly souls. They also active at propagating and replenishing the Philippines with more babies for the greater glory of God in heaven. Poch Suzara

God's Holy Bible

God easily inspired Jewish authors to write the bible; but God could hardly inspire Filipino readers to read the bible.
Could any of you religious Filipinos please explain what in hell has been going on? So we are the only Christian country in Asia since the 16th century. So what? Poch Suzara

Edgar Millian

I introduce Rizal as an atheist to the RP-Rizal Forum discussion on Rizal’s life, work and writings. Edgar Millian, supposedly one of the brightest participant of this Rizal group, like a frightened religious boy, wrote and said: “This is RP-Rizal Forum. If you have nothing more relevant to say than your pent up angst and frustrations, pls. spare us.Sincerely, Edgar Millan.
Well, much to their consternation, it turned out I had more relevant things to say to Edgar about Rizal. How he and other participants reacted thus far? These college educated men responded like frightened little boys feeling angst and frustrations. They cannot stand my atheistic guts for trying to remove away from them the religious lollipop they suck on daily for the glory of Rizal’s soul they believe made it to heaven after he was executed by the Catholic Church in the Philippines.
In the meantime, God created the Rizalists shortsighted, not blind. They are made blind by faith. Faith in religious values and beliefs. And to think that these were precisely the same kind of religious morons who, in cahoots with the Catholic friars, got Jose Rizal arrested, jailed, and executed for writing truths about stupid religion keeping the Filipino poor as a people and the Philippines backward as a nation. Poch Suzara

Prayer

Religious morons pray daily to God to beg for all sorts of things or favors or support. I was, once upon a time, a religious moron myself. I used to pray daily to God to just take good care of all his children – the human race. My prayers were always ignored. Never answered. In time, I gave up. In fact, I even prayed daily to God to go tell the devil to go and screw himself, instead of screwing around with the human race already screwed-up by divine disgrace. Poch Suzara

The Bible Admonishes

The bible says: Love thy Neighbor." Well, if we hope to enjoy a decent life, we better love not only our neighbor but love also the world. Our world. It is the only world we know. The only world we have.
Unfortunately, religious morons as inspired authors of God proudly wrote in the holy bible: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1John 2:15. Poch Suzara

Religious Delusion

Why is it that when one Filipino suffers from a religious delusion, it is called insanity. And yet, when the majority of Filipinos suffer from the same religious delusion, it is called Christianity? Poch Suzara

What's Wrong with the Bible

For one thing, God inspired only its authors, but not the best part of any book – its readers, millions of them. Thus, even up to this day and age, bible readers continue to hate other bible
readers simply because the bible is full of errors and lies.
Well, another thing wrong with the bible: it encourages insufficiency and condemns self-help and independence. In fact, any action toward self-help and independence is discouraged as
it is an indication of having little faith in God’s almighty power. What is desirable is enslavement – mental submission. It is the dogma of misery and poverty and masochistic denial of the
expression of a normal personality working to fulfill one’s needs and desires. Bible messages never fail to impart that a person must never entertain the hope that, by his own efforts, he could learn to begin to enjoy the good life – one inspired by love and guided by knowledge. Poch Suzara

Human Stupidity

Nothing last forever, except human stupidity. It is happily married to infinity. Thanks to divinity. Indeed, what God has joined together, let no man put asunder. Poch Suzara

Japanese

When Japanese are caught with crimes against the public, they commit suicide. In the Philippines, when Filipinos are caught with crimes against the public, they immediately qualify to hold public office to take charge of our Republic. Poch Suzara

Sacred Books

All religions have their sacred books which are regarded as written by authors inspired by divinity. The Jews – their Talmud. The Muslims – their Quran. The Buddhists – their Sutras. The Hindus- their Bhagavad Gita. The Confucians – their Analects. The Taoists – their Tao-Te-Ching. The Vedantists – their Upanishads. The Christian – their holy bible. In the Philippines, in any bookstores, more than 40 different versions of the bible are being sold. It is always a best seller. Filipinos, however, have so very little knowledge of bible contents. They pray over the bible. They hardly read it. Many have been told to believe that serious analysis of bible contents might lead to temptation and therefore to sin. Poch Suzara

Death

Death is not partial. It is total. Man dies entirely. Death is not temporary. Nothing is more evident to him who is not a religious moron. The human body, after death, is but a mass of dead weight, incapable of producing any movements the union of which constitutes life. We no longer see circulation, respiration, digestion, speech, or reflection. Now we are told that man has a soul that separates itself from the body upon death. This is saying nothing as it is admitting that the soul is a mystery. Nothing is more natural and simple than to believe that the dead man lives no more, and nothing more moronic than to believe that the dead man is still living. To claim that the souls of men will be happy or unhappy after the death of the body, is to pretend that man will be able to see without eyes, to hear without ears, to taste without a palate, to smell without a nose, and to feel without hands and without skin. Indeed, to believe without a brain. When we are told that the soul is more excellent and noble than the body, they tell us nothing, except that it is a mystery. Well, a mystery is nothing but a childish contradiction, a palpable absurdity, a notorious impossibility, and a biblical gimcrackery. In the ultimate analysis, theology is whatever the silly theologians can not explain as theology is the study of the unknown that is not even worth knowing. Poch Suzara Twitter# Facebook# Google#

Needle in a Haystack

A man soaked in and blinded by faith need not waste time searching for a sacred needle in a holy haystack. What he must find first is the haystack itself and then go for the needle. I suggest lfinding the holy haystack hidden inside a Cathedral - the monument to human stupidity!
Meanwhile, I wish the religious morons would stop parroting the theologians – the behind-the-scene murderers of Jose Rizal. In this 21st century, for the sake of spreading more death and destruction in this God-forsaken country, the theologians only continue to explain the unknowable in terms of the-not-worth-knowing. RP-Rizal Forum

Sometimes, it is true, there are remarkable members of the RP-Forum worthy of great respect and great admiration. Much to my surprised, at this point and time, it is a she, not a he. I mean Helen. What a rarity of a Filipina outshining with intellectual guts, while the men in this group are better off going home to cry to mama. Helen wrote: “The Pinoy has lost not only the ability to think but the desire to think for himself; he’s rather let Jesus, Mary and Joseph solve their problems and he’d prefer Superman, Batman, and Spiderman clean up the mess.” Helen, what Bertrand Russell wrote about great men, certainly applies to great women such as you are: “No, the greatest men have not been “serene.” They have had, it is true, an ultimate courage, a power of creating beauty where nature has put only horror, which may, to a petty mind, appear like serenity. But their courage has had to surpass that of common men, because they seen deeper into the indifference of nature and the cruelty of man. To cover up these things with comfortable lies is the business of cowards; the business of great men is to see them with inflexible clarity, and yet to think and feel nobly. And in the degree in which we can all be great, this is the business of each one of us.” Helen, may our tribe of the real Rizal increase. Poch Suzara
